< Psalms 16 >
1 The inscription of a title to David himself. Preserve me, O Lord, for I have put trust in thee.
Miktam lok hoi sak koi David ih Saam laa. Aw Sithaw, na pakaa ah, nang khaeah ni ka buep.
2 I have said to the Lord, thou art my God, for thou hast no need of my goods.
Aw ka hinghaih, nang mah Angraeng khaeah, Nang loe ka Angraeng ni; nang ai ah loe ka hoihhaih tetta doeh ka tawn ai, tiah na naa.
3 To the saints, who are in his land, he hath made wonderful all my desires in them.
Toe long ah kaom kaciim kaminawk hoi lensawkhaih hoiah koi kaminawk to ka palung.
4 Their infirmities were multiplied: afterwards they made haste. I will not gather together their meetings for blood offerings: nor will I be mindful of their names by my lips.
Kalah sithaw khaeah caawn kaminawk loe palungsethaih pung aep tih: naek han a paek o ih athii hoiah angbawnhaih ka sah mak ai; pahni hoiah nihcae ih ahminnawk bokhaih lok to ka thui mak ai.
5 The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: it is thou that wilt restore my inheritance to me.
Angraeng loe ka toep han koi kai ih qawk hoi boengloeng ah oh: ka toep han koi taham doeh nang pahoe pae boeh.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in goodly places: for my inheritance is goodly to me.
Kahoih koek ahmuen ah nang suek; ue, kahoih qawk to ka toep boeh.
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me understanding: moreover my reins also have corrected me even till night.
Ka poekhaih paekkung, Angraeng to ka pakoeh han: aqum ah doeh ka plungthin mah na lok hoiah ang thuitaek.
8 I set the Lord always in my sight: for he is at my right hand, that I be not moved.
Angraeng to ka hmaa ah ka suek toepsoep: anih loe ka bantang bangah oh pongah, kang thui mak ai.
9 Therefore my heart hath been glad, and my tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope.
To pongah ka palungthin loe anghoe moe, ka lensawkhaih doeh anghoe: ka taksa doeh oephaih hoiah om tih.
10 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; nor wilt then give thy holy one to see corruption. (Sheol )
Ka muithla hae hell thungah na caeh taak mak ai; Ciimcai nangmah ih kami doeh na qongsak mak ai. (Sheol )
11 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt fill me with joy with thy countenance: at thy right hand are delights even to the end.
Kai hanah hinghaih loklam to na patuek tih: kacung anghoehaih loe na hmaa ah oh, na bantang bangah loe dungzan anghoehaih to oh.
