Psalms 15

1 A psalm of David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill?

مزمور داوود. ای خداوند، چه کسی می‌تواند به خیمهٔ تو وارد شود؟ چه کسی می‌تواند به حضور مقدّس تو راه یابد؟

2 He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice:

کسی که بی‌عیب و بی‌ریا باشد و هر کاری را با صداقت انجام دهد،

3 He that speaketh truth in his heart, who hath not used deceit in his tongue: Nor hath done evil to his neighbour: nor taken up a reproach against his neighbours.

کسی که از دیگران بدگویی نکند، به تهمت‌ها گوش ندهد و به همسایهٔ خود بدی نکند،

4 In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not;

کسی که بدکاران را خوار بشمارد ولی به کسی که از خدا می‌ترسد احترام بگذارد، کسی که به قول خود وفا کند اگرچه به ضررش تمام شود،

5 He that hath not put out his money to usury, nor taken bribes against the innocent: He that doth these things shall not be moved for ever.

پول قرض دهد ولی سود آن را نگیرد، و از گرفتن رشوه برای دادن شهادت بر ضد بی‌گناه خودداری کند. چنین شخصی همیشه پایدار خواهد ماند.
