Psalms 126

1 When the lord brought back the captivity of Sion, we became like men comforted.

Wenn Jehovah die Gefangenen Zions zurückbringt, werden wir sein wie Träumende.

2 Then was our mouth filled with gladness; and our tongue with joy. Then shall they say among the Gentiles: The Lord hath done great things for them.

Da wird des Lachens voll sein unser Mund, und unsere Zunge von Jubelsang. Da werden sie unter den Völkerschaften sagen: Großes hat Jehovah getan.

3 The Lord hath done great things for us: we are become joyful.

Jehovah hat Großes mit uns getan. Wir sind froh.

4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as a stream in the south.

Bringe unsere Gefangenschaft zurück, Jehovah, wie die Gießbäche im Mittagsland.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Die, so mit Tränen säen, werden mit Jubelsang ernten.

6 Going they went and wept, casting their seeds. But coming they shall come with joyfulness, carrying their sheaves.

Weinend geht dahin der den Samenwurf trägt, er kommt mit Jubelsang, er trägt seine Garben.
