Psalms 124

1 If it had not been that the Lord was with us, let Israel now say:

೧ಯಾತ್ರಾಗೀತೆ; ದಾವೀದನದು. “ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮಗಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಗತಿ ಏನಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು?”, ಎಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೇ ಹೇಳಲಿ.

2 If it had not been that the Lord was with us, When men rose up against us,

೨ನರ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನಮಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಾಗ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮಗಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ,

3 Perhaps they had swallowed us up alive. When their fury was enkindled against us,

೩“ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಉರಿಗೊಂಡು, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಜೀವಸಹಿತ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು;

4 Perhaps the waters had swallowed us up.

೪ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ನದಿಯು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು;

5 Our soul hath passed through a torrent: perhaps our soul had passed through a water insupportable.

೫ಮೀರಿದ ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಳುಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.”

6 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us to be a prey to their teeth.

೬ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡಾಟವಾಗಲಿ; ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅವರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೀಳಿಬಿಡಲು ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

7 Our soul hath been delivered as a sparrow out of the snare of the followers. The snare is broken, and we are delivered.

೭ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವವು ಬೇಟೆಗಾರನ ಬಲೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯಂತಿದೆ; ಬಲೆಯು ಹರಿದುಹೋಯಿತು, ನಾವು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು.

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

೮ಭೂಮಿ, ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ನಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗುವುದು.
