Psalms 115
1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us; but to thy name give glory.
૧હે યહોવાહ, અમોને નહિ, અમોને નહિ, કેમ કે તમારી કૃપા અને તમારા વિશ્વાસુપણાને લીધે, તમારું નામ મહિમાવાન મનાઓ,
2 For thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake: lest the gentiles should say: Where is their God?
૨પ્રજાઓ શા માટે કહે છે, “તેઓના ઈશ્વર ક્યાં છે?”
3 But our God is in heaven: he hath done all things whatsoever he would.
૩અમારા ઈશ્વર સ્વર્ગમાં છે; જે તેમણે ઇચ્છ્યું તે સર્વ તેમણે કર્યું.
4 The idols of the gentiles are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men.
૪તેઓની મૂર્તિઓ સોના તથા ચાંદીની જ છે, તેઓ માણસોના હાથનું કામ છે.
5 They have mouths and speak not: they have eyes and see not.
૫તેઓને મુખ છે, પણ તેઓ બોલી શકતી નથી; તેઓને આંખો છે, પણ તેઓ જોઈ શકતી નથી;
6 They have ears and hear not: they have noses and smell not.
૬તેઓને કાન છે, પણ તેઓ સાંભળી શકતી નથી; તેઓને નાક છે, પણ તેઓ સૂંઘી શકતી નથી.
7 They have hands and feel not: they have feet and walk not: neither shall they cry out through their throat.
૭તેઓને હાથ છે, પણ તેમનો ઉપયોગ કરી શકતી નથી; તેઓને પગ છે, પણ તે ચાલી શકતી નથી; વળી તેઓ પોતાના ગળામાંથી અવાજ કાઢી શકતી નથી.
8 Let them that make them become like unto them: and all such as trust in them.
૮તેઓના બનાવનારા અને તેઓના પર ભરોસો રાખનારા સર્વ તેઓના જેવા છે.
9 The house of Israel hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.
૯હે ઇઝરાયલ, યહોવાહ પર ભરોસો રાખ; તે તમારા મદદગાર તથા તમારી ઢાલ છે.
10 The house of Aaron hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.
૧૦હારુનનું કુટુંબ, યહોવાહ પર ભરોસો રાખો; તે તમારા મદદગાર તથા તમારી ઢાલ છે.
11 They that fear the Lord hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.
૧૧હે યહોવાહના ભક્તો, તેમના પર ભરોસો રાખો; તે તમારા મદદગાર તથા તમારી ઢાલ છે.
12 The Lord hath been mindful of us, and hath blessed us. He hath blessed the house of Israel: he hath blessed the house of Aaron.
૧૨યહોવાહે આપણને સંભાર્યા છે અને તે આપણને આશીર્વાદ આપશે; તે ઇઝરાયલના પરિવારને અને હારુનના પરિવારને આશીર્વાદ આપશે.
13 He hath blessed all that fear the Lord, both little and great.
૧૩જે યહોવાહને માન આપે છે, તેવાં નાનાં કે મોટાં બન્નેને તે આશીર્વાદ આપશે.
14 May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your children.
૧૪યહોવાહ તમારી તેમ જ તમારા વંશજોની વૃદ્ધિ કર્યા કરશે.
15 Blessed be you of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
૧૫તમે આકાશ અને પૃથ્વીના ઉત્પન્નકર્તા, યહોવાહના આશીર્વાદ પામ્યા છો.
16 The heaven of heaven is the Lord’s: but the earth he has given to the children of men.
૧૬આકાશો યહોવાહનાં છે; પણ પૃથ્વી તેમણે માણસોને આપી છે.
17 The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord: nor any of them that go down to hell. (questioned)
૧૭મૃત્યુ પામેલાઓ અથવા કબરમાં ઊતરનારા તેઓમાંનું કોઈ યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરતું નથી.
18 But we that live bless the Lord: from this time now and for ever.
૧૮પણ અમે આજથી તે સર્વકાળ સુધી યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરીશું. યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ થાઓ.
