Psalms 114

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a barbarous people:

੧ਜਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਇੱਕ ਓਪਰੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ,

2 Judea made his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

੨ਤਾਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੋਇਆ।

3 The sea saw and fled: Jordan was turned back.

੩ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਡਿੱਠਾ ਤੇ ਨੱਠਾ, ਯਰਦਨ ਉਲਟੀ ਵਗੀ!

4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the hills like the lambs of the flock.

੪ਪਰਬਤ ਛੱਤ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਟੱਪਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਲੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ।

5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou didst flee: and thou, O Jordan, that thou wast turned back?

੫ਹੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਨੱਠਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਤੂੰ, ਯਰਦਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਉਲਟੀ ਵਗਦੀ ਹੈਂ?

6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams, and ye hills, like lambs of the flock?

੬ਹੇ ਪਹਾੜੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਛੱਤ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ, ਹੇ ਪਹਾੜੀਓ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਟੱਪਦੇ ਹੋ?

7 At the presence of the Lord the earth was moved, at the presence of the God of Jacob:

੭ਹੇ ਧਰਤੀ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਕੰਬ,

8 Who turned the rock into pools of water, and the stony hill into fountains of waters.

੮ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਛੰਭ, ਚਕਮਕ ਦੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਚਸ਼ਮਾ ਬਣਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ।
