Psalms 114

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a barbarous people:

जब इस्राएलले मिश्रदेश छोड्‍यो, याकूबका घराना विदेशी भाषा बोल्ने मानिसहरूबाट आयो,

2 Judea made his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

तब यहूदा उहाँको पवित्रस्थान र इस्राएल उहाँको राज्य बन्‍यो ।

3 The sea saw and fled: Jordan was turned back.

समुद्रले हेर्‍यो र भाग्यो । यर्दन पछि फर्कियो ।

4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the hills like the lambs of the flock.

पहाडहरू पाठाहरूझैं उफ्रे, डाँडहरू थुमाहरूझैं उफ्रे ।

5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou didst flee: and thou, O Jordan, that thou wast turned back?

ए समुद्र, तँ किन भागिस्? ए यर्दन, तँ किन पछि फर्किस्?

6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams, and ye hills, like lambs of the flock?

ए पहाड, तँ किन पाठाहरूझैं उफ्रिस्? ए साना डाँडाहरू, तिमीहरू किन थुमाहरूझैं उफ्र्यौ?

7 At the presence of the Lord the earth was moved, at the presence of the God of Jacob:

ए पृथ्वी, परमप्रभुको याकूबका परमेश्‍वरको उपस्थितिमा सामु थरथर हो ।

8 Who turned the rock into pools of water, and the stony hill into fountains of waters.

उहाँले चट्टानलाई पानीको तलाउमा र कडा चट्टानलाई पानीको मूलमा बद्‍लिनुभयो ।
