Psalms 102

1 The prayer of the poor man, when he was anxious, and poured out his supplication before the Lord. Hear, O Lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to thee.

Orazione dell'afflitto, essendo angosciato, e spandendo il suo lamento davanti a Dio SIGNORE, ascolta la mia orazione, E venga il mio grido infino a te.

2 Turn not away thy face from me: in the day when I am in trouble, incline thy ear to me. In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me speedily.

Non nasconder la tua faccia da me; Nel giorno che io sono in distretta, inchina a me il tuo orecchio; Nel giorno che io grido, affrettati a rispondermi.

3 For my days are vanished like smoke: and my bones are grown dry like fuel for the fire.

Perciocchè i miei giorni son venuti meno come fumo, E le mie ossa sono arse come un tizzone.

4 I am smitten as grass, and my heart is withered: because I forgot to eat my bread.

Il mio cuore è stato percosso come erba, Ed è seccato; Perciocchè io ho dimenticato di mangiare il mio pane.

5 Through the voice of my groaning, my bone hath cleaved to my flesh.

Le mie ossa sono attaccate alla mia carne, Per la voce de' miei gemiti.

6 I am become like to a pelican of the wilderness: I am like a night raven in the house.

Io son divenuto simile al pellicano del deserto; E son come il gufo delle solitudini.

7 I have watched, and am become as a sparrow all alone on the housetop.

Io vegghio, e sono Come il passero solitario sopra il tetto. I miei nemici mi fanno vituperio tuttodì;

8 All the day long my enemies reproached me: and they that praised me did swear against me.

Quelli che sono infuriati contro a me fanno delle esecrazioni di me.

9 For I did eat ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.

Perciocchè io ho mangiata la cenere come pane, Ed ho temperata la mia bevanda con lagrime.

10 Because of thy anger and indignation: for having lifted me up thou hast thrown me down.

Per la tua indegnazione, e per lo tuo cruccio; Perciocchè, avendomi levato ad alto, tu mi hai gettato [a basso].

11 My days have declined like a shadow, and I am withered like grass.

I miei giorni [son] come l'ombra che dichina; Ed io son secco come erba.

12 But thou, O Lord, endurest for ever: and thy memorial to all generations.

Ma tu, Signore, dimori in eterno E la tua memoria [è] per ogni età.

13 Thou shalt arise and have mercy on Sion: for it is time to have mercy on it, for the time is come.

Tu ti leverai, tu avrai compassione di Sion; Perciocchè [egli è] tempo di averne pietà; Perciocchè il termine è giunto.

14 For the stones thereof have pleased thy servants: and they shall have pity on the earth thereof.

Imperocchè i tuoi servitori hanno affezione alle pietre di essa, Ed hanno pietà della sua polvere.

15 And the Gentiles shall fear thy name, O Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

E le genti temeranno il Nome del Signore, E tutti i re della terra la tua gloria,

16 For the Lord hath built up Sion: and he shall be seen in his glory.

Quando il Signore avrà riedificata Sion, [Quando] egli sarà apparito nella sua gloria,

17 He hath had regard to the prayer of the humble: and he hath not despised their petition.

Ed avrà volto lo sguardo all'orazione de' desolati, E non avrà sprezzata la lor preghiera.

18 Let these things be written unto another generation: and the people that shall be created shall praise the Lord:

Ciò sarà scritto all'età a venire; E il popolo che sarà creato loderà il Signore.

19 Because he hath looked forth from his high sanctuary: from heaven the Lord hath looked upon the earth.

Perciocchè egli avrà riguardato dall'alto luogo della sua santità; Perciocchè il Signore avrà mirato dal cielo verso la terra;

20 That he might hear the groans of them that are in fetters: that he might release the children of the slain:

Per udire i gemiti de' prigioni; Per isciogliere quelli ch'erano condannati a morte;

21 That they may declare the name of the Lord in Sion: and his praise in Jerusalem;

Acciocchè si narri in Sion il Nome del Signore, E la sua lode in Gerusalemme.

22 When the people assemble together, and kings, to serve the Lord.

Quando i popoli e i regni saranno raunati insieme, Per servire al Signore.

23 He answered him in the way of his strength: Declare unto me the fewness of my days.

Egli ha tra via abbattute le mie forze; Egli ha scorciati i miei giorni.

24 Call me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are unto generation and generation.

Io dirò: O Dio mio, non farmi trapassare al mezzo de' miei dì; I tuoi anni [durano] per ogni età.

25 In the beginning, O Lord, thou foundedst the earth: and the heavens are the works of thy hands.

Tu fondasti già la terra; E i cieli [son] l'opera delle tue mani;

26 They shall perish but thou remainest: and all of them shall grow old like a garment: And as a vesture thou shalt change them, and they shall be changed.

Queste cose periranno, ma tu dimorerai; Ed esse invecchieranno tutte, come un vestimento; Tu le muterai come una vesta, e trapasseranno.

27 But thou art always the selfsame, and thy years shall not fail.

Ma tu [sei sempre] lo stesso, E gli anni tuoi non finiranno giammai.

28 The children of thy servants shall continue: and their seed shall be directed for ever.

I figliuoli de' tuoi servitori abiteranno, E la progenie loro sarà stabilita nel tuo cospetto.
