Proverbs 9
1 Wisdom hath built herself a house, she hath hewn her out seven pillars.
১প্ৰজ্ঞাই নিজৰ গৃহ নিৰ্মাণ কৰিলে; তেওঁ শিলৰ পৰা সাতটা স্তম্ভ কাটিলে।
2 She hath slain her victims, mingled her wine, and set forth her table.
২তেওঁ ৰাতিৰ আহাৰৰ বাবে নিজৰ পশু আৰু দ্রাক্ষাৰস যুগুত কৰিলে; আৰু তেওঁ নিজৰ মেজ সজালে।
3 She hath sent her maids to invite to the tower, and to the walls of the city:
৩তেওঁ নিজৰ দাসীসকলক বাহিৰলৈ পঠাই নগৰৰ ওখ ঠাইৰ পৰা নিমন্ত্ৰণ কৰিলে।
4 Whosoever is a little one, let him come to me. And to the unwise she said:
৪“যিসকল অশিক্ষিত, তেওঁলোক ইয়ালৈ আহক!” যিসকল জ্ঞানশূন্য তেওঁলোকক তেওঁ ক’লে,
5 Come, eat my bread, and drink the wine which I have mingled for you.
৫“আহাঁ, মোৰ আহাৰ ভোজন কৰা, আৰু মই মিহলাই থোৱা দ্ৰাক্ষাৰস পান কৰা।
6 Forsake childishness, and live, and walk by the ways of prudence.
৬শিক্ষাবিহীন পথ এৰি জীৱন ধাৰণ কৰা, সুবিবেচনাৰ পথত চলা।
7 He that teacheth a scorner, doth an injury to himself: and he that rebuketh a wicked man, getteth himself a blot.
৭যিজনে নিন্দক লোকক শিক্ষা দিয়ে, তেওঁ অপমান পায়, আৰু যিজনে দুষ্টক অনুযোগ কৰে, তেওঁ মনত আঘাত পায়।
8 Rebuke not a scorner lest he hate thee. Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
৮তুমি নিন্দক লোকক অনুযোগ নকৰিবা, কৰিলে তেওঁ তোমাক ঘিণ কৰিব; জ্ঞানী লোকক অনুযোগ কৰা, তেওঁ তোমাক প্ৰেম কৰিব।
9 Give an occasion to a wise man, and wisdom shall be added to him. Teach a just man, and he shall make haste to receive it.
৯জ্ঞানী লোকক শিক্ষা দিয়া, তেওঁ অধিক জ্ঞানী হ’ব; ধাৰ্মিক লোকক শিক্ষা দিয়া, তেওঁ শিক্ষাত বৃদ্ধি পাব।
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence.
১০যিহোৱালৈ ভয় ৰখাই প্রজ্ঞাৰ আৰম্ভণ, আৰু পবিত্ৰজনাক জনাই সুবিবেচনা।
11 For by me shall thy days be multiplied, and years of life shall be added to thee.
১১কিয়নো মোৰ দ্বাৰাই তোমাৰ আয়ুস বৃদ্ধি হ’ব, আৰু তোমাৰ জীৱনৰ বছৰবোৰ বাঢ়ি যাব।
12 If thou be wise, thou shalt be so to thyself: and if a scorner, thou alone shalt bear the evil.
১২তুমি যদি জ্ঞানী, তেনেহ’লে তোমাৰ বাবেই তুমি জ্ঞানী, কিন্তু যদি তুমি নিন্দক, তেনেহ’লে তুমি অকলেই তাৰ ভাৰ ব’বা।”
13 A foolish woman and clamorous, and full of allurements, and knowing nothing at all,
১৩অজ্ঞানী মহিলা কোলাহলপূৰ্ণ- তেওঁ অশিক্ষিত, আৰু তেওঁ একো নাজানে।
14 Sat at the door of her house, upon a seat, in a high place of the city,
১৪তেওঁ নিজৰ ঘৰৰ দুৱাৰত, আৰু নগৰৰ উচ্চ স্থানত বহে।
15 To call them that pass by the way, and go on their journey:
১৫যিসকলে সেই পথেৰে যায়, তেওঁলোকক মাতে; সেই লোকসকল নিজ পথত গৈ থাকিলেও তেওঁ মাতে,
16 He that is a little one, let him turn to me. And to the fool she said:
১৬“যিসকলে শিক্ষা পোৱা নাই, তেওঁলোক ইয়ালৈ আহক!” যিসকল জ্ঞানশূন্য, তেওঁলোকক তেওঁ কয়,
17 Stolen waters are sweeter, and hid den bread is more pleasant.
১৭“চুৰ কৰা পানী মিঠা, আৰু গুপুতে খোৱা আহাৰ অতি সুস্বাদু।”
