Proverbs 31
1 The words of king Lamuel. The vision wherewith his mother instructed him.
Dagiti sasao ni Ari Lemuel— mensahe manipud iti Dios nga insuro kenkuana ti inana.
2 What, O my beloved, what, O the beloved of my womb, what, O the beloved of my vows?
Ania, anakko? Ken ania, anak ti aanakak? Ken ania, anak dagiti sapatak? —
3 Give not thy substance to women, and thy riches to destroy kings.
Saanmo nga ited ti pigsam kadagiti babbai, wenno dagiti wagasmo kadagiti mangdaddadael kadagiti ari.
4 Give not to kings, O Lamuel, give not wine to kings: because there is no secret where drunkenness reigneth:
Saan a para kadagiti ari, Lemuel, saan a para kadagiti ari ti uminom iti arak, wenno kadagiti mangiturturay ti mangdamag nga, “Ayanna ti naingel a mainom?”
5 And lest they drink and forget judgments, and pervert the cause of the children of the poor.
Gapu ta no uminomda malipatanda dagiti naipaulog a linteg, ket saanda a bigbigen dagiti kalintegan dagiti amin a marigrigatan.
6 Give strong drink to them that are sad: and wine to them that are grieved in mind:
Ikkam iti naingel a mainom dagiti tattao a mapukpukaw, ken arak dagiti agsagsagaba.
7 Let them drink, and forget their want, and remember their sorrow no more.
Uminom isuna ket malipatanna ti kinapanglawna, ket saanna a malagip ti pakariribukanna.
8 Open thy mouth for the dumb, and for the causes of all the children that pass.
Agsaoka para kadagiti saan a makasao, para kadagiti amin a mapukpukaw.
9 Open thy mouth, decree that which is just, and do justice to the needy and poor.
Agsaoka ket mangukomka babaen iti pannakarukod iti nalinteg ken ikalintegam ti karbengan dagiti napanglaw ken agkasapulan a tattao.
10 Who shall find a valiant woman? far and from the uttermost coasts is the price of her.
Siasino ti makasarak iti asawa a babai nga adda kabaelanna? Napatpateg isuna nga adayo ngem kadagiti alahas.
11 The heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall have no need of spoils.
Agtaltalek kenkuana ti puso ti asawana, ken saanto pulos a pumanglaw ti asawana.
12 She will render him good, and not evil, all the days of her life.
Agar-aramid isuna iti nasasayaat a banbanag para iti asawana ken saan a kinadakes iti entero a panagbiagna.
13 She hath sought wool and flax, and hath wrought by the counsel of her hands.
Mangpilpili isuna iti lupot a naaramid iti buok iti karnero ken de lana a lupot, ket agtrabaho isuna a siraragsak kadagiti imana.
14 She is like the merchant’s ship, she bringeth her bread from afar.
Maiyarig isuna iti agtagtagilako iti barko; mangisangsangpet isuna kadagiti taraon manipud iti adayo a lugar.
15 And she hath risen in the night, and given a prey to her household, and victuals to her maidens.
Bumangon isuna iti rabii ket ikkanna iti taraon dagiti sangkabalayanna, ket iwarasna ti trabaho para kadagiti adipenna a babbai.
16 She hath considered a field, and bought it: with the fruit of her hands she hath planted a vineyard.
Agbirok isuna iti talon ket gatangenna daytoy babaen iti bunga dagiti imana, agmula isuna iti ubas.
17 She hath girded her loins with strength, and hath strengthened her arm.
Kawkawesanna ti bagina iti pigsa ken pappapigsaenna dagiti imana.
18 She hath tasted and seen that her traffic is good: her lamp shall not be put out in the night.
Ammona no anianto ti mangted kenkuana iti nasayaat a gungona, agpatpatnag a saan a maiddep ti silawna.
19 She hath put out her hand to strong things, and her fingers have taken hold of the spindle.
Iyiggemna dagiti imana iti rueda, ken igemanna ti takbian.
20 She hath opened her hand to the needy, and stretched out her hands to the poor.
Iyunatna dagiti imana kadagiti napanglaw a tattao; iyunatna dagiti imana kadagiti agkasapulan a tattao.
21 She shall not fear for her house in the cold of snow: for all her domestics are clothed with double garments.
Saan isuna a mabuteng iti niebe para iti sangakabalayanna, ta nakawesan iti natingra a nalabaga ti sangakabalayanna.
22 She hath made for herself clothing of tapestry: fine linen, and purple is her covering.
Agar-aramid isuna kadagiti abbong ti pagidaanna, ket agkawkawes isuna iti lino a pagan-anay a purpura ti marisna.
23 Her husband is honourable in the gates, when he sitteth among the senators of the land.
Mabigbigbig ti asawana kadagiti ruangan, tunggal makitugtugaw ti asawana kadagiti panglakayen iti daga.
24 She made fine linen, and sold it, and delivered a girdle to the Chanaanite.
Agar-aramid isuna kadagiti lino a pagan-anay ket ilaklakona dagitoy, ken mangipapaay isuna iti barikes kadagiti agtagtakilako.
25 Strength and beauty are her clothing, and she shall laugh in the latter day.
Nakawesan isuna iti pigsa ken dayaw, ket katkatawaanna ti umay a tiempo.
26 She hath opened her mouth to wisdom, and the law of clemency is on her tongue.
Iyungapna ti ngiwatna a nabuyugan iti kinasirib, ken adda ti linteg ti kinamanangaasi iti dilana.
27 She hath looked well to the paths of her house, and hath not eaten her bread idle.
Banbantayanna dagiti wagas ti sangakabalayanna ket saanna a kanen ti tinapay ti kinasadut.
28 Her children rose up, and called her blessed: her husband, and he praised her.
Tumakder dagiti annakna ket awaganda isuna a nagasat; idaydayaw isuna ti asawana a kunkunana,
29 Many daughters have gathered together riches: thou hast surpassed them all.
“Adu a babbai ti nakaaramid iti nasayaat, ngem inabakmo ida amin.”
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: the woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Makaallilaw ti kinapintas, awan serserbi ti kinapintas, ngem maidaydayawto ti babai nga agbuteng kenni Yahweh.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands: and let her works praise her in the gates.
Itedyo kenkuana ti bunga ti aramidna ket bay-anyo nga idaydayaw koma isuna dagiti aramidna kadagiti ruangan.
