Proverbs 26
1 As snow in summer, and rain in harvest, so glory is not seemly for a fool.
၁နွေ ကာလ၌ မိုဃ်းပွင့် ကဲ့သို့ ၎င်း၊ စပါး ရိတ်ရာကာလ ၌ မိုဃ်း ရေကဲ့သို့ ၎င်း၊ မိုက် သောသူသည် ဂုဏ် အသရေကို မ ခံသင့်။
2 As a bird flying to other places, and a sparrow going here or there: so a curse uttered without cause shall come upon a man.
၂စာငှက် သည် အရပ်ရပ် လှည့်လည်၍ ၊ ဇရက် သည် လည်း ပျံ သွားသကဲ့သို့ ၊ ထိုနည်းတူ အကြောင်း မရှိသော ကျိန်ဆဲ ခြင်းသည် မ သင့်မရောက် တတ်။
3 A whip for a horse, and a snaffle for an ass, and a rod for the back of fools.
၃မြင်း ဘို့ နှင်တံ ၊ မြင်း ဘို့ ဇက်ကြိုး ၊ မိုက် သောသူ၏ ကျော ဘို့ ကြိမ်လုံး သည် သင့်ပေ၏။
4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou be made like him.
၄မိုက် သောသူ၏ သဘောသို့လိုက်၍၊ သူ၏စကား ကို မ ချေ နှင့်။ ထိုသို့ ချေလျှင် သူ နှင့် တူ လိမ့်မည်။
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he imagine himself to be wise.
၅မိုက်သောသူ၏ သဘောသို့လိုက်၍ သူ၏စကား ကို ချေလော့။ သို့မဟုတ် ၊ သူသည် ဝါကြွားသောစိတ် ရှိ လိမ့်မည်။
6 He that sendeth words by a foolish messenger, is lame of feet and drinketh iniquity.
၆မိုက် သော သူတွင် မှာ လိုက်သောသူသည် ကိုယ်ခြေ ကို ဖြတ် ၍ အကျိုးနည်းရှိ ၏။
7 As a lame man hath fair legs in vain: so a parable is unseemly in the mouth of fools.
၇သုတ္တံ စကားကို မိုက် သောသူ ပြော ခြင်းသည် ခြေဆွံ့ သောသူ၏ ခြေ ကြွ ခြင်း ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၏။
8 As he that casteth a stone into the heap of Mercury: so is he that giveth honour to a fool.
၈မိုက် သောသူကို ချီးမြှောက် ခြင်းသည် ကျောက် ပုံ ၌ ကျောက်မြတ် ကို ပစ် ထားခြင်းကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၏။
9 As if a thorn should grow in the hand of a drunkard: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
၉ဆူး သည် ယစ်မူး သောသူ၏လက် ကို စူး သကဲ့သို့ ၊ သတ္တံ စကားသည် မိုက် သောသူ၏ နှုတ် ၌ ရှိ၏။
10 Judgment determineth causes: and he that putteth a fool to silence, appeaseth anger.
၁၀ကြီး သောသူသည် ခပ်သိမ်း သောသူတို့ကို တုန်လှုပ် စေတတ်၏။ မိုက် သောသူနှင့် ပြစ်မှား တတ် သောသူတို့ ကို စေ သုံးတတ်၏။
11 As a dog that returneth to his vomit, so is the fool that repeateth his folly.
၁၁ခွေး သည် မိမိ အန်ဖတ် ကို ပြန် ၍စားတတ်သကဲ့သို့ ၊ မိုက် သောသူသည် မိုက် သောအကျင့်ကို ပြန် ၍ ကျင့်တတ်၏။
12 Hast thou seen a man wise in his own conceit? there shall be more hope of a fool than of him.
၁၂ငါသည် ပညာ ရှိ၏ဟု ထင် သောသူ ရှိလျှင်၊ ထိုသူ ၌ မြော်လင့်စရာအခွင့်ရှိသည်ထက်၊ မိုက် သောသူ၌ သာ၍ မြော်လင့် စရာအခွင့်ရှိ၏။
13 The slothful man saith: There is a lion in the way, and a lioness in the roads.
၁၃ပျင်းရိ သောသူက၊ အိမ် ပြင်မှာ ခြင်္သေ့ ရှိ၏။ လမ်း တို့၌ ခြင်္သေ့ ရှိ၏ဟု ဆို တတ်၏။
14 As the door turneth upon its hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.
၁၄တံခါးရွက် သည် စရွေး ၌ လည် သကဲ့သို့ ပျင်းရိ သောသူသည် အိပ်ရာ ပေါ် မှာ လည်တတ်၏။
15 The slothful hideth his hand under his armpit, and it grieveth him to turn it to his mouth.
၁၅ပျင်းရိ သောသူသည် မိမိ လက် ကို အိုး ၌ သွင်း သော်လည်း၊ တဖန်နှုတ် ၍ မိမိ ပစပ် သို့ ခွံရလျှင် စိတ်ညစ် တတ်၏။
16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit, than seven men that speak sentences.
၁၆ပျင်းရိ သောသူက၊ ငါသည် အကျိုးအကြောင်းကို ပြတတ်သောသူ ခုနစ် ယောက်ထက် သာ၍ပညာရှိသည် ဟု ကိုယ်ကိုထင်တတ်၏။
17 As he that taketh a dog by the ears, so is he that passeth by in anger, and meddleth with another man’s quarrel.
၁၇လမ်း၌ရှောက်သွား ၍ မိမိ မ ဆိုင်သောအမှု ကို ရောနှော သောသူသည် ခွေး နားရွက် ကို ကိုင် ဆွဲသောသူ နှင့် တူ၏။
18 As he is guilty that shooteth arrows, and lances unto death:
၁၈ငါ ကျီစား ရုံမျှသာ ပြုသည်ဟုဆို လျက်၊
19 So is the man that hurteth his friend deceitfully: and when he is taken, saith: I did it in jest.
၁၉မိမိ အိမ်နီးချင်း ကို လှည့်စား သောသူ သည် မီးစ ၊ မြှား ၊ သေဘေး ကို ပစ် တတ်သော အရူး နှင့် တူ၏။
20 When the wood faileth, the fire shall go out: and when the talebearer is taken away, contentions shall cease.
၂၀ထင်း မ ရှိလျှင် မီး သေ တတ်သကဲ့သို့ ကုန်းတိုက် သော သူမ ရှိလျှင် ရန် ငြိမ်း တတ်၏။
21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire, so an angry man stirreth up strife.
၂၁မီးခဲ ချင်းပြုသကဲ့သို့၎င်း ၊ ထင်း သည် မီး ကို မွေး သကဲ့သို့ ၎င်း၊ ရန်တွေ့ တတ်သောသူ သည် ခိုက်ရန် မှုကို ပြုစု တတ်၏။
22 The words of a talebearer are as it were simple, but they reach to the innermost parts of the belly.
၂၂ကုန်းတိုက် သောသူ ၏စကား သည် မြိန် သော ခဲဘွယ် စားဘွယ်ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၍ ၊ ဝမ်း အတွင်း သို့ဝင် တတ်၏။
23 Swelling lips joined with a corrupt heart, are like an earthen vessel adorned with silver dross.
၂၃ချစ် အားကြီးသောနှုတ် နှင့် ၊ ဆိုးညစ် သော စိတ် နှလုံး သည် ချော် မွမ်းမံ သော အိုးခြမ်း နှင့် တူ၏။
24 An enemy is known by his lips, when in his heart he entertaineth deceit.
၂၄အငြိုး ထားသောသူသည် နှုတ် ဖြင့် လျှို့ဝှက် ၍ ၊ ကိုယ် ထဲမှာလှည့်စား သော သဘောကိုဝှက်ထား တတ်၏။
25 When he shall speak low, trust him not: because there are seven mischiefs in his heart.
၂၅ထိုသို့သောသူ ၏ စကား သည် ချို သော်လည်း မ ယုံ နှင့်။ သူ ၏စိတ် နှလုံးထဲမှာ စက်ဆုပ် ရွံရှာဘွယ်သော အရာခုနစ် ပါးရှိ၏။
26 He that covereth hatred deceitfully, his malice shall be laid open in the public assembly.
၂၆အငြိုး ထားခြင်းကို လှည့်စား ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ဝှက်ထား သောသူ ၏ ဒုစရိုက် အပြစ်သည် ပရိသတ် ရှေ့ မှာ ထင်ရှား လိမ့်မည်။
27 He that diggeth a pit, shall fall into it: and he that rolleth a stone, it shall return to him.
၂၇တွင်း တူး သောသူသည် မိမိ တွင်းထဲသို့ ကျ လိမ့်မည်။ ကျောက် ကို လှိမ့် သောသူအပေါ် သို့ ထို ကျောက် သည် ပြန် ၍လိမ့်လိမ့်မည်။
28 A deceitful tongue loveth not truth: and a slippery mouth worketh ruin.
၂၈မုသား ပြော တတ်သောသူသည် မိမိ ညှဉ်းဆဲ သောသူတို့ကို မုန်း တတ်၏။ ချော့မော့ တတ်သောသူသည် လည်း ဖျက်ဆီး တတ်၏။
