Proverbs 2

1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and wilt hide my commandments with thee,

၁ငါ့သား၊ သင်သည်ပညာစကားကို နားထောင်၍၊

2 That thy ear may hearken to wisdom: Incline thy heart to know prudence:

၂စေတနာစိတ်နှင့်ဥာဏ်ကို ရှာဖွေသည်တိုင်အောင်၊ ငါ့စကားကို နားခံ၍၊ ငါ့ပညတ်တို့ကို ကိုယ်အထဲ၌ သွင်းမိလျှင်၎င်း၊

3 For if thou shalt call for wisdom, and incline thy heart to prudence:

၃သိပ္ပံအတတ်ကိုခေါ်၍၊ ဥာဏ်နောက်သို့ အသံ ကိုလွှင့်လျှင်၎င်း၊

4 If thou shalt seek her as money, and shalt dig for her as for a treasure:

၄ငွေကိုရှာတတ်သကဲ့သို့ ပညာကိုရှာ၍၊ ဝှက်ထား သောဘဏ္ဍာကို စူးစမ်းတတ်သကဲ့သို့၊ ဥာဏ်ကို စူးစမ်း လျှင်၎င်း၊

5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and shalt find the knowledge of God.

၅ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကြောက်သောသဘော၌ ကျင်လည်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုသိသော ဥာဏ်နှင့်ပြည့်စုံ လိမ့်မည်။

6 Because the Lord giveth wisdom: and out of his mouth cometh prudence and knowledge.

၆အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ပညာကို ပေးတော်မူတတ်၏။ နားလည်နိုင်သော ဥာဏ်သည် နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်အားဖြင့်သာဖြစ်တတ်၏။

7 He will keep the salvation of the righteous, and protect them that walk in simplicity.

၇ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့အဘို့ ပညာရတနာကို သိုထားတော်မူ၏။ တရားသဖြင့်ကျင့်သောသူတို့ကို ကွယ်ကာတော်မူ၏။

8 Keeping the paths of justice, and guarding the ways of saints.

၈မိမိသန့်ရှင်းသူတို့သည်တရားလမ်းကို စောင့် ရှောက်မည်အကြောင်း၊ သူတို့၏လမ်းခရီးကို လုံခြုံ စေတော်မူ၏။

9 Then shalt thou understand justice, and judgment, and equity, and every good path.

၉ကျေးဇူးတော်ကြောင့် သင်သည် ဖြောင့်မတ်စွာ ကျင့်ခြင်း။ တရားသဖြင့်စီရင်ခြင်း၊ လျစ်လျူစွာ ဆုံးဖြတ် ခြင်းမှစ၍၊ ကောင်းသောလမ်းရှိသမျှတို့ကို သိနားလည် လိမ့်မည်။

10 If wisdom shall enter into thy heart, and knowledge please thy soul:

၁၀ပညာသည်သင်၏နှလုံးထဲသို့ဝင်၍၊ သင်သည် သိကြားခြင်း၌ မွေ့လျော်သောအခါ၊

11 Counsel shall keep thee, and prudence shall preserve thee,

၁၁သမ္မာသတိသည် သင့်ကို ထိန်းသိမ်း၍၊ ဥာဏ်သည်လည်း စောင့်ရှောက်သဖြင့်၊

12 That thou mayst be delivered from the evil way, and from the man that speaketh perverse things:

၁၂ဆိုးသောလမ်းမှ ကယ်တင်လိမ့်မည်။ ကောက် သောစကားကို ပြောတတ်သောသူ၊

13 Who leave the right way, and walk by dark ways:

၁၃ဖြောင့်မတ်သောလမ်းကိုစွန့်၍၊ မိုက်မဲသော လမ်းသို့လိုက်သောသူ၊

14 Who are glad when they have done evil, and rejoice in most wicked things:

၁၄ဒုစရိုက်၌မွေ့လျော်၍ အဓမ္မလူ၏ ကောက်လိမ် ခြင်းကို အားရနှစ်သက်သောသူ၊

15 Whose ways are perverse, and their steps infamous.

၁၅ဖြောင့်သောလမ်းသို့မလိုက်၊ ကောက်သော လမ်းသို့သာ လိုက်သောသူတို့၏လက်မှ၎င်း၊

16 That thou mayst be delivered from the strange women, and from the stranger, who softeneth her words:

၁၆အမျိုးပျက်သောမိန်းမ၊ နှုတ်နှင့်ချော့မော့တတ် သော ပြည်တန်ဆာမိန်းမ၊

17 And forsaketh the guide of her youth,

၁၇အသက်ငယ်စဉ်ပဲ့ပြင်သော ကျေးဇူးရှင်ကိုစွန့်၍၊ မိမိဘုရားသခင်၏ ပဋိညာဉ်တရားကို မေ့လျော့သော မိန်းမလက်မှ၎င်း၊ သင့်ကို ကယ်တင်လိမ့်မည်။

18 And hath forgotten the covenant of her God: for her house inclineth unto death, and her paths to hell. (questioned)

၁၈ထိုမိန်းမ၏အိမ်သည် သေခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း၊ သူလိုက်သော လမ်းတို့သည် သင်္ချိုင်းသားနေရာနှင့်၎င်း စပ်ဆိုင် သဖြင့်၊

19 None that go in unto her shall return again, neither shall they take hold of the paths of life,

၁၉သူ၏အိမ်သို့ဝင်သောသူ တစုံတယောက်မျှ မပြန်ရ။ အသက်လမ်းကို မမှီရ။

20 That thou mayst walk in a good way: and mayst keep the paths of the just.

၂၀သင်သည် သူတော်ကောင်းတို့၏ လမ်းသို့ရှောက်၍၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူတို့၏ လမ်းခရီးထဲက မထွက်ဘဲ အစဉ်တစိုက်လိုက်ရမည်အကြောင်းတည်း။

21 For they that are upright shall dwell in the earth, and the simple shall continue in it.

၂၁ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့သည်ပြည်တော်၌နေ၍၊ စုံလင်သော သူတို့သည် နေရာကျကြလိမ့်မည်။

22 But the wicked shall be destroyed from the earth: and they that do unjustly shall be taken away from it.

၂၂အဓမ္မလူတို့မူကား၊ ပြည်တော်မှပယ်ရှင်းခြင်း၊ လွန်ကျူးသော သူတို့သည် နှုတ်ပစ်ခြင်းကို ခံရကြလိမ့် မည်။
