Numbers 1
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai in the tabernacle of the covenant, the first day of the second month, the second year of their going out of Egypt, saying:
सीनैको मरुभूमिमा भेट हुने पालमा परमप्रभु मोशासँग बोल्नुभयो । यो इस्राएलका मानिसहरू मिश्र देशबाट निस्की आएका दोस्रो वर्षको दोस्रो महिनाको पहिलो दिनमा भएको थियो । परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो,
2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel by their families, and houses, and the names of every one, as many as are of the male sex,
“इस्राएलको हरेक कुलको सबै पुरुषहरूको तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका परिवार-परिवारअनुसार जनगणना गर् । तिनीहरूका नाउँअनुसार गन् । हरेक पुरुषको गणना गर्,
3 From twenty years old and upwards, of all the men of Israel fit for war, and you shall number them by their troops, thou and Aaron.
जो बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका छन् । इस्राएलको निम्ति सिपाहीको रूपमा लड्न सक्ने सबैलाई गन् । तैँले र हारूनले तिनीहरूका सशस्त्र समूह-समूहअनुसार पुरुषहरूको सङ्ख्याको अभिलेख राख्नुपर्छ ।
4 And there shall be with you the princes of the tribes, and of the houses in their kindreds,
हरेक कुलको एक जना पुरुषले अर्थात् वंशको मुखियाले आफ्नो वंशको अगुवाको रूपमा तिमीहरूसँग सेवा गर्नुपर्छ ।
5 Whose names are these: Of Ruben, Elisur the son of Sedeur.
हरेक अगुवाले तिनको वंशको निम्ति लड्ने पुरुषहरूको नेतृत्व गर्नुपर्छ । तिमीहरूसँगै रहेर लड्ने अगुवाहरूका नाउँहरू यिनै हुन्ः रूबेनको कुलबाट शदेऊरको छोरो एलीसूर; शिमियोनको
6 Of Simeon, Salamiel the son of Surisaddai.
कुलबाट सुरीशद्दैको छोरो शलूमीएल ।
7 Of Juda, Nahasson the son of Aminadab.
यहूदाको कुलबाट अम्मीनादाबको छोरो नहशोन;
8 Of Issachar, Nathanael the son of Suar.
इस्साखारको कुलबाट सूआरको छोरो नतनेल;
9 Of Zabulon, Eliab the son of Helon.
जबूलूनको कुलबाट हेलोनको छोरो एलीआब;
10 And of the sons of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elisama the son of Ammiud: of Manasses, Gamaliel the son of Phadassur.
योसेफको छोरो एफ्राइमको कुलबाट अम्मीहूदको छोरो एलीशामा; मनश्शेको कुलबाट पदासूरको छोरो गमलिएल;
11 Of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gedeon.
बेन्यामीनको कुलबाट गिदेओनीको छोरो अबीदान;
12 Of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammisaddai.
दानको कुलबाट अम्मीसद्दैको छोरो अहिएजेर;
13 Of Aser, Phegiel the son of Ochran.
आशेरको कुलबाट ओक्रानको छोरो पगीएल;
14 Of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Duel.
गातको कुलबाट दूएलको छोरो एल्यासाप;
15 Of Nephtali, Ahira the son of Enan.
नप्तालीको कुलबाट एनानको छोरो अहीरा ।”
16 These are the most noble princes of the multitude by their tribes and kindreds, and the chiefs of the army of Israel:
मानिसहरूबाट चुनिएका पुरुषहरूका नाउँहरू यिनै थिए । तिनीहरूले आ-आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूका कुलको नेतृत्व गरे । तिनीहरू इस्राएलका कुलहरूका अगुवाहरू थिए ।
17 Whom Moses and Aaron took with all the multitude of the common people:
नाउँअनुसार अभिलेख राखिएका यी पुरुषहरूलाई मोशा र हारूनले लिए, र
18 And assembled them on the first day of the second month, reckoning them up by the kindreds, and houses, and families, and heads, and names of every one from twenty years old and upward,
यी मानिसहरूसँगै एस्राएलका सबै मानिस दोस्रो महिनाको पहिलो दिनमा भेला भए ।
19 As the Lord had commanded Moses. And they were numbered in the desert of Sinai.
त्यसपछि बिस वर्ष र त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषले आ-आफ्ना पुर्ख्यौली पहिचान गरे । तिनीहरूले आफू जन्मिएको कुल र परिवारहरूको नाउँ उल्लेख गर्नुपर्थ्यो । त्यसपछि मोशाले सीनैको मरुभूमिमा परमप्रभुले आज्ञा गर्नुभएअनुसार तिनीहरूका सङ्ख्याहरूको अभिलेख राखे ।
20 Of Ruben the eldest son of Israel, by their generations and families and houses and names of every head, all that were of the male sex, from twenty years old and upward, that were able to go forth to war,
इस्राएलका जेठा छोरो रूबेनका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूका अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
21 Were forty-six thousand five hundred.
रूबनेको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ४६,५०० पुरुष थिए ।
22 Of the sons of Simeon by their generations and families, and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names and heads of every one, all that were of the male sex, from twenty years old and upward, that were able to go forth to war,
शिमियोनका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूका अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
23 Fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
शिमियोनका कुलबाट तिनीहरू ५९,३०० पुरुष थिए ।
24 Of the sons of Gad, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
गादका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
25 Forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.
गादको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ४५,६५० पुरुष थिए ।
26 Of the sons of Juda, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
यहूदाका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
27 Were reckoned up seventy-four thousand six hundred.
यहूदाको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ७४,६०० पुरुष थिए ।
28 Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that could go forth to war,
इस्साखारका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
29 Were reckoned up fifty-four thousand four hundred.
इस्साखारको कुलबाट ५४,४०० पुरुष थिए ।
30 Of the sons of Zabulon, by the generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
जबूलूनका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
31 Fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
जबूलूनको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ५७,४०० पुरुष थिए ।
32 Of the sons of Joseph, namely, of the sons of Ephraim, by the generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
योसेफका छोरा एफ्राइमका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
33 Forty thousand five hundred.
एफ्राइमको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ४०,५०० पुरुष थिए ।
34 Moreover of the sons of Manasses, by the generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that could go forth to war,
मनश्शेका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
35 Thirty-two thousand two hundred.
मनश्शेको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ३२,२०० पुरुष थिए ।
36 Of the sons of Benjamin, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
बेन्यामीनका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
37 Thirty-five thousand four hundred.
बेन्यामीनको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ३५,४०० पुरुष थिए ।
38 Of the sons of Dan, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
दानका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
39 Sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
दानको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ६२,७०० पुरुष थिए ।
40 Of the sons of Aser, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
आशेरका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
41 Forty-one thousand and five hundred.
आशेरको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ४१,५०० पुरुष थिए ।
42 Of the sons of Nephtali, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
नप्तालीका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
43 Fifty-three thousand four hundred.
नप्तालीको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ५३,४०० पुरुष थिए ।
44 These era they who were numbered by Moses and Aaron, and the twelve princes of Israel, every one by the houses of their kindreds.
मोशा र हारूनले यी पुरुषहरूलाई इस्राएलका बाह्र कुललाई नेतृत्व गर्ने बाह्र पुरुषसँगै गन्ती गरे ।
45 And the whole number of the children of Israel by their houses and families, from twenty years old and upward, that were able to go to war,
यसैले लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष र त्यसभन्दा माथिका इस्राएलका सबै पुरुषहरूको हरेकको आ-आफ्ना परिवार-परिवारअनुसार गन्ती गरियो ।
46 Were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men.
तिनीहरू ६,०३,५५० पुरुष थिए ।
47 But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them.
तर लेवीका सन्तानहरूको गन्ती
48 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
गरिएन, किनभने परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
49 Number not the tribe of Levi, neither shalt thou put down the sum of them with the children of Israel:
“तैँले लेवीको कुललाई नगन्नू वा इस्राएलका कुल मानिसहरूमा नगाभ्नू ।
50 But appoint them over the tabernacle of the testimony, and all the vessels thereof, and whatsoever pertaineth to the ceremonies. They shall carry the tabernacle and all the furniture thereof: and they shall minister, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
बरु, लेवीहरूलाई पवित्र वासस्थानको करारका विधिहरूको हेरचाह गर्न र पवित्र वासस्थानका सबै सरसामान र यसमा भएका सबै कुराको हेरचाह गर्न नियुक्त गर्नू ।
51 When you are to go forward, the Levites shall take down the tabernacle: when you are to camp, they shall set it up. What stranger soever cometh to it, shall be slain.
पवित्र वासस्थान अर्को ठाउँमा सार्नुपर्दा यसलाई लेवीहरूले उठाउनुपर्छ । पवित्र वासस्थान खडा गर्नुपर्दा लेवीहरूले नै खडा गर्नुपर्छ । पवित्र वासस्थानको नजिक आउने कुनै पनि अपरिचित व्यक्तिलाई मार्नू ।
52 And the children of Israel shall camp every man by his troops and bands and army.
इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले आ-आफ्ना पालहरू टाँग्दा हरेकले तिनीहरूका सशस्त्र समुहको झण्डाको नजिकै टाँग्नू ।
53 But the Levites shall pitch their tents round about the tabernacle, lest there come indignation upon the multitude of the children of Israel, and they shall keep watch, and guard the tabernacle of the testimony.
तथापि, लेवीहरूले तिनीहरूका पाल करारका विधिका पवित्र वासस्थान वरिपरि टाँग्नुपर्छ, ताकि इस्राएलका मानिसहरूमाथि मेरो रिस नपरोस् । लेवीहरूले करारका विधिहरूको पवित्र वासस्थानको हेरचाह गर्नुपर्छ ।
54 And the children of Israel did according to all things which the Lord had commanded Moses.
इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले यी सबै कुरा गरे । परमप्रभुले मोशाद्वारा आज्ञा गर्नुभएको सबै थोक तिनीहरूले गरे ।
