Numbers 9
1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying:
Habló Yahvé a Moisés en el desierto del Sinaí, el primer mes del año segundo después de la salida de la tierra de Egipto, y dijo:
2 Let the children of Israel make the phase in its due time,
“Los hijos de Israel han de celebrar la Pascua al tiempo señalado.
3 The fourteenth day of this month in the evening, according to all the ceremonies and justifications thereof.
El día catorce de este mes, entre las dos tardes, la celebraréis al tiempo señalado, observando todas las leyes y todos los ritos referentes a ella.”
4 And Moses commanded the children of Israel that they should make the phase.
Y dijo Moisés a los hijos de Israel que celebrasen la Pascua.
5 And they made it in its proper time: the fourteenth day of the month at evening, in mount Sinai. The children of Israel did according to all things that the Lord had commanded Moses.
Celebraron, pues, la Pascua el día catorce del primer mes, entre las dos tardes, en el desierto del Sinaí. Conforme a todo lo que Yahvé había mandado a Moisés, así hicieron los hijos de Israel.
6 But behold some who were unclean by occasion of the soul of a man, who could not make the phase on that day, coming to Moses and Aaron,
Mas hubo algunos hombres que estaban inmundos a causa de un muerto, por lo cual no pudieron celebrar la Pascua en aquel día. Por eso presentándose aquel mismo día ante Moisés y Aarón,
7 Said to them: We are unclean by occasion of the soul of a man. Why are we kept back that we may not offer in its season the offering to the Lord among the children of Israel?
les dijeron: “Nosotros estamos inmundos a causa de un muerto, ¿por qué hemos de ser privados de presentar la oblación de Yahvé al tiempo señalado, en medio de los hijos de Israel?”
8 And Moses answered them: Stay that I may consult the Lord what he will ordain concerning you.
Les respondió Moisés: “Esperad para que yo sepa lo que Yahvé disponga acerca de vosotros.”
9 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
Entonces Yahvé habló a Moisés, diciendo:
10 Say to the children of Israel: The man that shall be unclean by occasion of one that is dead, or shall be in a journey afar off in your nation, let him make the phase to the Lord.
“Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: Si alguno de vosotros o de vuestros descendientes se hallare inmundo a causa de un muerto o ausente en algún viaje lejano, celebrará sin embargo la Pascua en honor de Yahvé.
11 In the second month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, they shall eat it with unleavened bread and wild lettuce:
La celebrará en el mes segundo, el día catorce del mes, entre las dos tardes; comiéndola con panes ácimos y con yerbas amargas.
12 They shall not leave any thing thereof until morning, a nor break a bone thereof, they shall observe all the ceremonies of the phase.
No dejará nada de ella para el día siguiente, ni le quebrará hueso. Conforme a todos los preceptos de la Pascua la celebrará.
13 But if any man is clean, and was not on a journey, and did not make the phase, that soul shall be cut off from among his people, because he offered not sacrifice to the Lord in due season: he shall bear his sin.
Si alguno hallándose limpio y no estando de viaje dejare de celebrar la Pascua, ese tal será extirpado de en medio de su pueblo, por no haber presentado la ofrenda de Yahvé al tiempo señalado; ese pagará su pecado.
14 The sojourner also and the stranger if they be among you, shall make the phase to the Lord according to the ceremonies and justifications thereof. The same ordinance shall be with you both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
Si un extranjero que habita entre vosotros quiere celebrar la Pascua de Yahvé, la celebrará según el reglamento de la Pascua y según el rito de la misma. Un mismo reglamento regirá para vosotros, tanto para el extranjero como para los de vuestro pueblo.”
15 Now on the day that the tabernacle was reared up, a cloud covered it. But from the evening there was over the tabernacle, as it were, the appearance of fire until the morning.
El día en que se erigió la Morada, la nube cubrió a esta, es decir, el Tabernáculo del Testimonio, apareciendo sobre la Morada como fuego, desde la tarde hasta la mañana.
16 So it was always: by day the cloud covered it, and by night as it were the appearance of fire.
Así sucedía siempre: (de día) la cubría la nube, y de noche algo que parecía fuego.
17 And when the cloud that covered the tabernacle was taken up, then the children of Israel marched forward: and in the place where the cloud stood still, there they camped.
Y cuando la nube se alzaba de sobre el Tabernáculo, los hijos de Israel se ponían en marcha, y en el sitio donde se paraba la nube, allí acampaban los hijos de Israel.
18 At the commandment of the Lord they marched, and at his commandment they pitched the tabernacle. All the days that the cloud abode over the tabernacle, they remained in the same place:
A la orden de Yahvé los israelitas se ponían en marcha, y a la orden de Yahvé acampaban, y quedaban acampados todo el tiempo que permanecía la nube sobre la Morada.
19 And if it was so that it continued over it a long time, the children of Israel kept the watches of the Lord, and marched not,
Aun cuando la nube se detenía muchos días sobre la Morada, los hijos de Israel observaban lo dispuesto por Yahvé y no levantaban el campamento.
20 For as many days soever as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle. At the commandment of the Lord they pitched their tents, and at his commandment they took them down.
Lo mismo hacían cuando la nube permanecía muy pocos días sobre la Morada. A la orden de Yahvé acampaban, y a la orden de Yahvé se ponían en marcha.
21 If the cloud tarried from evening until morning, and immediately at break of day left the tabernacle, they marched forward: and if it departed after a day and a night, they took down their tents.
Cuando la nube se paraba solo desde la tarde hasta la mañana, y se alzaba a la mañana, se ponían en marcha. O si se paraba un día y una noche y después se alzaba, también ellos emprendían a marcha.
22 But if it remained over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a longer time, the children of Israel remained in the same place, and marched not: but immediately as soon as it departed, they removed the camp.
Si la nube permanecía dos días, o un mes o un año sobre la Morada, mientras quedaba sobre ella continuaban acampados los hijos de Israel y no se movían; mas al alzarse la nube, se ponían en marcha.
23 By the word of the Lord they pitched their tents, and by his word they marched: and kept the watches of the Lord according to his commandment by the hand of Moses.
A la orden de Yahvé acampaban, y a la orden de Yahvé se ponían en marcha; guardando lo dispuesto por Yahvé, según la orden de Yahvé dada por medio de Moisés.
