Numbers 34
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
Yahvé habló a Moisés diciendo:
2 Command the children of Israel, and then shalt say to them: When you are entered into the land of Chanaan, and it shall be fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bounded by these limits:
“Manda a los hijos de Israel y diles: Entrado que hubiereis en la tierra de Canaán, esa tierra que os tocará en herencia, serán sus fronteras las siguientes:
3 The south side shall begin from the wilderness of Sin, which is by Edom: and shall have the most salt sea for its furthest limits eastward:
Vuestro lado meridional se extenderá desde el desierto de Sin a lo largo del costado de Edom. Por oriente vuestra frontera meridional arrancará desde el extremo del Mar Salado.
4 Which limits shall go round on the south side by the ascent of the Scorpion and so into Senna, and reach toward the south as far as Cadesbarne, from whence the frontiers shall go out to the town called Adar, and shall reach as far as Asemona.
Luego vuestra frontera torcerá al sur, por la subida de Acrabim y pasará adelante hacia Sin, hasta llegar al sur de Cadesbarnea. De allí irá a Hasaradar y seguirá hacia Asmón.
5 And the limits shall fetch a compass from Asemona to the torrent of Egypt, and shall end in the shore of the great sea.
Desde Asmón la frontera se inclinará hacia el arroyo de Egipto y llegará al Mar.
6 And the west side shall begin from the great sea, and the same shall be the end thereof.
Vuestra frontera occidental será el Mar grande. Este os servirá de frontera occidental.
7 But toward the north side the borders shall begin from the great sea, reaching to the most high mountain,
Vuestra frontera septentrional será esta: Desde el Mar grande la trazaréis hasta el monte Hor.
8 From which they shall come to Emath, as far as the borders of Sedada:
Desde el monte Hor la continuaréis hasta la entrada de Hamat, llegando hasta Sedad;
9 And the limits shall go as far as Zephrona, and the village of Enan. These shall be the borders on the north side.
seguirá hasta Sefrón, y terminará en Hasar-Enán. Esta será vuestra frontera septentrional.
10 From thence they shall mark out the bounds towards the east side from the village of Enan unto Sephama.
La frontera oriental os la trazaréis de Hasar-Enán hacia Sefam.
11 And from Sephama the bounds shall go down to Rebla over against the fountain of Daphnis: from thence they shall come eastward to the sea of Cenereth,
De Sefam bajará la frontera a Riblá, al oriente de Ayin, de donde descenderá y flanqueará el costado oriental del Mar de Kinéret.
12 And shall reach as far as the Jordan, and at the last shall be closed in by the most salt sea. This shall be your land with its borders round about.
Luego la frontera descenderá hasta el Jordán, y llegará hasta el Mar Salado. Esta será vuestra tierra y sus fronteras a la redonda.”
13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord hath commanded to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.
Moisés dio esta orden a los hijos de Israel: “Esta es la tierra que os repartiréis por suertes y que Yahvé mandó dar a las nueve tribus y a la media tribu (de Manasés);
14 For the tribe of the children of Ruben by their families, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the number of their kindreds, and half of the tribe of Manasses,
porque la tribu de los hijos de Rubén según sus casas paternas, y la tribu de los hijos de Gad, según sus casas paternas, y la media tribu de Manasés han recibido ya su porción.
15 That is, two tribes and a half, have received their portion beyond the Jordan over against Jericho at the east side.
Estas dos tribus y la media tribu recibieron su herencia en la otra ribera del Jordán, frente a Jericó, al oriente donde se levanta el sol.”
16 And the Lord said to Moses:
Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo:
17 These are the names of the men, that shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Josue the son of Nun,
“Estos son los nombres de los varones que os han de repartir la tierra: el sacerdote Eleazar y Josué, hijo de Nun.
18 And one prince of every tribe,
Tomaréis también un príncipe de cada tribu para repartir la tierra.
19 Whose names are these: Of the tribe of Juda, Caleb the son of Jephone.
He aquí los nombres de los varones: De la tribu de Judá, Caleb, hijo de Jefone;
20 Of the tribe of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammiud.
de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón, Samuel, hijo de Amiud;
21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chaselon.
de la tribu de Benjamín, Eliad, hijo de Caselón;
22 Of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bocci the son of Jogli.
de la tribu de los hijos de Dan, el príncipe Buquí, hijo de Joglí;
23 Of the children of Joseph of the tribe of Manasses, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
de los hijos de José, por la tribu de los hijos de Manasés, el príncipe Haniel, hijo de Efod;
24 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Camuel the son of Sephtan.
de la tribu de los hijos de Efraím, el príncipe Camuel, hijo de Siftán;
25 Of the tribe of Zabulon, Elisaphan the son of Pharnach.
de la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón, el príncipe Elisafán, hijo de Farnac;
26 Of the tribe of Issachar, Phaltiel the prince, the son of Ozan.
de la tribu de los hijos de Isacar, el príncipe Faltiel, hijo de Asan;
27 Of the tribe of Aser, Ahiud the son of Salomi.
de la tribu de los hijos de Aser, el príncipe Ahiud, hijo de Selomí.
28 Of the tribe of Nephtali: Phedael the son of Ammiud.
De la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí, el príncipe Fadael, hijo de Amiud.”
29 These are they whom the Lord hath commanded to divide the land of Chanaan to the children of Israel.
Estos son aquellos a quienes Yahvé mandó que repartieran la tierra de Canaán entre los hijos de Israel.
