Numbers 31
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
Nakig-istorya si Yahweh kang Moises ug miingon,
2 Revenge first the children of Israel on the Madianites, and so thou shalt be gathered to thy people.
“Panimasli ang mga Midianhon tungod sa ilang gibuhat sa mga Israelita. Human niana, mamatay ka na ug motipon sa imong katawhan.”
3 And Moses forthwith said: Arm of you men to fight, who may take the revenge of the Lord on the Madianites.
Busa giingnan ni Moises ang katawhan. “Paandama ang pipila sa inyong kalalakin-an alang sa pakiggubat batok sa mga Midianhon ug dalha ang pagpanimalos ni Yahweh kanila.
4 Let a thousand men be chosen out of every tribe of Israel to be sent to the war.
Ang matag banay sa Israel kinahanglan magpadala og usa ka libo nga mga sundalo alang sa gubat.”
5 And they gave a thousand of every tribe, that is to say, twelve thousand men well appointed for battle.
Busa gawas sa liniboan kalibo ka mga lalaki sa Israel, ang matag banay nagpadala og 1, 000 alang sa gubat, 12, 000 tanan ang mga lalaki.
6 And Moses sent them with Phinees the son of Eleazar the priest, and he delivered to him the holy vessels, and the trumpets to sound.
Unya gipadala sila ni Moises alang sa gubat, 1000 sa matag banay, uban kang Finehas nga anak ni Eleazar nga pari, uban ang pipila ka butang nga gikan sa balaang dapit ug ang trumpeta nga anaa kaniya aron patingogon ingon nga timaan.
7 And when they had fought against the Madianites and had overcome them, they slew all the men.
Nagkig-away sila sa mga Midianhon, sumala sa gisugo ni Yahweh kang Moises. Gipangpatay nila ang matag kalalakin-an.
8 And their kings Evi, and Recem, and Sur, and Hur, and Rebe, five princes of the nation: Balaam also the son of Beer they killed with the sword.
Gipamatay nila ang mga hari sa Midian uban sa ilang mga patay: Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, ug Reba, ang lima ka hari sa Midian. Ila usab nga gipatay si Balaam nga anak ni Beor, gamit ang espada.
9 And they took their women, and their children captives, and all their cattle, and all their goods: and all their possessions they plundered:
Gibihag sa kasundalohan sa mga Israelita ang mga babaye sa Midian, ang ilang mga anak, ang tanan nilang mga baka, ang tanan nilang mga karnero, ug ang tanan nilang kabtangan. Gidala nila kini ingon nga inilog.
10 And all their cities, and their villages, and castles, they burned.
Gipangsunog nila ang tanang mga siyudad ug ang tanan nilang mga kampo diin sila nagpuyo.
11 And they carried away the booty, and all that they had taken both of men and of beasts.
Gidala nila ang tanan nilang inilog ug mga binilanggo, mga katawhan ug kahayopan.
12 And they brought them to Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and to all the multitude of the children of Israel. But the rest of the things for use they carried to the camp on the plains of Moab, beside the Jordan over against Jericho.
Gidala usab nila ang mga binilanggo, ang mga inilog nga mga butang ngadto kang Moises, kang Eleazar nga pari, ug ngadto sa katilingban sa Israel. Gidala nila kini ngadto sa kampo diha sa patag sa Moab, sa dapit sa Jordan duol sa Jerico.
13 And Moses and Eleazar the priest and all the princes of the synagogue went forth to meet them without the camp.
Si Moises, si Eleazar ang pari, ug ang tanang mga pangulo sa katilingban miadto sa gawas sa kampo aron pasugat kanila.
14 And Moses being angry with the chief officers of the army, the tribunes, and the centurions that were come from the battle,
Apan nasuko si Moises sa mga opisyal sa kasundalohan, sa mga pangulo sa liboan ug mga kapitan sa gatosan, nga miabot gikan sa gubat.
15 Said: Why have you saved the women?
Miingon si Moises kanila, “Gitugotan ba ninyo nga mabuhi ang mga kababayen-an?
16 Are not these they, that deceived the children of Israel by the counsel of Balaam, and made you transgress against the Lord by the sin of Phogor, for which also the people was punished?
Tan-awa, kining mga bayhana mao ang makaangin sa katawhan sa Israel, sumala sa mga tambag ni Balaam, nga nakasala kang Yahweh didto sa Peor, sa dihang ang katalagman miabot sa katawhan ni Yahweh.
17 Therefore kill all that are of the male sex, even of the children: and put to death the women, that have carnally known men.
Karon dayon, patya ninyo ang matag kabataan nga lalaki, ug patya ang tanang babaye nga nakadulog na ug lalaki.
18 But the girls, and all the women that are virgins save for yourselves:
Apan dalha ninyo ang tanang batan-ong babaye nga wala pa sukad makadulog og lalaki.
19 And stay without the camp seven days. He that hath killed a man, or touched one that is killed, shall be purified the third day and the seventh day.
Kinahanglan kamong magkampo sa gawas sa Israel sulod sa pito ka adlaw. Kamong tanan nga nakapatay o nakahikap og bisan unsang patayng tawo—kinahanglan ninyong hinloan ang iyong mga kaugalingon sa ikatulo nga adlaw ug sa ikapito nga adlaw—kamo ug ang inyong mga binilanggo.
20 And of all the spoil, every garment, or vessel, or any thing made for use, of the skins, or hair of goats, or of wood, shall be purified.
Ug hinloi ang iyong matag bisti, ang tanan nga hinimo gikan sa panit sa mananap ug sa balhibo sa mga kanding, ug ang tanang hinimo gikan sa kahoy.”
21 Eleazar also the priest spoke to the men of the army, that had fought, in this manner: This is the ordinance of the law, which the Lord hath commanded Moses:
Miingon si Eleazar ang pangulong pari ngadto sa kasundalohan nga miadto sa gubat, “Mao kini ang gipakanaog nga balaod nga gihatag ni Yahweh kang Moises:
22 Gold, and silver, and brass, and iron, and lend, and tin,
Ang bulawan, plata, bronsi, bakal, aloy ug tingga,
23 And all that may pass through the fire, shall be purified by fire, but whatsoever cannot abide the fire, shall be sanctified with the water of expiation:
ug ang tanan nga dili masunog sa kalayo, kinahanglan nga ibutang ninyo kini agi sa kalayo, ug mahinlo na kini. Kinahanglan ninyong hinloan kadtong mga butanga pinaagi sa tubig nga panghinlo. Bisan unsang dili maagi sa kalayo kinahanglan ninyong hinloan pinaagig tubig.
24 And you shall wash your garments the seventh day, and being purified, you shall afterwards enter into the camp.
Ug kinahanglan ninyong labhan ang inyong mga bisti sa ikapitong adlaw, ug unya mahinlo na kamo. Human niana makasulod na kamo sa kampo sa mga Israelita.”
25 And the Lord said to Moses:
Unya nakig-istorya si Yahweh kang Moises ug miingon,
26 Take the sum of the things that were taken both of man and beast, thou and Eleazar the priest and the princes of the multitude:
“Ipha ang tanang inilog nga mga butang nga ilang gidala, apil ang tawo ug kahayopan. Ikaw, si Eleazar nga pari, ug ang mga pangulo sa matag banay sa katilingban
27 And thou shalt divide the spoil equally, between them that fought and went out to the war, and between the rest of the multitude.
kinahanglan nga magbahin sa inilog ngadto sa duha ka bahin. Bahina taliwala sa kasundalohan nga miadto sa gubat ug sa tanang katawhan sa katilingban.
28 And thou shalt separate a portion to the Lord from them that fought and were in the battle, one soul of five hundred as well of persons as of oxen and asses and sheep.
Unya kuhaa ang buhis aron ihatag kanako gikan sa mga kasundalohan nga miadto sa gubat. Kini nga buhis kinahanglan usa gikan sa matag 500, bisan pa og mga tawo, baka, asno, karnero, o kanding.
29 And thou shalt give it to Eleazar the priest, because they are the firstfruits of the Lord.
Kuhaa kini nga buhis gikan sa ilang bahin ug ihatag ngadto kang Eleazar nga pari aron ihalad kanako.
30 Out of the moiety also of the children of Israel thou shalt take the fiftieth head of persons, and of oxen, and asses, and sheep, and of all beasts, and thou shalt give them to the Levites that watch in the charge of the tabernacle of the Lord.
Ug usab gikan sa katunga nga bahin sa katawhan sa Israel, kinahanglan kuhaon nimo ang usa sa matag 50—sa tawo, baka, asno, karnero, ug kanding. Ihatag kini ngadto sa mga Levita nga nag-atiman sa akong tabernakulo.”
31 And Moses and Eleazar did as the Lord had commanded.
Busa si Moises ug si Eleazar nga pari mibuhat sumala sa gisugo ni Yahweh kang Moises.
32 And the spoil which the army had taken, was six hundred seventy-five thousand sheep,
Karon ang mga inilog nga nabilin gikan sa naangkon sa mga sundalo mao ang 675, 000 ka mga karnero,
33 Seventy-two thousand oxen,
72, 000 ka mga baka,
34 Sixty-one thousand asses:
61, 000 ka mga asno,
35 And thirty-two thousand persons of the female sex, that had not known men.
ug 32, 000 ka mga babaye nga wala pa makadulog og bisan kinsang lalaki.
36 And one half was given to them that had been in the battle, to wit, three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep:
Ug ang katunga nga gitipigan alang sa mga sundalo may gidaghanon nga 337, 000 ka mga karnero.
37 Out of which, for the portion of the Lord, were reckoned six hundred seventy-five sheep.
Ug 675 ka mga karnero ang bahin ni Yahweh.
38 And out of the thirty-six thousand oxen, seventy-two oxen:
Ang mga baka kay 36, 000 ug ang bahin ni Yahweh 72 ka mga baka.
39 Out of the thirty thousand five hundred asses, sixty-one asses:
Ang mga asno mikabat og 30, 500 ug gikan niana ang bahin ni Yahweh 61.
40 Out of the sixteen thousand persons, there fell to the portion of the Lord, thirty-two souls.
Ang katawhan mikabat og 16, 000 ka mga babaye og ang bahin ni Yahweh 32.
41 And Moses delivered the number of the firstfruits of the Lord to Eleazar the priest, as had been commanded him,
Gikuha ni Moises ang buhis nga alang sa paghalad nga ihatag ngadto kang Yahweh. Gihatag niya kini kang Eleazar nga pari, sumala sa gisugo ni Yahweh kang Moises.
42 Out of the half of the children of Israel, which he had separated for them that had been in the battle.
Ug ang katunga nga alang sa katawhan sa Israel nga gikuha ni Moises gikan sa mga sundalo nga miadto sa gubat-
43 But out of the half that fell to the rest of the multitude, that is to say, out of the three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,
ang katunga sa katilingban mikabat og 337, 500 ka mga karnero,
44 And out of the thirty-six thousand oxen,
36, 000 ka mga baka,
45 And out of the thirty thousand five hundred asses,
30, 500 ka mga asno,
46 And out of the sixteen thousand persons,
16, 000 ka mga babaye.
47 Moses took the fiftieth head, and gave it to the Levites that watched in the tabernacle of the Lord, as the Lord had commanded.
Katunga gikan sa bahin sa katawhan sa Israel, mikuha si Moises og usa sa matag 50, gikan sa mga tawo ug mga hayop. Gihatag niya kini ngadto sa mga Levita nga nag-atiman sa tabernakulo, sumala sa gisugo ni Yahweh kaniya nga pagabuhaton.
48 And when the commanders of the army, and the tribunes and centurions were come to Moses, they said:
Unya ang mga opisyales sa kasundalohan, ang mga pangulo sa linibohan nga kasundalohan ug ang kapitan sa matag gatosan ka mga sundalo, miadto kang Moises.
49 We thy servants have reckoned up the number of the fighting men, whom we had under our hand, and not so much as one was wanting.
Miingon sila kaniya, “Kaming imong mga sulugoon miihap sa kasundalohan nga nailalom sa among pagdumala, walay nawala kanila bisan isa.
50 Therefore we offer as gifts to the Lord what gold every one of us could find in the booty, in garters and tablets, rings and bracelets, and chains, that thou mayst pray to the Lord for us.
Dala namo ang mga halad alang kang Yahweh, nga nakita sa matag tawo, mga butang nga bulawan, mga pulseras sa kamot ug bukton, pangselyo nga mga singsing, ariyos, ug kwentas, aron pasayloon kami ni Yahweh.”
51 And Moses and Eleazar the priest received all the gold in divers kinds,
Si Moises ug si Eleazar nga pari midawat sa mga bulawan ug sa tanang butang nga hinulma sa tawo gikan kanila.
52 In weight sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty sicles, from the tribunes and from the centurions.
Ang tanang bulawan nga ilang gihatag kang Yahweh—ang mga halad nga gikan sa mga pangulo sa liniboan ug gikan sa kapitan sa ginatos ka sundalo—mitimbang og 16, 750 ka shekels.
53 For that which every one had taken in the booty was his own.
Ang matag sundalo nakabaton og inilog, ang matag tawo alang sa iyang kaugalingon.
54 And that which was received they brought into the tabernacle of the testimony, for a memorial of the children of Israel before the Lord.
Si Moises ug Eleazar nga pari mikuha sa bulawan gikan sa mga pangulo sa liniboan ug sa kapitan sa gatosan ka mga sundalo. Gidala nila kini ngadto sa tolda nga tagboanan ingon nga pahinumdom sa katawhan sa Israel ngadto kang Yahweh.
