And all his children being gathered together to comfort their father in his sorrow, he would not receive comfort, but said: I will go down to my son into hell, mourning. And whilst he continued weeping, (Sheol )

The four and twenty ancients fell down before him that sitteth on the throne, and adored him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: (aiōn )
tē caturviṁśatiprācīnā api tasya siṁhāsanōpaviṣṭasyāntikē praṇinatya tam anantajīvinaṁ praṇamanti svīyakirīṭāṁśca siṁhāsanasyāntikē nikṣipya vadanti, (aiōn )
And every creature, which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them: I heard all saying: To him that sitteth on the throne, and to the Lamb, benediction, and honour, and glory, and power, for ever and ever. (aiōn )
aparaṁ svargamarttyapātālasāgarēṣu yāni vidyantē tēṣāṁ sarvvēṣāṁ sr̥ṣṭavastūnāṁ vāgiyaṁ mayā śrutā, praśaṁsāṁ gauravaṁ śauryyam ādhipatyaṁ sanātanaṁ| siṁhasanōpaviṣṭaśca mēṣavatsaśca gacchatāṁ| (aiōn )
And behold a pale horse, and he that sat upon him, his name was Death, and hell followed him. And power was given to him over the four parts of the earth, to kill with sword, with famine, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. (Hadēs )
tataḥ pāṇḍuravarṇa ēkō 'śvō mayā dr̥ṣṭaḥ, tadārōhiṇō nāma mr̥tyuriti paralōkaśca tam anucarati khaṅgēna durbhikṣēṇa mahāmāryyā vanyapaśubhiśca lōkānāṁ badhāya pr̥thivyāścaturthāṁśasyādhipatyaṁ tasmā adāyi| (Hadēs )
Saying: Amen. Benediction, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, honour, and power, and strength to our God for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
tathāstu dhanyavādaśca tējō jñānaṁ praśaṁsanaṁ| śauryyaṁ parākramaścāpi śaktiśca sarvvamēva tat| varttatāmīśvarē'smākaṁ nityaṁ nityaṁ tathāstviti| (aiōn )
And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven upon the earth, and there was given to him the key of the bottomless pit. (Abyssos )
tataḥ paraṁ saptamadūtēna tūryyāṁ vāditāyāṁ gaganāt pr̥thivyāṁ nipatita ēkastārakō mayā dr̥ṣṭaḥ, tasmai rasātalakūpasya kuñjikādāyi| (Abyssos )
And he opened the bottomless pit: and the smoke of the pit arose, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos )
tēna rasātalakūpē muktē mahāgnikuṇḍasya dhūma iva dhūmastasmāt kūpād udgataḥ| tasmāt kūpadhūmāt sūryyākāśau timirāvr̥tau| (Abyssos )
A king, the angel of the bottomless pit; whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek Apollyon; in Latin Exterminans, (Abyssos )
tēṣāṁ rājā ca rasātalasya dūtastasya nāma ibrīyabhāṣayā abaddōn yūnānīyabhāṣayā ca apalluyōn arthatō vināśaka iti| (Abyssos )
And he swore by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things which are therein; and the earth, and the things which are in it; and the sea, and the things which are therein: That time shall be no longer. (aiōn )
aparaṁ svargād yasya ravō mayāśrāvi sa puna rmāṁ sambhāvyāvadat tvaṁ gatvā samudramēdinyōstiṣṭhatō dūtasya karāt taṁ vistīrṇa kṣudragranthaṁ gr̥hāṇa, tēna mayā dūtasamīpaṁ gatvā kathitaṁ granthō 'sau dīyatāṁ| (aiōn )
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast, that ascendeth out of the abyss, shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos )
aparaṁ tayōḥ sākṣyē samāptē sati rasātalād yēnōtthitavyaṁ sa paśustābhyāṁ saha yuddhvā tau jēṣyati haniṣyati ca| (Abyssos )
And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet: and there were great voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of this world is become our Lord’s and his Christ’s, and he shall reign for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
anantaraṁ saptadūtēna tūryyāṁ vāditāyāṁ svarga uccaiḥ svarairvāgiyaṁ kīrttitā, rājatvaṁ jagatō yadyad rājyaṁ tadadhunābhavat| asmatprabhōstadīyābhiṣiktasya tārakasya ca| tēna cānantakālīyaṁ rājatvaṁ prakariṣyatē|| (aiōn )
And I saw another angel flying through the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel, to preach unto them that sit upon the earth, and over every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people: (aiōnios )
anantaram ākāśamadhyēnōḍḍīyamānō 'para ēkō dūtō mayā dr̥ṣṭaḥ sō 'nantakālīyaṁ susaṁvādaṁ dhārayati sa ca susaṁvādaḥ sarvvajātīyān sarvvavaṁśīyān sarvvabhāṣāvādinaḥ sarvvadēśīyāṁśca pr̥thivīnivāsinaḥ prati tēna ghōṣitavyaḥ| (aiōnios )
And the smoke of their torments shall ascend up for ever and ever: neither have they rest day nor night, who have adored the beast, and his image, and whoever receiveth the character of his name. (aiōn )
tēṣāṁ yātanāyā dhūmō 'nantakālaṁ yāvad udgamiṣyati yē ca paśuṁ tasya pratimāñca pūjayanti tasya nāmnō 'ṅkaṁ vā gr̥hlanti tē divāniśaṁ kañcana virāmaṁ na prāpsyanti| (aiōn )
And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden vials, full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. (aiōn )
aparaṁ caturṇāṁ prāṇinām ēkastēbhyaḥ saptadūtēbhyaḥ saptasuvarṇakaṁsān adadāt| (aiōn )
The beast, which thou sawest, was, and is not, and shall come up out of the bottomless pit, and go into destruction: and the inhabitants on the earth (whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world) shall wonder, seeing the beast that was, and is not. (Abyssos )
tvayā dr̥ṣṭō 'sau paśurāsīt nēdānīṁ varttatē kintu rasātalāt tēnōdētavyaṁ vināśaśca gantavyaḥ| tatō yēṣāṁ nāmāni jagataḥ sr̥ṣṭikālam ārabhya jīvanapustakē likhitāni na vidyantē tē pr̥thivīnivāsinō bhūtam avarttamānamupasthāsyantañca taṁ paśuṁ dr̥ṣṭvāścaryyaṁ maṁsyantē| (Abyssos )
And again they said: Alleluia. And her smoke ascendeth for ever and ever. (aiōn )
punarapi tairidamuktaṁ yathā, brūta parēśvaraṁ dhanyaṁ yannityaṁ nityamēva ca| tasyā dāhasya dhūmō 'sau diśamūrddhvamudēṣyati|| (aiōn )
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, who wrought signs before him, wherewith he seduced them who received the character of the beast, and who adored his image. These two were cast alive into the pool of fire, burning with brimstone. (Limnē Pyr )
tataḥ sa paśu rdhr̥tō yaśca mithyābhaviṣyadvaktā tasyāntikē citrakarmmāṇi kurvvan tairēva paśvaṅkadhāriṇastatpratimāpūjakāṁśca bhramitavān sō 'pi tēna sārddhaṁ dhr̥taḥ| tau ca vahnigandhakajvalitahradē jīvantau nikṣiptau| (Limnē Pyr )
And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos )
tataḥ paraṁ svargād avarōhan ēkō dūtō mayā dr̥ṣṭastasya karē ramātalasya kuñjikā mahāśr̥ṅkhalañcaikaṁ tiṣṭhataḥ| (Abyssos )
And he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should no more seduce the nations, till the thousand years be finished. And after that, he must be loosed a little time. (Abyssos )
aparaṁ rasātalē taṁ nikṣipya tadupari dvāraṁ ruddhvā mudrāṅkitavān yasmāt tad varṣasahasraṁ yāvat sampūrṇaṁ na bhavēt tāvad bhinnajātīyāstēna puna rna bhramitavyāḥ| tataḥ param alpakālārthaṁ tasya mōcanēna bhavitavyaṁ| (Abyssos )
and the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and brimstone, where both the beast and the false prophet shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
tēṣāṁ bhramayitā ca śayatānō vahnigandhakayō rhradē 'rthataḥ paśu rmithyābhaviṣyadvādī ca yatra tiṣṭhatastatraiva nikṣiptaḥ, tatrānantakālaṁ yāvat tē divāniśaṁ yātanāṁ bhōkṣyantē| (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and hell gave up their dead that were in them; and they were judged every one according to their works. (Hadēs )
tadānīṁ samudrēṇa svāntarasthā mr̥tajanāḥ samarpitāḥ, mr̥tyuparalōkābhyāmapi svāntarasthā mr̥tajanāḥ sarmipatāḥ, tēṣāñcaikaikasya svakriyānuyāyī vicāraḥ kr̥taḥ| (Hadēs )
And hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death. (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr )

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the pool of fire. (Limnē Pyr )

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, they shall have their portion in the pool burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Limnē Pyr )
kintu bhītānām aviśvāsināṁ ghr̥ṇyānāṁ narahantr̥ṇāṁ vēśyāgāmināṁ mōhakānāṁ dēvapūjakānāṁ sarvvēṣām anr̥tavādināñcāṁśō vahnigandhakajvalitahradē bhaviṣyati, ēṣa ēva dvitīyō mr̥tyuḥ| (Limnē Pyr )
And night shall be no more: and they shall not need the light of the lamp, nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall enlighten them, and they shall reign for ever and ever. (aiōn )
tadānīṁ rātriḥ puna rna bhaviṣyati yataḥ prabhuḥ paramēśvarastān dīpayiṣyati tē cānantakālaṁ yāvad rājatvaṁ kariṣyantē| (aiōn )
Unless the Lord had been my helper, my soul had almost dwelt in hell. ()
The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord: nor any of them that go down to hell. ()
And hath forgotten the covenant of her God: for her house inclineth unto death, and her paths to hell. ()
This is a very great evil among all things that are done under the sun, that the same things happen to all men: whereby also the hearts of the children of men are filled with evil, and with contempt while they live, and afterwards they shall be brought down to hell. ()
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it. ()
