Nehemiah 3

1 Then Eliasib the high priest arose, and his brethren the priests, and they built the flock gate: they sanctified it, and set up the doors thereof, even unto the tower of a hundred cubits they sanctified it unto the tower of Hananeel.

Alors Eliashib, le grand prêtre, se leva avec ses frères les prêtres, et ils construisirent la porte des brebis. Ils la sanctifièrent et en posèrent les portes. Ils la sanctifièrent jusqu'à la tour de Hammea, jusqu'à la tour de Hananel.

2 And next to him the men of Jericho built: and next to them built Zachur the son of Amri.

A côté de lui, les hommes de Jéricho bâtirent. A côté d'eux, Zaccur, fils d'Imri, bâtit.

3 But the fish gate the sons of Asnaa built: they covered it, and set up the doors thereof, and tire locks, and the bars. And next to them built Marimuth the son of Urias the son of Accus.

Les fils de Hasséna construisirent la porte des poissons. Ils posèrent ses poutres, ses portes, ses verrous et ses barres.

4 And next to him built Mosollam tile son of Barachias, the sell of Merezebel, and next to them built Sadoc the son of Baana.

A côté d'eux, Meremoth, fils d'Urie, fils de Hakkoz, fit des réparations. A côté d'eux, Meshullam, fils de Bérékia, fils de Meshezabel, fit des réparations. A côté d'eux, Zadok, fils de Baana, répara.

5 And next to them the Thecuites built: but their great men did not put their necks to the work of their Lord.

A côté d'eux, les Tekoïtes réparaient; mais leurs nobles ne mettaient pas leur cou à l'ouvrage du Seigneur.

6 And Joiada the son of Phasea, and Mosollam the son of Besodia built the old gate: they covered it and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars.

Joiada, fils de Paseah, et Meshullam, fils de Besodeiah, réparèrent la vieille porte. Ils en posèrent les poutres et en placèrent les portes, les verrous et les barres.

7 And next to them built Meltias the Gabaonite, and Jadon the Meronathite, the men of Gabaon and Maspha, for the governor that was in the country beyond the river.

A côté d'eux, Melatia, le Gibéonite, et Jadon, le Méronothite, hommes de Gibéon et de Mitspa, réparèrent la résidence du gouverneur au-delà du fleuve.

8 And next to him built Eziel the son of Araia the goldsmith: and next to him built Ananias the son of the perfumer: and they left Jerusalem unto the wall of the broad street.

A côté de lui, Uzziel, fils de Harhaïa, orfèvres, effectuèrent des réparations. A côté de lui, Hanania, l'un des parfumeurs, fit des réparations, et ils fortifièrent Jérusalem jusqu'à la grande muraille.

9 And next to him built Raphaia the son of Hur, lord of the street of Jerusalem.

A côté d'eux, Rephaïa, fils de Hur, chef de la moitié du district de Jérusalem, fit des réparations.

10 And next to him Jedaia the son of Haromaph over against his own house: and next to him built Hattus the son of Hasebonia.

A côté d'eux, Jedaiah, fils de Harumaph, fit des réparations en face de sa maison. A côté de lui, Hattush, fils d'Hashabneia, répara.

11 Melchias the son of Herem, and Hasub the son of Phahath Moab, built half the street, and the tower of the furnaces.

Malkija, fils de Harim, et Hasshub, fils de Pahathmoab, réparèrent une autre partie et la tour des fours.

12 And next to him built Sellum the son of Alohes, lord of half the street of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

A côté de lui, Shallum, fils de Hallohesh, chef de la moitié du district de Jérusalem, et ses filles réparèrent.

13 And the gate of the valley Hanun built, and the inhabitants of Zanoe: they built it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars, and a thousand cubits in the wall unto the gate of the dunghill.

Hanun et les habitants de Zanoa réparèrent la porte de la vallée. Ils la construisirent et mirent en place ses portes, ses verrous et ses barres, ainsi que mille coudées de mur jusqu'à la porte du fumier.

14 And the gate of the dunghill Melchias the son of Rechab built, lord of the street of Bethacharam: he built it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars.

Malkija, fils de Rechab, chef du district de Beth Haccherem, répara la porte des fumiers. Il l'a construite et a mis en place ses portes, ses verrous et ses barres.

15 And the gate of the fountain Sellum the son of Cholhoza built, lord of the street of Maspha: he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bare, and the walls of the pool of Siloe unto the king’s guard, and unto the steps that go down from the city of David.

Shallun, fils de Colhozeh, chef du district de Mitspa, répara la porte de la source. Il la construisit, la couvrit et en posa les portes, les verrous et les barres. Il répara aussi le mur de l'étang de Shéla, près du jardin du roi, jusqu'à l'escalier qui descend de la cité de David.

16 After him built Nehemias the son of Azboc, lord of half the street of Bethsur, as far as over against the sepulchre of David, and to the pool, that was built with great labour, and to the house of the mighty.

Après lui, Néhémie, fils d'Azbuk, chef de la moitié du district de Beth Tsur, répara le lieu situé en face des tombeaux de David, l'étang qui avait été construit et la maison des héros.

17 After him built the Levites, Rehum the son of Benni. After him built Hasebias, lord of half the street of Ceila in his own street.

Après lui, les Lévites - Rehum, fils de Bani - firent des réparations. A côté de lui, Haschabia, chef de la moitié du district de Keïla, fit des réparations pour son district.

18 After him built their brethren Bavai the son of Enadad, lord of half Ceila.

20 After him in the mount Baruch the son of Zachai built another measure, from the corner to the door of the house of Eliasib the high priest.

Après lui, Baruch, fils de Zabbai, répara avec ardeur une autre portion, depuis le tournant du mur jusqu'à la porte de la maison du grand prêtre Eliashib.

21 After him Merimuth the son of Urias the son of Haccus, built another measure, from the door of the house of Eliasib, to the end of the house of Eliasib.

Après lui, Merémoth, fils d'Urie, fils de Hakkoz, répara une autre portion, depuis la porte de la maison d'Éliaschib jusqu'à l'extrémité de la maison d'Éliaschib.

22 And after him built the priests, the men of the plains of the Jordan.

Après lui, les prêtres, les hommes des environs firent des réparations.

23 After him built Benjamin and Hasub, over against their own house: and after him built Azarias the son of Maasias the son of Ananias over against his house.

Après eux, Benjamin et Hasshub firent des réparations en face de leur maison. Après eux, Azaria, fils de Maaséja, fils d'Anania, répara à côté de sa maison.

24 After him built Bennui the son of Hanadad another measure, from the house of Azarias unto the bending, and unto the corner.

Après lui, Binnui, fils de Hénadad, répara une autre portion, depuis la maison d'Azaria jusqu'au tournant du mur et jusqu'à l'angle.

25 Phalel, the son of Ozi, over against the bending and the tower, which lieth out from the king’s high house, that is, in the court of the prison: after him Phadaia the son of Pharos.

Palal, fils d'Uzai, répara l'angle de la muraille et la tour qui s'élève de la maison haute du roi, près de la cour des gardes. Après lui, Pedaja, fils de Parosh, fit des réparations.

26 And the Nathinites dwelt in Ophel, as far as over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that stood out.

(Les serviteurs du temple habitaient à Ophel, à l'endroit situé en face de la porte des eaux, vers l'est, et de la tour qui se dresse).

27 After him the Thecuites built another measure over against, from the great tower that standeth out unto the wall of the temple.

Après lui, les Tekoïtes réparèrent une autre partie, en face de la grande tour qui se dresse, et jusqu'au mur d'Ophel.

28 And upward from the horse gate the priests built, every man over against his house.

Au-dessus de la porte des chevaux, les sacrificateurs réparaient, chacun en face de sa maison.

29 After them built Sadoc the son of Emmer over against his house. And after him built Semaia the son of Sechenias, keeper of the east gate.

Après eux, Zadok, fils d'Immer, réparait en face de sa maison. Après lui, Shemaya, fils de Shecania, gardien de la porte orientale, fit des réparations.

30 After him built Hanania the son of Selemia, and Hanun the sixth son of Seleph, another measure: after him built Mosollam the son of Barachias over against his treasury.

Après lui, Hanania, fils de Shemiah, et Hanun, sixième fils de Zalaph, réparèrent une autre portion. Après lui, Meshullam, fils de Bérékia, répara la partie située en face de sa chambre.

31 After him Melcias the goldsmith’s son built unto the house of the Nathinites, and of the sellers of small wares, over against the judgment gate, and unto the chamber of the corner.

Après lui, Malkija, l'un des orfèvres de la maison des serviteurs du temple et des marchands, répara en face de la porte d'Hammiphkad et jusqu'à la montée de l'angle.

32 And within the chamber of the corner of the dock gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants built.

Entre la montée de l'angle et la porte des brebis, les orfèvres et les marchands firent des réparations.
