Nehemiah 12

1 Now these are the priests and the Levites, that went up with Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, and Josue: Saraia, Jeremias, Esdras,

این است اسامی کاهنان و لاویانی که همراه زروبابِل (پسر شئلتیئیل) و یِشوعَ به اورشلیم آمدند:

2 Amaria, Melluch, Hattus,

از کاهنان: سرایا، ارمیا، عِزرا، امریا، ملوک، حطوش، شکنیا، رحوم، مریموت، عدو، جنتوی، ابیا، میامین، معدیا، بلجه، شمعیا، یویاریب، یدعیا، سلو، عاموق، حلقیا، یدعیا. این افراد در زمان یِشوعَ از رهبران کاهنان بودند.

3 Sebenias, Rheum, Merimuth,

4 Addo, Genthon, Abia,

5 Miamin, Madia, Belga,

6 Semeia, and Joiarib, Idaia, Sellum, Amoc, Helcias,

7 Idaia. These were the chief of the priests, and of their brethren in the days of Josue.

8 And the Levites, Jesua, Bennui, Cedmihel, Sarebia, Juda, Mathanias, they and their brethren were over the hymns:

از لاویان: این لاویان دستهٔ اول سرایندگان را رهبری می‌کردند: یشوع، بنوی، قدمی‌ئیل، شربیا، یهودا، متنیا.

9 And Becbecia, and Hanni, and their brethren every one in his office.

بقبقیا، عنی و همراهان آنها نیز دسته دوم را رهبری می‌نمودند.

10 And Josue beget Joacim, and Joacim beget Eliasib, and Eliasib beget Joiada,

یِوشوعَ پدر یویاقیم، یویاقیم پدر الیاشیب، الیاشیب پدر یویاداع، یویاداع پدر یوناتان، یوناتان پدر یدوع بود.

11 And Joiada beget Jonathan, and Jonathan beget Jeddoa.

12 And in the days of Joacim the priests and heads of the families were: Of Saraia, Maraia: of Jeremias, Hanania:

اینها سران طایفه‌های کاهنان بودند که در زمان یویاقیم، کاهن اعظم خدمت می‌کردند: کاهن طایفه مرایا سرایا حننیا ارمیا مشلام عِزرا یهوحانان امریا یوناتان ملوک یوسف شبنیا عدنا حاریم حلقای مرایوت زکریا عدو مشلام جنتون زکری ابیا فلطای منیامین شموع بلجه یهوناتان شمعیا متنای یویاریب عزی یدعیا قلای سلای عابر عاموق حشبیا حلقیا نتن‌ئیل یدعیا

13 Of Esdras, Mosollam: and of Amaria, Johanan:

14 Of Milicho, Jonathan: of Sebenia, Joseph:

15 Of Haram, Edna: of Maraioth, Helci:

16 Of Adaia, Zacharia: of Genthon, Mosollam:

17 Of Abia, Zechri: of Miamin and Moadia, Phelti:

18 Of Belga, Sammua of Semaia, Jonathan:

19 Of Joiarib, Mathanai: of Jodaia, Azzi:

20 Of Sellai, Celai: of Amoc, Heber:

21 Of Helcias, Hasebia: of Idaia, Nathanael.

22 The Levites the chiefs of the families in the days of Eliasib, and Joiada, and Johanan, and Jeddoa, were recorded, and the priests in the reign of Darius the Persian.

نسب نامهٔ سران طایفه‌های کاهنان و لاویان در ایام الیاشیب، یهویاداع، یوحانان و یدوع که همزمان با سلطنت داریوش پادشاه پارس بود، ثبت گردید.

23 The sons of Levi, heads of the families were written in the book of Chronicles, even unto the days of Jonathan the son of Eliasib.

البته اسامی سران لاویان تا زمان یوحانان پسر الیاشیب در دفاتر رسمی ثبت شد.

24 Now the chief of the Levites were Hasebia, Serebia, and Josue the son of Cedmihel: and their brethren by their courses, to praise and to give thanks according to the commandment of David the man of God, and to wait equally in order.

لاویان به سرپرستی حشبیا، شربیا و یشوع (پسر قدمی‌ئیل) و همراهان ایشان به چند دسته تقسیم می‌شدند و مطابق رسم داوود، مرد خدا، هر بار دو دسته در مقابل هم می‌ایستادند و سرودهای شکرگزاری در جواب یکدیگر می‌خواندند.

25 Mathania, and Becbecia, Obedia, and Mosollam, Telmon, Accub, were keepers of the gates and of the entrances before the gates.

نگهبانان خانۀ خدا که از انبارهای کنار دروازهٔ خانۀ خدا محافظت می‌کردند عبارت بودند از: متنیا، بقبقیا، عوبدیا، مشلام، طلمون، عقوب.

26 These were in the days of Joacim the son of Josue, the son of Josedec, and in the days of Nehemias the governor, and of Esdras the priest and scribe.

اینها کسانی بودند که در زمان یویاقیم (پسر یِشوعَ، نوه یهوصاداق)، نحمیای حاکم و عِزرای معلم و کاهن انجام وظیفه می‌کردند.

27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, and to keep the dedication, and to rejoice with thanksgiving, and with singing, and with cymbals, and psalteries and harps.

هنگام تبرک حصار اورشلیم، تمام لاویان از سراسر یهودا به اورشلیم آمدند تا با سرودهای شکرگزاری همراه با نوای دف و بربط و عود، جشن بگیرند و حصار را تبرک نمایند.

28 And the sons of the singing men were gathered together out of the plain country about Jerusalem, and out of the villages of Nethuphati,

دستهٔ سرایندگان لاوی از آبادی‌های اطراف اورشلیم که در آنجا برای خود دهکده‌هایی ساخته بودند، یعنی از دهات نطوفات، بیت‌جلجال، جبع و عزموت به اورشلیم آمدند.

29 And from the house of Galgal, and from the countries of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singing men had built themselves villages round about Jerusalem.

30 And the priests and the Levites purified, and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

کاهنان و لاویان اول خودشان را تطهیر کردند، بعد قوم را و در آخر دروازه‌ها و حصار شهر را.

31 And I made the princes of Juda go up upon the wall, and I appointed two great choirs to give praise. And they went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dunghill gate.

من سران یهودا را بر سر حصار بردم و آنها را به دو دسته تقسیم کردم، تا از جهت مخالف هم، شهر را دور بزنند و در حین دور زدن در وصف خدا بسرایند. گروه اول از طرف راست، روی حصار راه افتادند و به طرف دروازهٔ خاکروبه رفتند.

32 And after them went Osaias, and half of the princes of Juda,

هوشعیا در پشت سر سرایندگان حرکت می‌کرد و پشت سر او نیز نصف سران یهودا قرار داشتند.

33 And Azarias, Esdras, and Mosollam,

کسان دیگری که در این گروه بودند عبارت بودند از: عزریا، عِزرا، مشلام،

34 Judas, and Benjamin, and Semeia, and Jeremias.

یهودا، بنیامین، شمعیا، ارمیا،

35 And of the sons of the priests with trumpets, Zacharias the son of Jonathan. the son of Semeia, the son of Mathania; the son of Michaia, the son of Zechur, the son of Asaph,

و نیز کاهنانی که شیپور می‌زدند، زکریا (زکریا پسر یوناتان، یوناتان پسر شمعیا، شمعیا پسر متنیا، متنیا پسر میکایا، میکایا پسر زکور و زکور پسر آساف بود)،

36 And his brethren Semeia, and Azareel Malalai, Galalai, Maai, Nathanael, and Judas, and Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God: and Esdras the scribe before them at the fountain gate.

و بستگان او شمعیا، عزرئیل، مللای، جللای، ماعای، نتن‌ئیل، یهودا و حنانی آلات موسیقی‌ای با خود داشتند که داوود، مرد خدا، تعیین کرده بود. عِزرای کاهن رهبری این گروه را به عهده داشت.

37 And they went up over against them by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall of the house of David, and to the water gate eastward:

وقتی ایشان به دروازهٔ چشمه رسیدند، از پله‌هایی که به شهر قدیمی داوود منتهی می‌شد بالا رفتند، و از کاخ داوود گذشته، به حصار دروازهٔ آب که در سمت شرقی شهر بود بازگشتند.

38 And the second choir of them that gave thanks went on the opposite side, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, and upon the tower of the furnaces, even to the broad wall,

گروه دوم نیز سرودخوانان از طرف دیگر راه افتادند. من نیز همراه ایشان بودم. ما از برج تنور گذشتیم و به حصار عریض رسیدیم.

39 And above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Emath, and even to the flock gate: and they stood still in the watch gate.

سپس از بالای دروازهٔ افرایم، دروازهٔ کهنه، دروازهٔ ماهی، برج حنن‌ئیل و برج صد گذشتیم تا به دروازهٔ گوسفند رسیدیم. سرانجام کنار دروازه‌ای که به خانۀ خدا باز می‌شد ایستادیم.

40 And the two choirs of them that gave praise stood still at the house of God, and I and the half of the magistrates with me.

به این ترتیب، این دو گروه، در حال شکرگزاری وارد خانۀ خدا شدند. کاهنانی که شیپور می‌زدند و در گروه من بودند عبارت بودند از: اِلیاقیم، معسیا، منیامین، میکایا، الیوعینای، زکریا و حننیا.

41 And the priests, Eliachim, Maasia, Miamin, Michea, Elioenai, Zacharia, Hanania with trumpets,

42 And Maasia, and Semeia, and Eleazar, and Azzi, and Johanan, and Melchia, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sung loud, and Jezraia was their overseer:

دسته سرایندگان نیز اینها بودند: معسیا، شمعیا، العازار، عزی، یوحانان، ملکیا، عیلام و عازر. ایشان به سرپرستی یزرحیا با صدای بلند سرود می‌خواندند.

43 And they sacrificed on that day great sacrifices, and they rejoiced: for God had made them joyful with great joy: their wives also and their children rejoiced, and the joy of Jerusalem was heard afar off.

در آن روز، قربانیهای زیادی تقدیم کردند و مردم همراه با زنان و فرزندانشان شادی نمودند، زیرا خدا قلب آنها را مملو از شادی کرده بود. صدای شادی و هلهلهٔ اهالی اورشلیم از فاصلهٔ دور شنیده می‌شد!

44 They appointed also in that day men over the storehouses of the treasure, for the libations, and for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, that the rulers of the city might bring them in by them in honour of thanksgiving, for the priests and Levites: for Juda was joyful in the priests and Levites that assisted.

در آن روز عده‌ای تعیین شدند تا مسئول جمع‌آوری و نگهداری هدایا، ده‌یکها و نوبر محصولات باشند. آنها می‌بایست هدایا و محصولاتی را که طبق دستور تورات، سهم کاهنان و لاویان بود از مزرعه‌ها جمع‌آوری کنند. اهالی یهودا از خدمت کاهنان و لاویان خوشحال بودند،

45 And they kept the watch of their God, and the observance of expiation, and the singing men, and the porters, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.

زیرا ایشان آیین تطهیر و سایر خدماتی را که خدا مقرر کرده بود به جا می‌آوردند و دسته سرایندگان و نگهبانان نیز مطابق دستوری که داوود و پسرش سلیمان داده بودند به ایشان کمک می‌کردند.

46 For in the days of David and Asaph from the beginning there were chief singers appointed, to praise with canticles, and give thanks to God.

(از زمان قدیم، یعنی از زمان داوود و آساف برای دسته سرایندگان، سردسته تعیین شده بود تا ایشان را در خواندن سرودهای شکرگزاری و پرستش رهبری کنند.)

47 And all Israel, in the days of Zorobabel, and in the days of Nehemias gave portions to the singing men, and to the porters, day by day, and they sanctified the Levites, and the Levites sanctified the sons of Aaron.

پس، در زمان زروبابِل و نحمیا، بنی‌اسرائیل برای دستهٔ سرایندگان و نگهبانان و لاویان هر روز به طور مرتب خوراک می‌آوردند. لاویان نیز از آنچه که می‌گرفتند سهم کاهنان را که از نسل هارون بودند به ایشان می‌دادند.
