Micah 2
1 Woe to you that devise that which is unprofitable, and work evil in your beds: in the morning light they execute it, because their hand is against God.
Malheur à ceux qui méditent le crime et machinent le mal sur leur couche! Dès l'aube du matin ils l'exécutent, car leur bras est pour eux un dieu.
2 And they have coveted fields, and taken them by violence, and houses they have forcibly taken away: and oppressed a man and his house, a man and his inheritance.
Ils convoitent des champs et s'en emparent, et des maisons, et ils les saisissent, et ils font violence a l'homme et à sa maison, au maître et à sa propriété.
3 Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold, I devise an evil against this family: from which you shall not withdraw your necks, and you shall not walk haughtily, for this is a very evil time.
Aussi ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, je médite contre cette race un désastre auquel vous ne soustrairez pas vos cols, et vous ne marcherez pas la tête levée, car ce sera un temps malheureux.
4 In that day a parable shall be taken up upon you, and a song shall be sung with melody by them that say: We are laid waste and spoiled: the portion of my people is changed: how shall he depart from me, whereas he is returning that will divide our land?
En ce jour-là on chantera sur vous des chansons, et on élèvera une plaintive complainte, disant: « Nous sommes désolés, désolés. Il aliène la part de mon peuple! Comme Il me l'enlève! A l'infidèle Il distribue nos champs! »
5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast the cord of a lot in the assembly of the Lord.
C'est pourquoi tu n'auras personne qui étende le cordeau sur un lot dans l'assemblée de l'Éternel.
6 Speak ye not, saying: It shall not drop upon these, confusion shall not take them.
« Ne déclamez pas! » déclament-ils. « Qu'ils ne déclament pas contre ces choses! leurs avanies ne cessent pas! »
7 The house of Jacob saith: Is the spirit of the Lord straitened, or are these his thoughts? Are not my words good to him that walketh uprightly?
O toi qui t'appelles maison de Jacob, l'Éternel est-Il prompt à s'irriter? est-ce sa façon d'agir? « N'ai-je pas des paroles de bonté pour qui suit la droiture? »
8 But my people, on the contrary, are risen up as an enemy: you have taken away the cloak off from the coat: and them that passed harmless you have turned to war.
Dès longtemps mon peuple en ennemi s'insurge; de dessus la tunique vous détachez le manteau à ceux qui passent en sécurité revenant du combat.
9 You have cast out the women of my people from their houses, in which they took delight: you have taken my praise for ever from their children.
Vous expulsez les femmes de mon peuple de leurs maisons chéries, et à leurs enfants vous ôtez pour toujours ce dont je les parai.
10 Arise ye, and depart, for there is no rest here for you. For that uncleanness of the land, it shall be corrupted with a grievous corruption.
Debout! et partez! car ce n'est pas ici pour vous un lieu de repos, parce que la souillure vous perd, parce que votre ruine est profonde.
11 Would God I were not a man that hath the spirit, and that I rather spoke a lie: I will let drop to thee of wine, and of drunkenness: and it shall be this people upon whom it shall drop.
Si un homme venait vous parler en l'air et mentir en disant: « Je te prophétise sur le vin et la cervoise! » cet homme serait le prophète de ce peuple.
12 I will assemble and gather together all of thee, O Jacob: I will bring together the remnant of Israel, I will put them together as a flock in the fold, as the sheep in the midst of the sheepcotes, they shall make a tumult by reason of the multitude of men.
Cependant je veux te recueillir, te recueillir, Jacob, tout entier, rassembler les restes d'Israël, les réunir comme les brebis d'un parc, comme le troupeau dans un pâturage; ils bruiront, tant il y aura d'hommes.
13 For he shall go up that shall open the way before them: they shall divide, and pass through the gate, and shall come in by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord at the head of them.
Il se met en marche à leur tête Celui qui sait se faire jour; ils se font jour, ils traversent la porte, et en sortent de nouveau, et leur Roi les précède, et l'Éternel est à leur tête.
