Matthew 13
1 The same day Jesus going out of the house, sat by the sea side.
அபரஞ்ச தஸ்மிந் தி³நே யீஸு²: ஸத்³மநோ க³த்வா ஸரித்பதே ரோத⁴ஸி ஸமுபவிவேஸ²|
2 And great multitudes were gathered unto him, so that he went up into a boat and sat: and all the multitude stood on the shore.
தத்ர தத்ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ ப³ஹுஜநாநாம்’ நிவஹோபஸ்தி²தே: ஸ தரணிமாருஹ்ய ஸமுபாவிஸ²த், தேந மாநவா ரோத⁴ஸி ஸ்தி²தவந்த: |
3 And he spoke to them many things in parables, saying: Behold the sower went forth to sow.
ததா³நீம்’ ஸ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தைஸ்தாந் இத்த²ம்’ ப³ஹுஸ² உபதி³ஷ்டவாந்| பஸ்²யத, கஸ்²சித் க்ரு’ஷீவலோ பீ³ஜாநி வப்தும்’ ப³ஹிர்ஜகா³ம,
4 And whilst he soweth some fell by the way side, and the birds of the air came and ate them up.
தஸ்ய வபநகாலே கதிபயபீ³ஜேஷு மார்க³பார்ஸ்²வே பதிதேஷு விஹகா³ஸ்தாநி ப⁴க்ஷிதவந்த: |
5 And other some fell upon stony ground, where they had not much earth: and they sprung up immediately, because they had no deepness of earth.
அபரம்’ கதிபயபீ³ஜேஷு ஸ்தோகம்ரு’த்³யுக்தபாஷாணே பதிதேஷு ம்ரு’த³ல்பத்வாத் தத்க்ஷணாத் தாந்யங்குரிதாநி,
6 And when the sun was up they were scorched: and because they had not root, they withered away.
கிந்து ரவாவுதி³தே த³க்³தா⁴நி தேஷாம்’ மூலாப்ரவிஷ்டத்வாத் ஸு²ஷ்கதாம்’ க³தாநி ச|
7 And others fell among thorns: and the thorns grew up and choked them.
அபரம்’ கதிபயபீ³ஜேஷு கண்டகாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே பதிதேஷு கண்டகாந்யேதி⁴த்வா தாநி ஜக்³ரஸு: |
8 And others fell upon good ground: and they brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold.
அபரஞ்ச கதிபயபீ³ஜாநி உர்வ்வராயாம்’ பதிதாநி; தேஷாம்’ மத்⁴யே காநிசித் ஸ²தகு³ணாநி காநிசித் ஷஷ்டிகு³ணாநி காநிசித் த்ரிம்’ஸ²கு³ம்’ணாநி ப²லாநி ப²லிதவந்தி|
9 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
ஸ்²ரோதும்’ யஸ்ய ஸ்²ருதீ ஆஸாதே ஸ ஸ்²ரு’ணுயாத்|
10 And his disciples came and said to him: Why speakest thou to them in parables?
அநந்தரம்’ ஸி²ஷ்யைராக³த்ய ஸோ(அ)ப்ரு’ச்ச்²யத, ப⁴வதா தேப்⁴ய: குதோ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா² கத்²யதே?
11 Who answered and said to them: Because to you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven: but to them it is not given.
தத: ஸ ப்ரத்யவத³த், ஸ்வர்க³ராஜ்யஸ்ய நிகூ³டா⁴ம்’ கதா²ம்’ வேதி³தும்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ ஸாமர்த்²யமதா³யி, கிந்து தேப்⁴யோ நாதா³யி|
12 For he that hath, to him shall be given, and he shall abound: but he that hath not, from him shall be taken away that also which he hath.
யஸ்மாத்³ யஸ்யாந்திகே வர்த்³த⁴தே, தஸ்மாயேவ தா³யிஷ்யதே, தஸ்மாத் தஸ்ய பா³ஹுல்யம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி, கிந்து யஸ்யாந்திகே ந வர்த்³த⁴தே, தஸ்ய யத் கிஞ்சநாஸ்தே, தத³பி தஸ்மாத்³ ஆதா³யிஷ்யதே|
13 Therefore do I speak to them in parables: because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
தே பஸ்²யந்தோபி ந பஸ்²யந்தி, ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்தோபி ந ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்தி, பு³த்⁴யமாநா அபி ந பு³த்⁴யந்தே ச, தஸ்மாத் தேப்⁴யோ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா² கத்²யதே|
14 And the prophecy of Isaias is fulfilled in them, who saith: By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand: and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive.
யதா² கர்ணை: ஸ்²ரோஷ்யத² யூயம்’ வை கிந்து யூயம்’ ந போ⁴த்ஸ்யத²| நேத்ரைர்த்³ரக்ஷ்யத² யூயஞ்ச பரிஜ்ஞாதும்’ ந ஸ²க்ஷ்யத²| தே மாநுஷா யதா² நைவ பரிபஸ்²யந்தி லோசநை: | கர்ணை ர்யதா² ந ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்தி ந பு³த்⁴யந்தே ச மாநஸை: | வ்யாவர்த்திதேஷு சித்தேஷு காலே குத்ராபி தைர்ஜநை: | மத்தஸ்தே மநுஜா: ஸ்வஸ்தா² யதா² நைவ ப⁴வந்தி ச| ததா² தேஷாம்’ மநுஷ்யாணாம்’ க்ரியந்தே ஸ்தூ²லபு³த்³த⁴ய: | ப³தி⁴ரீபூ⁴தகர்ணாஸ்²ச ஜாதாஸ்²ச முத்³ரிதா த்³ரு’ஸ²: |
15 For the heart of this people is grown gross, and with their ears they have been dull of hearing, and their eyes they have shut: lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
யதே³தாநி வசநாநி யிஸ²யியப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நா ப்ரோக்தாநி தேஷு தாநி ப²லந்தி|
16 But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear.
கிந்து யுஷ்மாகம்’ நயநாநி த⁴ந்யாநி, யஸ்மாத் தாநி வீக்ஷந்தே; த⁴ந்யாஸ்²ச யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸ²ப்³த³க்³ரஹா: , யஸ்மாத் தைராகர்ண்யதே|
17 For, amen, I say to you, many prophets and just men have desired to see the things that you see, and have not seen them, and to hear the things that you hear and have not heard them.
மயா யூயம்’ தத்²யம்’ வசாமி யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யத்³யத்³ வீக்ஷ்யதே, தத்³ ப³ஹவோ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நோ தா⁴ர்ம்மிகாஸ்²ச மாநவா தி³த்³ரு’க்ஷந்தோபி த்³ரஷ்டும்’ நாலப⁴ந்த, புநஸ்²ச யூயம்’ யத்³யத் ஸ்²ரு’ணுத², தத் தே ஸு²ஸ்²ரூஷமாணா அபி ஸ்²ரோதும்’ நாலப⁴ந்த|
18 Hear you therefore the parable of the sower.
க்ரு’ஷீவலீயத்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தஸ்யார்த²ம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ணுத|
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, there cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart: this is he that received the seed by the way side.
மார்க³பார்ஸ்²வே பீ³ஜாந்யுப்தாநி தஸ்யார்த² ஏஷ: , யதா³ கஸ்²சித் ராஜ்யஸ்ய கதா²ம்’ நிஸ²ம்ய ந பு³த்⁴யதே, ததா³ பாபாத்மாக³த்ய ததீ³யமநஸ உப்தாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஹரந் நயதி|
20 And he that received the seed upon stony ground, is he that heareth the word, and immediately receiveth it with joy.
அபரம்’ பாஷாணஸ்த²லே பீ³ஜாந்யுப்தாநி தஸ்யார்த² ஏஷ: ; கஸ்²சித் கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வைவ ஹர்ஷசித்தேந க்³ரு’ஹ்லாதி,
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but is only for a time: and when there ariseth tribulation and persecution because of the word, he is presently scandalized.
கிந்து தஸ்ய மநஸி மூலாப்ரவிஷ்டத்வாத் ஸ கிஞ்சித்காலமாத்ரம்’ ஸ்தி²ரஸ்திஷ்ட²தி; பஸ்²சாத தத்கதா²காரணாத் கோபி க்லேஸ்தாட³நா வா சேத் ஜாயதே, தர்ஹி ஸ தத்க்ஷணாத்³ விக்⁴நமேதி|
22 And he that received the seed among thorns, is he that heareth the word, and the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choketh up the word, and he becometh fruitless. (aiōn g165)
அபரம்’ கண்டகாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே பீ³ஜாந்யுப்தாநி தத³ர்த² ஏஷ: ; கேநசித் கதா²யாம்’ ஸ்²ருதாயாம்’ ஸாம்’ஸாரிகசிந்தாபி⁴ ர்ப்⁴ராந்திபி⁴ஸ்²ச ஸா க்³ரஸ்யதே, தேந ஸா மா விப²லா ப⁴வதி| (aiōn g165)
23 But he that received the seed upon good ground, is he that heareth the word, and understandeth, and beareth fruit, and yieldeth the one an hundredfold, and another sixty, and another thirty.
அபரம் உர்வ்வராயாம்’ பீ³ஜாந்யுப்தாநி தத³ர்த² ஏஷ: ; யே தாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா வுத்⁴யந்தே, தே ப²லிதா: ஸந்த: கேசித் ஸ²தகு³ணாநி கேசித ஷஷ்டிகு³ணாநி கேசிச்ச த்ரிம்’ஸ²த்³கு³ணாநி ப²லாநி ஜநயந்தி|
24 Another parable he proposed to them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is likened to a man that sowed good seeds in his field.
அநந்தரம்’ ஸோபராமேகாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²முபஸ்தா²ப்ய தேப்⁴ய: கத²யாமாஸ; ஸ்வர்கீ³யராஜ்யம்’ தாத்³ரு’ஸே²ந கேநசித்³ க்³ரு’ஹஸ்தே²நோபமீயதே, யேந ஸ்வீயக்ஷேத்ரே ப்ரஸ²ஸ்தபீ³ஜாந்யௌப்யந்த|
25 But while men were asleep, his enemy came and oversowed cockle among the wheat and went his way.
கிந்து க்ஷணதா³யாம்’ ஸகலலோகேஷு ஸுப்தேஷு தஸ்ய ரிபுராக³த்ய தேஷாம்’ கோ³தூ⁴மபீ³ஜாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே வந்யயவமபீ³ஜாந்யுப்த்வா வவ்ராஜ|
26 And when the blade was sprung up, and had brought forth fruit, then appeared also the cockle.
ததோ யதா³ பீ³ஜேப்⁴யோ(அ)ங்கரா ஜாயமாநா: கணிஸா²நி க்⁴ரு’தவந்த: ; ததா³ வந்யயவஸாந்யபி த்³ரு’ஸ்²யமாநாந்யப⁴வந்|
27 And the servants of the goodman of the house coming said to him: Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it cockle?
ததோ க்³ரு’ஹஸ்த²ஸ்ய தா³ஸேயா ஆக³ம்ய தஸ்மை கத²யாஞ்சக்ரு: , ஹே மஹேச்ச², ப⁴வதா கிம்’ க்ஷேத்ரே ப⁴த்³ரபீ³ஜாநி நௌப்யந்த? ததா²த்வே வந்யயவஸாநி க்ரு’த ஆயந்?
28 And he said to them: An enemy hath done this. And the servants said to him: Wilt thou that we go and gather it up?
ததா³நீம்’ தேந தே ப்ரதிக³தி³தா: , கேநசித் ரிபுணா கர்ம்மத³மகாரி| தா³ஸேயா: கத²யாமாஸு: , வயம்’ க³த்வா தாந்யுத்பாய்ய க்ஷிபாமோ ப⁴வத: கீத்³ரு’ஸீ²ச்சா² ஜாயதே?
29 And he said: No, lest perhaps gathering up the cockle, you root up the wheat also together with it.
தேநாவாதி³, நஹி, ஸ²ங்கே(அ)ஹம்’ வந்யயவஸோத்பாடநகாலே யுஷ்மாபி⁴ஸ்தை: ஸாகம்’ கோ³தூ⁴மா அப்யுத்பாடிஷ்யந்தே|
30 Suffer both to grow until the harvest, and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers: Gather up first the cockle, and bind it into bundles to burn, but the wheat gather ye into my barn.
அத: ஸ்²ஸ்யகர்த்தநகாலம்’ யாவத்³ உப⁴யாந்யபி ஸஹ வர்த்³த⁴ந்தாம்’, பஸ்²சாத் கர்த்தநகாலே கர்த்தகாந் வக்ஷ்யாமி, யூயமாதௌ³ வந்யயவஸாநி ஸம்’க்³ரு’ஹ்ய தா³ஹயிதும்’ வீடிகா ப³த்³வ்வா ஸ்தா²பயத; கிந்து ஸர்வ்வே கோ³தூ⁴மா யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்பா⁴ண்டா³கா³ரம்’ நீத்வா ஸ்தா²ப்யந்தாம்|
31 Another parable he proposed unto them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field.
அநந்தரம்’ ஸோபராமேகாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²முத்தா²ப்ய தேப்⁴ய: கதி²தவாந் கஸ்²சிந்மநுஜ: ஸர்ஷபபீ³ஜமேகம்’ நீத்வா ஸ்வக்ஷேத்ர உவாப|
32 Which is the least indeed of all seeds; but when it is grown up, it is greater than all herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come, and dwell in the branches thereof.
ஸர்ஷபபீ³ஜம்’ ஸர்வ்வஸ்மாத்³ பீ³ஜாத் க்ஷுத்³ரமபி ஸத³ங்குரிதம்’ ஸர்வ்வஸ்மாத் ஸா²காத் ப்³ரு’ஹத்³ ப⁴வதி; ஸ தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ஸ்தரு ர்ப⁴வதி, யஸ்ய ஸா²கா²ஸு நப⁴ஸ: க²கா³ ஆக³த்ய நிவஸந்தி; ஸ்வர்கீ³யராஜ்யம்’ தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ஸ்ய ஸர்ஷபைகஸ்ய ஸமம்|
33 Another parable he spoke to them: The kingdom of heaven is like to leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, until the whole was leavened.
புநரபி ஸ உபமாகதா²மேகாம்’ தேப்⁴ய: கத²யாஞ்சகார; காசந யோஷித் யத் கிண்வமாதா³ய த்³ரோணத்ரயமிதகோ³தூ⁴மசூர்ணாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ மிஸ்ரீப⁴வநபர்ய்யந்தம்’ ஸமாச்சா²த்³ய நித⁴த்தவதீ, தத்கிண்வமிவ ஸ்வர்க³ராஜ்யம்’|
34 All these things Jesus spoke in parables to the multitudes: and without parables he did not speak to them.
இத்த²ம்’ யீஸு² ர்மநுஜநிவஹாநாம்’ ஸந்நிதா⁴வுபமாகதா²பி⁴ரேதாந்யாக்²யாநாநி கதி²தவாந் உபமாம்’ விநா தேப்⁴ய: கிமபி கதா²ம்’ நாகத²யத்|
35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.
ஏதேந த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தீயேந வாக்யேந வ்யாதா³ய வத³நம்’ நிஜம்’| அஹம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யிஷ்யாமி கு³ப்தவாக்யம்’ புராப⁴வம்’| யதே³தத்³வசநம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நா ப்ரோக்தமாஸீத், தத் ஸித்³த⁴மப⁴வத்|
36 Then having sent away the multitudes, he came into the house, and his disciples came to him, saying: Expound to us the parable of the cockle of the field.
ஸர்வ்வாந் மநுஜாந் விஸ்ரு’ஜ்ய யீஸௌ² க்³ரு’ஹம்’ ப்ரவிஷ்டே தச்சி²ஷ்யா ஆக³த்ய யீஸ²வே கதி²தவந்த: , க்ஷேத்ரஸ்ய வந்யயவஸீயத்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²ம் ப⁴வாந அஸ்மாந் ஸ்பஷ்டீக்ரு’த்ய வத³து|
37 Who made answer and said to them: He that soweth the good seed, is the Son of man.
தத: ஸ ப்ரத்யுவாச, யேந ப⁴த்³ரபீ³ஜாந்யுப்யந்தே ஸ மநுஜபுத்ர: ,
38 And the field, is the world. And the good seed are the children of the kingdom. And the cockle, are the children of the wicked one.
க்ஷேத்ரம்’ ஜக³த், ப⁴த்³ரபீ³ஜாநீ ராஜ்யஸ்ய ஸந்தாநா: ,
39 And the enemy that sowed them, is the devil. But the harvest is the end of the world. And the reapers are the angels. (aiōn g165)
வந்யயவஸாநி பாபாத்மந: ஸந்தாநா: | யேந ரிபுணா தாந்யுப்தாநி ஸ ஸ²யதாந: , கர்த்தநஸமயஸ்²ச ஜக³த: ஸே²ஷ: , கர்த்தகா: ஸ்வர்கீ³யதூ³தா: | (aiōn g165)
40 Even as cockle therefore is gathered up, and burnt with fire: so shall it be at the end of the world. (aiōn g165)
யதா² வந்யயவஸாநி ஸம்’க்³ரு’ஹ்ய தா³ஹ்யந்தே, ததா² ஜக³த: ஸே²ஷே ப⁴விஷ்யதி; (aiōn g165)
41 The Son of man shall send his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all scandals, and them that work iniquity.
அர்தா²த் மநுஜஸுத: ஸ்வாம்’யதூ³தாந் ப்ரேஷயிஷ்யதி, தேந தே ச தஸ்ய ராஜ்யாத் ஸர்வ்வாந் விக்⁴நகாரிணோ(அ)தா⁴ர்ம்மிகலோகாம்’ஸ்²ச ஸம்’க்³ரு’ஹ்ய
42 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
யத்ர ரோத³நம்’ த³ந்தக⁴ர்ஷணஞ்ச ப⁴வதி, தத்ராக்³நிகுண்டே³ நிக்ஷேப்ஸ்யந்தி|
43 Then shall the just shine as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
ததா³நீம்’ தா⁴ர்ம்மிகலோகா: ஸ்வேஷாம்’ பிதூ ராஜ்யே பா⁴ஸ்கரஇவ தேஜஸ்விநோ ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி| ஸ்²ரோதும்’ யஸ்ய ஸ்²ருதீ ஆஸாதே, ம ஸ்²ரு’ணுயாத்|
44 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in a field. Which a man having found, hid it, and for joy thereof goeth, and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
அபரஞ்ச க்ஷேத்ரமத்⁴யே நிதி⁴ம்’ பஸ்²யந் யோ கோ³பயதி, தத: பரம்’ ஸாநந்தோ³ க³த்வா ஸ்வீயஸர்வ்வஸ்வம்’ விக்ரீய த்தக்ஷேத்ரம்’ க்ரீணாதி, ஸ இவ ஸ்வர்க³ராஜ்யம்’|
45 Again the kingdom of heaven is like to a merchant seeking good pearls.
அந்யஞ்ச யோ வணிக் உத்தமாம்’ முக்தாம்’ க³வேஷயந்
46 Who when he had found one pearl of great price, went his way, and sold all that he had, and bought it.
மஹார்கா⁴ம்’ முக்தாம்’ விலோக்ய நிஜஸர்வ்வஸ்வம்’ விக்ரீய தாம்’ க்ரீணாதி, ஸ இவ ஸ்வர்க³ராஜ்யம்’|
47 Again the kingdom of heaven is like to a net cast into the sea, and gathering together of all kind of fishes.
புநஸ்²ச ஸமுத்³ரோ நிக்ஷிப்த: ஸர்வ்வப்ரகாரமீநஸம்’க்³ராஹ்யாநாயஇவ ஸ்வர்க³ராஜ்யம்’|
48 Which, when it was filled, they drew out, and sitting by the shore, they chose out the good into vessels, but the bad they cast forth.
தஸ்மிந் ஆநாயே பூர்ணே ஜநா யதா² ரோத⁴ஸ்யுத்தோல்ய ஸமுபவிஸ்²ய ப்ரஸ²ஸ்தமீநாந் ஸம்’க்³ரஹ்ய பா⁴ஜநேஷு நித³த⁴தே, குத்ஸிதாந் நிக்ஷிபந்தி;
49 So shall it be at the end of the world. The angels shall go out, and shall separate the wicked from among the just. (aiōn g165)
ததை²வ ஜக³த: ஸே²ஷே ப⁴விஷ்யதி, ப²லத: ஸ்வர்கீ³யதூ³தா ஆக³த்ய புண்யவஜ்ஜநாநாம்’ மத்⁴யாத் பாபிந: ப்ரு’த²க் க்ரு’த்வா வஹ்நிகுண்டே³ நிக்ஷேப்ஸ்யந்தி, (aiōn g165)
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
தத்ர ரோத³நம்’ த³ந்தை ர்த³ந்தக⁴ர்ஷணஞ்ச ப⁴விஷ்யத: |
51 Have ye understood all these things? They say to him: Yes.
யீஸு²நா தே ப்ரு’ஷ்டா யுஷ்மாபி⁴: கிமேதாந்யாக்²யாநாந்யபு³த்⁴யந்த? ததா³ தே ப்ரத்யவத³ந், ஸத்யம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴|
52 He said unto them: Therefore every scribe instructed in the kingdom of heaven, is like to a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure new things and old.
ததா³நீம்’ ஸ கதி²தவாந், நிஜபா⁴ண்டா³கா³ராத் நவீநபுராதநாநி வஸ்தூநி நிர்க³மயதி யோ க்³ரு’ஹஸ்த²: ஸ இவ ஸ்வர்க³ராஜ்யமதி⁴ ஸி²க்ஷிதா: ஸ்வர்வ உபதே³ஷ்டார: |
53 And it came to pass: when Jesus had finished these parables, he passed from thence.
அநந்தரம்’ யீஸு²ரேதா: ஸர்வ்வா த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²: ஸமாப்ய தஸ்மாத் ஸ்தா²நாத் ப்ரதஸ்தே²| அபரம்’ ஸ்வதே³ஸ²மாக³த்ய ஜநாந் ப⁴ஜநப⁴வந உபதி³ஷ்டவாந்;
54 And coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogues, so that they wondered and said: How came this man by this wisdom and miracles?
தே விஸ்மயம்’ க³த்வா கதி²தவந்த ஏதஸ்யைதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ ஜ்ஞாநம் ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ கர்ம்ம ச கஸ்மாத்³ அஜாயத?
55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brethren James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Jude:
கிமயம்’ ஸூத்ரதா⁴ரஸ்ய புத்ரோ நஹி? ஏதஸ்ய மாது ர்நாம ச கிம்’ மரியம் நஹி? யாகுப்³-யூஷப்²-ஸி²மோந்-யிஹூதா³ஸ்²ச கிமேதஸ்ய ப்⁴ராதரோ நஹி?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence therefore hath he all these things?
ஏதஸ்ய ப⁴கி³ந்யஸ்²ச கிமஸ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே ந ஸந்தி? தர்ஹி கஸ்மாத³யமேதாநி லப்³த⁴வாந்? இத்த²ம்’ ஸ தேஷாம்’ விக்⁴நரூபோ ப³பூ⁴வ;
57 And they were scandalized in his regard. But Jesus said to them: A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
ததோ யீஸு²நா நிக³தி³தம்’ ஸ்வதே³ஸீ²யஜநாநாம்’ மத்⁴யம்’ விநா ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³ குத்ராப்யந்யத்ர நாஸம்மாந்யோ ப⁴வதீ|
58 And he wrought not many miracles there, because of their unbelief.
தேஷாமவிஸ்²வாஸஹேதோ: ஸ தத்ர ஸ்தா²நே ப³ஹ்வாஸ்²சர்ய்யகர்ம்மாணி ந க்ரு’தவாந்|
