Matthew 12
1 At that time Jesus went through the corn on the sabbath: and his disciples being hungry, began to pluck the ears, and to eat.
൧ആ കാലത്ത് യേശു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ വിളഭൂമിയിൽകൂടി കടന്നുപോയി; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ വിശന്നിട്ട് ധാന്യത്തിന്റെ കതിർ പറിച്ചു തിന്നുതുടങ്ങി
2 And the Pharisees seeing them, said to him: Behold thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days.
൨പരീശന്മാർ അത് കണ്ടിട്ട്: നോക്കു, ശബ്ബത്തിൽ നിയമവിരുദ്ധമായത് നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു യേശുവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 But he said to them: Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him:
൩എന്നാൽ യേശു അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: ദാവീദ് തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും
4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the loaves of proposition, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for them that were with him, but for the priests only?
൪വിശന്നപ്പോൾ ചെയ്തത് എന്ത് എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ? അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെന്ന്, പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കു മാത്രമല്ലാതെ തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും തിന്മാൻ വിഹിതമല്ലാത്ത കാഴ്ചയപ്പം തിന്നു
5 Or have ye not read in the law, that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple break the sabbath, and are without blame?
൫അല്ല, ശബ്ബത്തിൽ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ വെച്ച് ശബ്ബത്തിനെ ലംഘിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുറ്റമില്ലാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?
6 But I tell you that there is here a greater than the temple.
൬എന്നാൽ ദൈവാലയത്തേക്കാൾ വലിയവൻ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ട് എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
7 And if you knew what this meaneth: I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: you would never have condemned the innocent.
൭യാഗത്തിലല്ല കരുണയിൽ അത്രേ, ഞാൻ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ളത് എന്ത് എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു.
8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath.
൮മനുഷ്യപുത്രനോ ശബ്ബത്തിന് കർത്താവാകുന്നു.
9 And when he has passed from thence, he came into their synagogues.
൯അവൻ അവിടം വിട്ടു അവരുടെ പള്ളിയിൽ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ, കൈ വരണ്ട ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ട്.
10 And behold there was a man who had a withered hand, and they asked him, saying: Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
൧൦അവർ അവനിൽ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തേണ്ടതിന് ശബ്ബത്തിൽ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നത് വിഹിതമോ എന്നു അവനോട് ചോദിച്ചു.
11 But he said to them: What man shall there be among you, that hath one sheep: and if the same fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not take hold on it and lift it up?
൧൧അവൻ അവരോട്: നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുവന് ഒരേയൊരു ആടുണ്ട് എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ; അത് ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ആഴമുള്ളകുഴിയിൽ വീണാൽ അവൻ അതിനെ പിടിച്ച് കയറ്റുകയില്ലയോ?
12 How much better is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do a good deed on the sabbath days.
൧൨എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യൻ ആടിനേക്കാൾ എത്ര വിശേഷതയുള്ളവൻ. ആകയാൽ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതു നിയമാനുസൃതം തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13 Then he saith to the man: Stretch forth thy hand; and he stretched it forth, and it was restored to health even as the other.
൧൩പിന്നെ യേശു ആ മനുഷ്യനോടു: കൈ നീട്ടുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ നീട്ടി, അത് മറ്റേ കൈപോലെ സൌഖ്യമായി.
14 And the Pharisees going out made a consultation against him, how they might destroy him.
൧൪പരീശന്മാരോ പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ എങ്ങനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ കഴിയും എന്ന് അന്വേഷിച്ച് അവന് വിരോധമായി ഉപായം ചമച്ചു.
15 But Jesus knowing it, retired from thence: and many followed him, and he healed them all.
൧൫യേശു അത് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവിടം വിട്ടുപോയി, വളരെ പേർ അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്ന്; അവൻ അവരെ ഒക്കെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കി,
16 And he charged them that they should not make him known.
൧൬തന്നെ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ മുൻപിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കരുത് എന്നു അവരോട് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു.
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaias the prophet, saying:
൧൭“ഇതാ, ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത എന്റെ ദാസൻ, എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പ്രിയൻ; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ അവന്റെമേൽ വെയ്ക്കും; അവൻ ജാതികൾക്ക് ന്യായവിധി അറിയിക്കും.
18 Behold my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul hath been well pleased. I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
൧൮അവൻ മത്സരിക്കുകയില്ല, നിലവിളിക്കുകയില്ല; ആരും തെരുവീഥികളിൽ അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുകയുമില്ല.
19 He shall not contend, nor cry out, neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
൧൯ചതഞ്ഞ ഞാങ്ങണ അവൻ ഒടിച്ചുകളയുകയില്ല; പുകയുന്ന തിരി കെടുത്തുകളകയില്ല; അവൻ ന്യായവിധി ജയത്തോളം നടത്തും.
20 The bruised reed he shall not break: and smoking flax he shall not extinguish: till he send forth judgment unto victory.
൨൦അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ജാതികൾ പ്രത്യാശവെയ്ക്കും”
21 And in his name the Gentiles shall hope.
൨൧എന്നിങ്ങനെ യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത് നിവൃത്തിയായി.
22 Then was offered to him one possessed with a devil, blind and dumb: and he healed him, so that he spoke and saw.
൨൨അതിനുശേഷം കുരുടനും ഊമനുമായൊരു ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തനെ ചിലർ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ഊമൻ സംസാരിക്കുകയും കാണുകയും ചെയ്‌വാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ അവനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.
23 And all the multitudes were amazed, and said: Is not this the son of David?
൨൩പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും വിസ്മയിച്ചു: ഇവൻ ദാവീദുപുത്രൻ തന്നെയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
24 But the Pharisees hearing it, said: This man casteth not out the devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
൨൪അത് കേട്ടിട്ട് പരീശന്മാർ: ഇവൻ ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ പ്രഭുവായ ബെയെത്സെബൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടല്ലാതെ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25 And Jesus knowing their thoughts, said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself shall be made desolate: and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.
൨൫യേശു അവരുടെ നിരൂപണം അറിഞ്ഞ് അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: തന്നിൽ തന്നെ ഭിന്നിക്കുന്ന ഏത് രാജ്യവും ശൂന്യമാകും;
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself: how then shall his kingdom stand?
൨൬ഒരു പട്ടണമോ ഗൃഹമോ തന്നിൽതന്നേ ഭിന്നിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല. സാത്താൻ സാത്താനെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവൻ തന്നിൽതന്നേ ഭിന്നിച്ചു പോയല്ലോ; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ രാജ്യം എങ്ങനെ നിലനില്ക്കും?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
൨൭ഞാൻ ബെയെത്സെബൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ അനുഗാമികൾ ആരെക്കൊണ്ട് പുറത്താക്കുന്നു? അതുകൊണ്ട് അവർ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ന്യായാധിപന്മാർ ആകും.
28 But if I by the Spirit of God cast out devils, then is the kingdom of God come upon you.
൨൮ദൈവാത്മാവിനാൽ ഞാൻ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
29 Or how can any one enter into the house of the strong, and rifle his goods, unless he first bind the strong? and then he will rifle his house.
൨൯ബലവാന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കടന്നു അവന്റെ വസ്തുവകകൾ കവർന്നെടുക്കുവാൻ, ആദ്യം ബലവാനെ പിടിച്ച് കെട്ടീട്ടല്ലാതെ എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടിയാൽ പിന്നെ അവന്റെ വീട് കവർച്ച ചെയ്യാം.
30 He that is not with me, is against me: and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.
൩൦എനിക്ക് അനുകൂലമല്ലാത്തവൻ എനിക്ക് പ്രതികൂലം ആകുന്നു; എന്നോടൊപ്പം ചേർക്കാത്തവൻ ചിതറിപ്പോകുന്നു.
31 Therefore I say to you: Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but the blasphemy of the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
൩൧അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നത്: സകലപാപവും ദൂഷണവും മനുഷ്യരോടു ക്ഷമിയ്ക്കും; ആത്മാവിന് എതിരെയുള്ള ദൂഷണമോ ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.
32 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but he that shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come. (aiōn g165)
൩൨ആരെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് എതിരെ ഒരു വാക്ക് പറഞ്ഞാൽ അത് അവനോട് ക്ഷമിയ്ക്കും; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന് എതിരെ പറഞ്ഞാലോ ഈ ലോകത്തിലും വരുവാനുള്ളതിലും അവനോട് ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല. (aiōn g165)
33 Either make the tree good and its fruit good: or make the tree evil, and its fruit evil. For by the fruit the tree is known.
൩൩ഒന്നുകിൽ വൃക്ഷം നല്ലത്, ഫലവും നല്ലത് എന്നു വയ്ക്കുവിൻ; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വൃക്ഷം ഗുണമല്ല, ഫലവും ഗുണകരമല്ല എന്നു വയ്ക്കുവിൻ; ഫലം കൊണ്ടല്ലോ വൃക്ഷത്തെ അറിയുന്നത്.
34 O generation of vipers, how can you speak good things, whereas you are evil? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
൩൪സർപ്പസന്തതികളേ, നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടരായിരിക്കെ നല്ലത് സംസാരിപ്പാൻ എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതിൽ നിന്നല്ലോ വായ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നത്.
35 A good man out of a good treasure bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of an evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
൩൫നല്ലമനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തിൽനിന്ന് നല്ലത് പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ദുഷ്ടതയിൽനിന്ന് ദുഷ്ടതയായത് പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു.
36 But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall render an account for it in the day of judgment.
൩൬എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യർ പറയുന്ന ഏത് നിസ്സാരവാക്കിനും ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തിൽ കണക്ക് ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
൩൭നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാൽ നീ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാൽ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.
38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying: Master we would see a sign from thee.
൩൮അപ്പോൾ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരിലും പരീശന്മാരിലും ചിലർ അവനോട്: ഗുരോ, നീ ഒരു അടയാളം ചെയ്തുകാണ്മാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവരോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്:
39 Who answering said to them: An evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign: and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
൩൯ദോഷവും വ്യഭിചാരവുമുള്ള തലമുറ അടയാളം തിരയുന്നു; യോനാപ്രവാചകന്റെ അടയാളമല്ലാതെ അതിന് അടയാളം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.
40 For as Jonas was in the whale’s belly three days and three nights: so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
൪൦യോനാ വലിയ മത്സ്യത്തിന്റെ വയറ്റിൽ മൂന്നു രാവും മൂന്നു പകലും ഇരുന്നതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മൂന്നു രാവും മൂന്നു പകലും ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ ഇരിക്കും.
41 The men of Ninive shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they did penance at the preaching of Jonas. And behold a greater than Jonas here.
൪൧നിനവേക്കാർ ന്യായവിധിയിൽ ഈ തലമുറയോട് ഒന്നിച്ച് എഴുന്നേറ്റ് അതിനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും; അവർ യോനയുടെ പ്രസംഗം കേട്ട് മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടുവല്ലോ; ഇതാ, ഇവിടെ യോനയിലും വലിയവൻ.
42 The queen of the south shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold a greater than Solomon here.
൪൨തെക്കെ രാജ്ഞി ന്യായവിധിയിൽ ഈ തലമുറയോട് ഒന്നിച്ച് ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റ് അതിനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും; അവൾ ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം കേൾക്കുവാൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതികളിൽനിന്നു വന്നുവല്ലോ; ഇവിടെ ഇതാ, ശലോമോനിലും വലിയവൻ.
43 And when an unclean spirit is gone out of a man he walketh through dry places seeking rest, and findeth none.
൪൩അശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം വരണ്ട സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽക്കൂടി വിശ്രമം അന്വേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ലതാനും.
44 Then he saith: I will return into my house from whence I came out. And coming he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
൪൪അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോന്ന എന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലും എന്ന് അവൻ പറയുന്നു; മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ, അത് ഒഴിഞ്ഞതും അടിച്ചുവാരി അലങ്കരിച്ചതുമായി കണ്ട്.
45 Then he goeth, and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is made worse than the first. So shall it be also to this wicked generation.
൪൫പിന്നെ അത് പുറപ്പെട്ടു, തന്നിലും ദുഷ്ടതയേറിയ വേറെ ഏഴ് ആത്മാക്കളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; അവരും അവിടെ കയറി പാർക്കുന്നു; ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഒടുവിലത്തെ സ്ഥിതി ആദ്യത്തേതിലും ദുരിതപൂർണ്ണം ആകും; ഈ ദുഷ്ടതലമുറയ്ക്കും അങ്ങനെ ഭവിക്കും.
46 As he was yet speaking to the multitudes, behold his mother and his brethren stood without, seeking to speak to him.
൪൬യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോട് സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും അവനോട് സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തുനിന്നു.
47 And one said unto him: Behold thy mother and thy brethren stand without, seeking thee.
൪൭ഒരുവൻ അവനോട്: നിന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും നിന്നോട് സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തു നില്ക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
48 But he answering him that told him, said: Who is my mother, and who are my brethren?
൪൮അത് പറഞ്ഞവനോട് ഉത്തരമായി അവൻ: എന്റെ അമ്മ ആർ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ആർ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
49 And stretching forth his hand towards his disciples, he said: Behold my mother and my brethren.
൪൯എന്നിട്ട് അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി: ഇതാ, എന്റെ അമ്മയും എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും.
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father, that is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
൫൦സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ഏവനും എന്റെ സഹോദരനും സഹോദരിയും അമ്മയും ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
