Mark 13
1 And as he was going out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him: Master, behold what manner of stones and what buildings are here.
૧ઈસુ ભક્તિસ્થાનમાંથી બહાર જતા હતા. ત્યારે તેમનો એક શિષ્ય તેમને કહે છે કે, ‘ઉપદેશક, જુઓ, કેવાં પથ્થર તથા કેવાં બાંધકામો!’
2 And Jesus answering, said to him: Seest thou all these great buildings? There shall not be left a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.
૨ઈસુએ તેને કહ્યું કે, ‘શું તું એ મોટાં બાંધકામો જુએ છે? પાડી નહિ નંખાય એવો એક પણ પથ્થર બીજા પર અહીં રહેવા દેવાશે નહિ.’”
3 And as he sat on the mount of Olivet over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him apart:
૩જૈતૂન પહાડ પર, મંદિરની સામે તે બેઠા હતા ત્યારે પિતરે, યાકૂબે, યોહાને તથા આન્દ્રિયાએ તેમને એકાંતમાં પૂછ્યું,
4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall begin to be fulfilled?
૪‘અમને કહો, એ ક્યારે થશે? જયારે તે બધાં પૂરાં થવાનાં હશે, ત્યારે કયા ચિહ્ન થશે?’”
5 And Jesus answering, began to say to them, Take heed lest any man deceive you.
૫ઈસુ તેઓને કહેવા લાગ્યા કે, ‘કોઈ તમને ભુલાવામાં ન નાખે, માટે સાવધાન રહો.
6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am he; and they shall deceive many.
૬ઘણાં મારે નામે આવીને કહેશે કે, તે હું છું અને ઘણાંઓને ગેરમાર્ગે દોરશે.
7 And when you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, fear ye not. For such things must needs be, but the end is not yet.
૭પણ જયારે યુદ્ધ વિષે તથા યુદ્ધની અફવાઓ વિષે તમે સાંભળો, ત્યારે ગભરાશો નહિ; એમ થવું જ જોઈએ; પણ તેટલેથી અંત નહિ આવે.
8 For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and famines. These things are the beginning of sorrows.
૮કેમ કે પ્રજા પ્રજાની વિરુદ્ધ તથા રાજ્ય રાજ્યની વિરુદ્ધ ઊઠશે; જગ્યા જગ્યાએ ધરતીકંપ થશે અને દુકાળો પડશે; આ તો મહાદુઃખનો આરંભ છે.
9 But look to yourselves. For they shall deliver you up to councils, and in the synagogues you shall be beaten, and you shall stand before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony unto them.
૯પણ પોતાના વિષે સાવધાન રહો; કેમ કે તેઓ તમને ન્યાયસભાઓને સોંપશે; સભાસ્થાનોમાં તમે કોરડાના માર ખાશો; અને તમને મારે લીધે અધિકારીઓ તથા રાજાઓ આગળ, તેઓને માટે સાક્ષી થવા સારુ, ઊભા કરવામાં આવશે.
10 And unto all nations the gospel must first be preached.
૧૦પણ પહેલાં સર્વ દેશોમાં સુવાર્તા પ્રગટ થવી જોઈએ.
11 And when they shall lead you and deliver you up, be not thoughtful beforehand what you shall speak; but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye. For it is not you that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
૧૧જયારે તેઓ તમને ધરપકડ કરશે, ત્યારે શું બોલવું તે વિષે અગાઉથી ચિંતા ન કરો; પણ તે વેળા તમને જે આપવામાં આવશે તે પ્રમાણે બોલજો; કેમ કે બોલનાર તે તમે નહિ, પણ પવિત્ર આત્મા હશે.
12 And the brother shall betray his brother unto death, and the father his son; and children shall rise up against the parents, and shall work their death.
૧૨ભાઈ ભાઈને તથા પિતા છોકરાંને મરણદંડને સારુ પકડાવશે; છોકરાં માબાપની સામે ઊઠશે અને તેઓને મારી નંખાવશે.
13 And you shall be hated by all men for my name’s sake. But he that shall endure unto the end, he shall be saved.
૧૩મારા નામને લીધે બધા તમારો દ્વેષ કરશે; પણ જે અંત સુધી ટકશે તે જ ઉદ્ધાર પામશે.
14 And when you shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not: he that readeth let him understand: then let them that are in Judea, flee unto the mountains:
૧૪પણ જ્યારે તમે પાયમાલીની ધિક્કારપાત્રતા જ્યાં ઘટિત નથી ત્યાં ભક્તિસ્થાનમાં ઊભેલી જુઓ, જે વાંચે છે તેણે સમજવું, ત્યારે જેઓ યહૂદિયામાં હોય તેઓ પહાડોમાં નાસી જાય.
15 And let him that is on the housetop, not go down into the house, nor enter therein to take any thing out of the house:
૧૫અગાશી પર હોય તે ઊતરીને ઘરમાંથી કંઈ લેવા સારુ અંદર ન જાય;
16 And let him that shall be in the field, not turn back to take up his garment.
૧૬અને જે ખેતરમાં હોય તે પોતાનું વસ્ત્ર લેવાને પાછો ન આવે.
17 And woe to them that are with child, and that give suck in those days.
૧૭તે દિવસોમાં જેઓ સગર્ભા હોય અને સ્તનપાન કરાવતી હોય તેઓને અફસોસ છે!
18 But pray ye, that these things happen not in winter.
૧૮તમારું નાસવું શિયાળામાં ન થાય, માટે પ્રાર્થના કરો;
19 For in those days shall be such tribulations, as were not from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, neither shall be.
૧૯કેમ કે તે દિવસોમાં જેવી વિપત્તિ થશે, તેવી વિપત્તિ ઈશ્વરે સૃજેલી સૃષ્ટિના આરંભથી તે આજ સુધી થઈ નથી અને થશે પણ નહિ.
20 And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect which he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
૨૦જો પ્રભુએ તે દિવસોને ઓછા કર્યા ન હોત, તો કોઈ માણસ ન બચત; પણ જેઓને તેમણે પસંદ કર્યા તેઓને માટે તેમણે આ દિવસોને ટૂંકા કર્યા છે.
21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; lo, he is here: do not believe.
૨૧તે વેળાએ જો કોઈ તમને કહે કે, જુઓ, અહીં ખ્રિસ્ત છે; કે જુઓ, તે ત્યાં છે, તો માનશો નહિ.
22 For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets, and they shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce (if it were possible) even the elect.
૨૨કેમ કે નકલી ખ્રિસ્તો તથા જૂઠાં પ્રબોધકો ઊઠશે; તેઓ ચમત્કારિક ચિહ્નો તથા આશ્ચર્યકર્મો કરી દેખાડશે, એ માટે કે, જો બની શકે તો, તેઓ પસંદ કરેલાઓને પણ છેતરે.
23 Take you heed therefore; behold I have foretold you all things.
૨૩તમે સાવધાન રહો; જુઓ, મેં તમને સઘળું અગાઉથી કહ્યું છે.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light.
૨૪પણ તે દિવસોમાં, એ વિપત્તિ પછી, સૂર્ય અંધકારરૂપ થઈ જશે, અને ચંદ્ર પોતાનું અજવાળું નહિ આપે,
25 And the stars of heaven shall be falling down, and the powers that are in heaven, shall be moved.
૨૫આકાશના તારાઓ ખરવા લાગશે; અને આકાશમાંના પરાક્રમો હલાવાશે.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with great power and glory.
૨૬ત્યારે તેઓ માણસના દીકરાને ભરપૂર પરાક્રમ તથા મહિમાસહિત વાદળામાં આવતા જોશે.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
૨૭ત્યારે તે પોતાના સ્વર્ગદૂતોને મોકલીને પૃથ્વીના છેડાથી આકાશના છેડા સુધી, ચારે દિશાથી પોતાના પસંદ કરેલાઓને એકઠા કરશે.
28 Now of the fig tree learn ye a parable. When the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves are come forth, you know that summer is very near.
૨૮હવે અંજીરી પરથી તેનું દ્રષ્ટાંત શીખો; જયારે તેની ડાળી કુમળી જ હોય છે અને પાંદડાં ફૂટી નીકળે છે, ત્યારે તમે જાણો છો કે ઉનાળો પાસે છે.
29 So you also when you shall see these things come to pass, know ye that it is very nigh, even at the doors.
૨૯એમ જ તમે પણ જયારે આ બધું થતું જુઓ, ત્યારે તમારે જાણવું કે, ખ્રિસ્ત પાસે એટલે બારણા આગળ જ છે.
30 Amen I say to you, that this generation shall not pass, until all these things be done.
૩૦હું તમને નિશ્ચે કહું છું કે આ બધાં પૂરાં થાય ત્યાં સુધી આ પેઢી મરણ પામશે નહિ.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away.
૩૧આકાશ તથા પૃથ્વી નાશ પામશે, પણ મારી વાતો પૂર્ણ થયા વિના રહેશે નહિ.
32 But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.
૩૨પણ તે દિવસો તથા તે ઘડી સંબંધી પિતા વગર કોઈ જાણતું નથી, આકાશમાંના સ્વર્ગદૂતો નહિ અને દીકરો પણ નહિ.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray. For ye know not when the time is.
૩૩સાવધાન રહો, જાગતા રહીને પ્રાર્થના કરો; કેમ કે એ સમય ક્યારે આવશે તે તમે જાણતા નથી.
34 Even as a man who going into a far country, left his house; and gave authority to his servants over every work, and commanded the porter to watch.
૩૪તે આ પ્રમાણે છે કે જાણે કોઈ પરદેશમાં મુસાફરી કરનાર માણસે પોતાનું ઘર છોડીને પોતાના ચાકરોને અધિકાર આપીને, એટલે પ્રત્યેકને પોતપોતાનું કામ સોંપીને, દરવાનને પણ જાગતા રહેવાની આજ્ઞા આપી હોય.
35 Watch ye therefore, (for you know not when the lord of the house cometh: at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning, )
૩૫માટે તમે જાગતા રહો; કેમ કે તમે જાણતા નથી કે ઘરનો માલિક ક્યારે આવશે, સાંજે, મધરાતે, મરઘો બોલતી વખતે કે સવારે!
36 Lest coming on a sudden, he find you sleeping.
૩૬એમ ન થાય કે તે અચાનક આવીને તમને ઊંઘતા જુએ.
37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch.
૩૭અને જે હું તમને કહું છું તે સર્વને કહું છું કે, ‘જાગતા રહો.’”
