Malachi 2
1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is to you.
१“आणि आता, याजकांनो, हा आदेश तुमच्यासाठी आहे.
2 If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory to my name, saith the Lord of hosts: I will send poverty upon you, and will curse your blessings, yea I will curse them, because you have not laid it to heart.
२सेनाधीश परमेश्वर म्हणतो, जर तुम्ही ऐकले नाही, आणि माझ्या नावाला महिमा देण्याचे तुम्ही आपल्या हृदयांत आणले नाही, तर मी तुम्हावर शाप पाठवीन आणि तुमच्या आशीर्वादांना शापीत करीन, खचित मी त्यास आधीच शाप दिला आहे. कारण तू माझ्या आज्ञा आपल्या हृदयात पाळत नाहीस.
3 Behold, I will cast the shoulder to you, and I will scatter upon your face the dung of your solemnities, and it shall take you away with it.
३पाहा! मी तुमच्या वंशजांना शिक्षा करीन आणि तुमच्या यज्ञपशूंचे शेण मी तुमच्या तोंडावर फाशीन, आणि त्याबरोबर तुम्हासही फेकून देण्यात येईल.
4 And you shall know that I sent you this commandment, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
४आणि तेव्हा तुम्हास कळेल की, माझा करार लेवी बरोबर असावा ह्यास्तव मी या आज्ञा तुम्हाकडे पाठवल्या आहेत,” असे सेनाधीश परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace: and I gave him fear: and he feared me, and he was afraid before my name.
५“लेवीबरोबर केलेला माझा करार हा जीवनाचा व शांतीचा होता, आणि त्याने माझा सन्मान करावा ह्यासाठी मी त्यास तो दिला. त्यांनी मला सन्मानित केले आणि माझ्या नावाचे भय त्यास वाटले.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace, and in equity, and turned many away from iniquity.
६खरे शिक्षण त्याच्या मुखात होते आणि त्याच्या ओठांत अनीती आढळली नव्हती. शांतीने आणि सरळपणाने तो माझ्यात चालला, आणि त्याने अन्यायापासून पुष्कळांना फिरवले.
7 For the lips of the priest shall keep knowledge, and they shall seek the law at his mouth: because he is the angel of the Lord of hosts.
७कारण याजकांच्या ओठांनी ज्ञान राखावे, आणि लोकांनी त्याच्या मुखाद्वारे शिक्षण शोधावे, कारण तो सेनाधीश परमेश्वराचा दूत असा आहे.”
8 But you have departed out of the way, and have caused many to stumble at the law: you have made void the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
८“परंतु तुम्ही सत्याच्या मार्गावरून फिरले आहात. तुम्ही अनेक लोकांस नियमशास्राविषयी अडखळण्याचे कारण झाले आहात. लेवीचा करार तुम्ही भ्रष्ट केला आहे.” सेनाधीश परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.
9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible, and base before all people, as you have not kept my ways, and have accepted persons in the law.
९“ह्याबद्दल मी देखील तुला तिरस्कारणीय आणि सर्व लोकांसमोर नीच असे करीन. कारण तू माझे मार्ग पाळले नाहीत आणि नियमशास्त्र पाळण्यात पक्षपात केला आहे.”
10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why then doth every one of us despise his brother, violating the covenant of our fathers?
१०आम्हास एकच पिता नाही काय? एकाच देवाने आपल्याला निर्माण केले नाही काय? मग आम्ही आपापल्या भावाविरुद्ध विश्वासघात करून आपल्याच पूर्वजांचा करार का मोडतो?
11 Juda hath transgressed, and abomination hath been committed in Israel, and in Jerusalem: for Juda hath profaned the holiness of the Lord, which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange God.
११यहूदाने विश्वासघात केला आणि यरूशलेम व इस्राएलमध्ये तिरस्कारणीय गोष्टी केल्या आहेत. यहूदाने परमेश्वरास प्रिय असलेले पवित्र स्थान विटाळवीले आणि परक्या देवाच्या कन्येशी लग्न केले आहे.
12 The Lord will cut off the man that hath done this, both the master, and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering to the Lord of hosts.
१२जो कोणी मनुष्य असे करतो आणि जो कोणी सेनाधीश परमेश्वरास अर्पण करतो त्यालाही परमेश्वर याकोबाच्या डेऱ्यातून काढून टाकील.
13 And this again have you done, you have covered the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping, and bellowing, so that I have no more a regard to sacrifice, neither do I accept any atonement at your hands.
१३आणखी तुम्ही परमेश्वराची वेदी आसवांनी, रडण्यांनी, उसासे टाकून झाकून टाकता, म्हणून तो अर्पण मान्य करत नाही आणि ते तुमच्या हातातून संतोषाने स्विकारत नाही.
14 And you have said: For what cause? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee, and the wife of thy youth, whom thou hast despised: yet she was thy partner, and the wife of thy covenant.
१४तुम्ही म्हणता, “असे का नाही?” कारण तुझ्यामध्ये व तुझ्या तारूण्यातल्या स्त्रीमध्ये परमेश्वर साक्षीदार आहे. ती तर तुझी सहचारिणी असून व तुझ्या कराराची पत्नी असून तिच्याशी तू विश्वासघाताने वागला आहेस.
15 Did not one make her, and she is the residue of his spirit? And what doth one seek, but the seed of God? Keep then your spirit, and despise not the wife of thy youth.
१५आणि त्याच्या जवळ आत्म्याचे शेष होते तरी त्याने एक केले नाही काय? आणि त्याने तुम्हास एक का केले? कारण तो ईश्वरीय संततीची आशा बाळगत होता. म्हणून तुम्ही आपल्या आत्म्याचे रक्षण करा, आणि कोणीही आपल्या तरूणपणाच्या पत्नी सोबत विश्वासघात करू नये.
16 When thou shalt hate her put her away, saith the Lord the God of Israel: but iniquity shall cover his garment, saith the Lord of hosts, keep your spirit, and despise not.
१६इस्राएलचा देव परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “घटस्फोटाचा मला तिटकारा आहे आणि त्याचाही जो आपल्या वस्राबरोबर म्हणजे पत्नीबरोबर हिंसेने वागतो त्याचाही मला तिटकार आहे. सेनाधीश परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, यास्तव तुम्ही आपल्या आत्म्याचे रक्षण करा आणि अविश्वासू असू नका.”
17 You have wearied the Lord with your words, and you said: Wherein have we wearied him? In that you say: Every one that doth evil, is good in the sight of the Lord, and such please him: or surely where is the God of judgment?
१७तुम्ही आपल्या शब्दांनी परमेश्वरास कंटाळविले आहे. परंतु तुम्ही म्हणता, त्यास आम्ही कशाने कंटाळविले आहे? तुम्ही म्हणता प्रत्येक दुष्कर्मी परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीत चांगला आहे, आणि त्यास त्याच्यात आनंद आहे. किंवा न्यायी देव कोठे आहे? असे म्हणून तुम्ही त्यास कंटाळविले आहे.
