Luke 10
1 And after these things the Lord appointed also other seventy-two: and he sent them two and two before his face into every city and place whither he himself was to come.
Agora, depois destas coisas, o Senhor também nomeou setenta outros setenta, e os enviou dois a dois à sua frente para cada cidade e lugar onde ele estava prestes a vir.
2 And he said to them: The harvest indeed is great, but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send labourers into his harvest.
Então ele lhes disse: “A colheita é realmente abundante, mas os operários são poucos. Portanto, orem ao Senhor da colheita, para que ele possa enviar operários para sua colheita.
3 Go: Behold I send you as lambs among wolves.
Siga seus caminhos. Eis que eu vos envio como cordeiros entre lobos.
4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes; and salute no man by the way.
Não carregue bolsa, nem carteira, nem sandálias. Não cumprimentem ninguém no caminho.
5 Into whatsoever house you enter, first say: Peace be to this house.
Em qualquer casa em que você entrar, diga primeiro: “Que a paz esteja com esta casa”.
6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him; but if not, it shall return to you.
Se um filho da paz estiver lá, sua paz descansará sobre ele; mas se não estiver, ela voltará para você.
7 And in the same house, remain, eating and drinking such things as they have: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Remove not from house to house.
Permaneça naquela mesma casa, comendo e bebendo as coisas que eles dão, pois o trabalhador é digno de seu salário. Não vá de casa em casa.
8 And into what city soever you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.
Em qualquer cidade que você entre e eles o recebam, coma as coisas que lhe são colocadas diante de você.
9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say to them: The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
Cure os doentes que estão lá e diga-lhes: “O Reino de Deus chegou perto de você”.
10 But into whatsoever city you enter, and they receive you not, going forth into the streets thereof, say:
Mas em qualquer cidade em que você entrar e eles não o receberem, saia para suas ruas e diga,
11 Even the very dust of your city that cleaveth to us, we wipe off against you. Yet know this, that the kingdom of God is at hand.
'Mesmo o pó de sua cidade que se agarra a nós, nós limpamos contra você'. No entanto, saiba que o Reino de Deus se aproximou de você'.
12 I say to you, it shall be more tolerable at that day for Sodom, than for that city.
Digo-lhes, será mais tolerável naquele dia para Sodoma do que para aquela cidade.
13 Woe to thee, Corozain, woe to thee, Bethsaida. For if in Tyre and Sidon had been wrought the mighty works that have been wrought in you, they would have done penance long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Ai de você, Bethsaida! Pois se as obras poderosas tivessem sido feitas em Tyre e Sidon que foram feitas em você, eles já se teriam arrependido há muito tempo, sentados em saco e cinzas.
14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgement, than for you.
Mas será mais tolerável para Tyre e Sidon no julgamento do que para você.
15 And thou, Capharnaum, which art exalted unto heaven, thou shalt be thrust down to hell. (Hadēs g86)
Você, Cafarnaum, que está exaltado ao céu, será levado para o Hades. (Hadēs g86)
16 He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.
Quem vos ouve, ouve-me, e quem vos rejeita, rejeita-me a mim. Quem me rejeita, rejeita aquele que me enviou”.
17 And the seventy-two returned with joy, saying: Lord, the devils also are subject to us in thy name.
Os setenta retornaram com alegria, dizendo: “Senhor, até os demônios estão sujeitos a nós em teu nome”!
18 And he said to them: I saw Satan like lightening falling from heaven.
Ele disse a eles: “Eu vi Satanás ter caído do céu como um raio.
19 Behold, I have given you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and upon all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall hurt you.
Eis que vos dou autoridade para pisar serpentes e escorpiões, e sobre todo o poder do inimigo”. Nada lhe fará mal de forma alguma.
20 But yet rejoice not in this, that spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice in this, that your names are written in heaven.
No entanto, não se alegrem com isso, que os espíritos estão sujeitos a vocês, mas alegrem-se que seus nomes estão escritos no céu”.
21 In that same hour, he rejoiced in the Holy Ghost, and said: I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to little ones. Yea, Father, for so it hath seemed good in thy sight.
Naquela mesma hora, Jesus rejubilou no Espírito Santo e disse: “Eu te agradeço, ó Pai, Senhor do céu e da terra, que escondeste estas coisas dos sábios e compreensivos, e as revelaste às crianças pequenas. Sim, Padre, pois assim foi agradável aos seus olhos”.
22 All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and to whom the Son will reveal him.
Voltando aos discípulos, ele disse: “Todas as coisas me foram entregues por meu Pai”. Ninguém sabe quem é o Filho, exceto o Pai, e quem é o Pai, exceto o Filho, e aquele a quem o Filho deseja revelá-lo”.
23 And turning to his disciples, he said: Blessed are the eyes that see the things which you see.
Voltando aos discípulos, ele disse em particular: “Abençoados sejam os olhos que vêem as coisas que você vê,
24 For I say to you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things that you see, and have not seen them; and to hear the things that you hear, and have not heard them.
pois eu lhe digo que muitos profetas e reis desejavam ver as coisas que você vê, e não as viram, e ouvir as coisas que você ouve, e não as ouviu”.
25 And behold a certain lawyer stood up, tempting him, and saying, Master, what must I do to possess eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
Eis que um certo advogado se levantou e o testou, dizendo: “Professor, o que devo fazer para herdar a vida eterna”? (aiōnios g166)
26 But he said to him: What is written in the law? how readest thou?
Ele disse a ele: “O que está escrito na lei? Como você a lê?”
27 He answering, said: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind: and thy neighbour as thyself.
Ele respondeu: “Amarás o Senhor teu Deus com todo teu coração, com toda tua alma, com todas as tuas forças e com toda tua mente; e teu próximo como a ti mesmo”.
28 And he said to him: Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
Ele lhe disse: “Você respondeu corretamente”. Faça isto, e viverá”.
29 But he willing to justify himself, said to Jesus: And who is my neighbour?
Mas ele, desejando se justificar, perguntou a Jesus: “Quem é meu próximo?
30 And Jesus answering, said: A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who also stripped him, and having wounded him went away, leaving him half dead.
Jesus respondeu: “Um certo homem descia de Jerusalém para Jericó, e caiu entre ladrões, que o despojaram e espancaram, e partiu, deixando-o meio morto.
31 And it chanced, that a certain priest went down the same way: and seeing him, passed by.
Por acaso, um certo padre estava descendo por ali. Quando o viu, ele passou pelo outro lado.
32 In like manner also a Levite, when he was near the place and saw him, passed by.
Da mesma forma, também um levita, quando chegou ao local e o viu, passou pelo outro lado.
33 But a certain Samaritan being on his journey, came near him; and seeing him, was moved with compassion.
Mas um certo samaritano, enquanto viajava, chegou onde ele estava. Quando ele o viu, ficou comovido de compaixão,
34 And going up to him, bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine: and setting him upon his own beast, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
veio até ele, e amarrou suas feridas, derramando óleo e vinho. Ele o colocou em seu próprio animal, levou-o para uma pousada e cuidou dele.
35 And the next day he took out two pence, and gave to the host, and said: Take care of him; and whatsoever thou shalt spend over and above, I, at my return, will repay thee.
No dia seguinte, quando ele partiu, ele tirou dois denários, deu-os ao anfitrião, e disse-lhe: “Cuide dele. O que quer que você gaste além disso, eu lhe pagarei quando eu voltar”.
36 Which of these three, in thy opinion, was neighbour to him that fell among the robbers?
Agora, qual destes três você acha que parecia ser um vizinho para ele que caiu entre os ladrões”?
37 But he said: He that shewed mercy to him. And Jesus said to him: Go, and do thou in like manner.
Ele disse: “Aquele que demonstrou misericórdia para com ele”. Então Jesus lhe disse: “Vá e faça o mesmo”.
38 Now it came to pass as they went, that he entered into a certain town: and a certain woman named Martha, received him into her house.
Ao seguirem seu caminho, ele entrou em uma certa aldeia, e uma certa mulher chamada Martha o recebeu em sua casa.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, who sitting also at the Lord’s feet, heard his word.
Ela tinha uma irmã chamada Maria, que também se sentou aos pés de Jesus e ouviu sua palavra.
40 But Martha was busy about much serving. Who stood and said: Lord, hast thou no care that my sister hath left me alone to serve? speak to her therefore, that she help me.
Mas Marta estava distraída com muito serviço, e ela se aproximou dele e disse: “Senhor, não te importa que minha irmã me tenha deixado para servir sozinha? Peça-lhe, portanto, que me ajude”.
41 And the Lord answering, said to her: Martha, Martha, thou art careful, and art troubled about many things:
Jesus lhe respondeu: “Martha, Martha, você está ansiosa e perturbada com muitas coisas,
42 But one thing is necessary. Mary hath chosen the best part, which shall not be taken away from her.
mas uma coisa é necessária. Maria escolheu a parte boa, que não lhe será tirada”.
