Joshua 13
1 Josue was old, and far advanced in years, and the Lord said to him: Thou art grown old, and advanced in age, and there is a very large country left, which is not yet divided by lot:
Era Josué ya viejo y entrado en años cuando Yahvé le dijo: “Eres ya viejo, y de edad avanzada y queda todavía muchísima tierra por conquistar.
2 To wit, all Galilee, Philistia, and all Gessuri.
He aquí la tierra que aún queda: todos los distritos de los filisteos, y todos los de Gesur,
3 From the troubled river, that watereth Egypt, unto the borders of Accaron northward: the land of Chanaan, which is divided among the lords of the Philistines, the Gazites, the Azotians, the Ascalonites, the Gethites, and the Accronites.
desde el Schihor, que corre al oriente de Egipto, hasta el territorio de Acarón, al norte —que se considera como de los cananeos—, los cinco príncipes de los filisteos, el de Gaza, el de Azoto, el de Ascalón, el de Gat, el de Acarón, y al sur los aveos;
4 And on the south side are the Hevites, all the land of Chanaan, and Maara of the Sidonians as far as Apheca, and the borders of the Amorrhite,
todo el país de los cananeos, desde Meará, que es de los sidonios, hasta Afee, hasta el territorio de los amorreos;
5 And his confines. The country also of Libanus towards the east from Baalgad under mount Hermon to the entering into Emath.
el país de los gebalitas, y todo el Líbano al oriente, desde Baalgad al pie del monte Hermón, hasta la entrada de Hamat;
6 Of all that dwell in the mountains from Libanus, to the waters of Maserephoth, and all the Sidonians. I am he that will cut them off from before the face of the children of Israel. So let their land come in as a part of the inheritance of Israel, as I have commanded thee.
todos los moradores de la montaña desde el Líbano hasta Misrefot Mayim, todos los sidonios. Yo los arrojaré delante de los hijos de Israel; tú entre tanto, repartirás su país por suerte a Israel para herencia suya, como te lo he mandado.
7 And now divide the land in possession to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe of Manasses,
Ahora reparte este país como herencia a las nueve tribus y a la mitad de la tribu de Manasés.
8 With whom Ruben and Gad have possessed the land, which Moses the servant of the Lord delivered to them beyond the river Jordan, on the east side.
La otra mitad (de Manasés), con los rubenitas y los gaditas, obtuvieron ya su porción, la que les dio Moisés al otro lado del Jordán, en la parte oriental, según se la entregó Moisés, siervo de Yahvé,
9 From Aroer, which is upon the bank of the torrent Amen, and in the midst of the valley and all the plains of Medaba, as far as Dibon:
desde Aroer, situado a orillas del río Arnón, y de la ciudad que está en medio del valle, toda la llanura de Medebá hasta Dibón;
10 And all the cities of Sehon, king of the Amorrhites, who reigned in Hesebon, unto the borders of the children of Ammon.
todas las ciudades de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinó en Hesbón, hasta el territorio de los hijos de Ammón;
11 And Galaad, and the borders of Gessuri and Machati, and all mount Hermon, and all Basan as far as Salecha,
Galaad, con el territorio de Gesur y Maacat, todo el monte Hermón y Basan entero, hasta Salea;
12 All the kingdom of Og in Basan, who reigned in Astaroth and Edrai, he was of the remains of the Raphaims: and Moses overthrew and destroyed them.
todo el reino de Og, en Basan, el cual reinó en Astarot y en Edreí —fue el del resto de los gigantes—. Moisés los derrotó y los desposeyó.
13 And the children of Israel would not destroy Gessuri and Machati: and they have dwelt in the midst of Israel, until this present day.
Pero los hijos de Israel no desposeyeron a los gesureos, ni a los maacateos, sino que los gesureos y los maacateos habitan en medio de los hijos de Israel hasta el día de hoy.
14 But to the tribe of Levi he gave no possession: but the sacrifices and victims of the Lord God of Israel, are his inheritance, as he spoke to him.
Solamente a la tribu de Leví no le dio herencia alguna. Su herencia son los sacrificios ígneos ofrecidos a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, como Él se lo ha prometido.
15 And Moses gave a possession to the children of Ruben according to their kindreds.
Moisés había dado a la tribu de los hijos de Rubén (su herencia) según sus familias.
16 And their border was from Aroer, which is on the bank of the torrent Arnon, and in the midst of the valley of the same torrent: all the plain, that leadeth to Medaba,
Les fue dado el territorio desde Aroer, situada a orillas del río Arnón y de la ciudad que está en medio del valle, toda la llanura contigua a Medebá;
17 And Hesebon, and all their villages, which are in the plains. Dibon also, and Bamothbaal, and the town of Baalmaon,
Hesbón con todas sus ciudades que están en la llanura; Dibón, Bamot-Baal, Bet-Baalmeón,
18 And Jassa, and Cidimoth, and Mephaath,
Jahsa, Quedemot, Mefaat,
19 And Cariathaim, and Sabama, and Sarathasar in the mountain of the valley.
Kiryataim. Sibmá y Zaret-Hasáhar en el monte del valle;
20 Bethphogor and Asedoth, Phasga and Bethiesimoth,
Betfegor, con las vertientes del Fasga, Bet-Jesimot,
21 And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdoms of Sehon king of the Amorrhites, that reigned in Hesebon, whom Moses slew with the princes of Madian: Hevi, and Recem, and Sur and Hur, and Rebe, dukes of Sehon inhabitants of the land.
todas las ciudades de la llanura y todo el reino de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinaba en Hesbón, a quien derrotó Moisés, con los príncipes de Madián, Eví, Requem, Zur, Hur y Reba, príncipes de Sehón, que habitaban en el país.
22 Balaam also the son of Beer the soothsayer, the children of Israel slew with the sword among the rest that were slain.
Los hijos de Israel mataron también a espada a Balaam, hijo de Beor, el adivino con los otros que pasaron a cuchillo.
23 And the river Jordan was the herder of the children of Ruben. This is the possession of the Rubenites, by their kindreds, of cities and villages.
El Jordán, con su territorio, era la frontera de los hijos de Rubén. Tal fue la porción, las ciudades y sus aldeas, de los hijos de Rubén, según sus familias.
24 And Moses gave to the tribe of Gad and to his children by their kindreds a possession, of which this is the division.
También a la tribu de Gad, a los hijos de Gad dio Moisés (su porción) conforme a sus familias.
25 The border of Jaser, and all the cities of Galaad, and half the land of the children of Ammon: as far as Aroer which is over against Rabba:
Y fue el territorio de ellos Jaser, todas las ciudades de Galaad, la mitad del país de los hijos de Ammón, hasta Aroer, que está frente a Rabbá;
26 And from Hesebon unto Ramoth, Masphe and Betonim: and from Manaim unto the borders of Dabir.
además desde Hesbon hasta Ramot-Masfá, y Betonim; y desde Mahanaim hasta el territorio de Dabir;
27 And in the valley Betharan and Bethnemra, and Socoth, and Saphon the other part of the kingdom of Sehon king of Hesebon: the limit of this also is the Jordan, as far as the uttermost part of the sea of Cenereth beyond the Jordan on the east side.
y en el valle, Betharán, Betnimrá, Sucot, y Safón, el resto del reino de Sehón, rey de Hesbón, el Jordán con sus riberas, hasta el borde del Mar de Kinéret al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente.
28 This is the possession of the children of Gad by their families, their cities, and villages.
Esta fue la porción, las ciudades con sus aldeas, de los hijos de Gad, según sus familias.
29 He gave also to the half tribe of Manasses and his children possession according to their kindreds,
Moisés dio igualmente a la media tribu de Manasés (su parte): La media tribu de los hijos de Manasés recibió, según sus familias (esta herencia):
30 The beginning whereof is this: from Manaim all Basan, and all the kingdoms of Og king of Basan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Basan, threescore towns.
Fue su territorio desde Mahanaim, todo Basan, todo el reino de Og, rey de Basan, y todas las aldeas de Jaír, en Basan, sesenta ciudades.
31 And half Galaad, and Astaroth, and Edrai, cities of the kingdom of Og in Basan: to the children of Machir, the son of Manasses, to one? half of the children of Machir according to their kindreds.
La mitad de Galaad, juntamente con Astarot y Edreí, ciudades del reino de Og, en Basan, pertenecían a los hijos de Maquir, hijo de Manasés; para la mitad de los hijos de Maquir, según sus familias.
32 This possession Moses divided in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, over against Jericho on the east side.
Esto es lo que Moisés repartió en las campiñas de Moab, al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente de Jericó.
33 But to the tribe of Levi he gave no possession: because the Lord the God of Israel himself is their possession, as he spoke to them.
Moisés no dio porción a la tribu de Leví. Su porción es Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, conforme Él se lo ha dicho.
