John 9
1 And Jesus passing by, saw a man, who was blind from his birth:
୧ଜୀସୁ ହାଜିମାଚାଟି ର଼ ଜାର୍ନାଟିଏ କା଼ଣାଇଁ ବେଟାଆ଼ତେସି ।
2 And his disciples asked him: Rabbi, who hath sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind?
୨ତାନି ସୀସୁୟାଁ ୱେଚେରି, “ଗୂରୁ, ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ପା଼ପୁ କିହାଲିଏ ଈୱାସି କା଼ଣା ଆ଼ହାନା ଜାର୍ନା ଆ଼ତେସି, ତା଼ନୁ କି ତାମି ଇୟା ଆ଼ବା ପା଼ପୁ କିତାକି?”
3 Jesus answered: Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents; but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
୩ଜୀସୁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ଈୱାସି କି ତାମି ଇୟା ଆ଼ବା ପା଼ପୁ କିତାକି ଆ଼ଏ, ସାମା ମାହାପୂରୁତି କାମା ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ଈୱାଣି ତା଼ଣାଟି ତ଼ସ୍ପିଆ଼ନେ, ଏ଼ଦାଆଁତାକି ଈଦି ଆ଼ହାମାନେ ।
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, whilst it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
୪ଦିନା ମାଞ୍ଜା ମାଞ୍ଜାନା, ନାଙ୍ଗେ ପାଣ୍ତାମାଞ୍ଜାନାଣି କାମା କିନାୟିମାନେ; ଏମିନି ବେ଼ଲାତା ଆମ୍ବାଆସି କାମା କିହାଲି ଆ଼ଡଅସି, ଇଲେତି ଲା଼ଆଁ ୱା଼ହିମାନେ ।
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
୫ନା଼ନୁ ଏଚେ଼ପାତେକା ଦାର୍ତିତା ମାଇଁ, ଏଚେ଼ପାତେକା ନା଼ନୁ ଦାର୍ତିତି ଉଜେଡ଼ିତେଏଁ ।”
6 When he had said these things, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and spread the clay on his eyes,
୬ଈ କାତା ଏଲେଇଞ୍ଜାନା, ଜୀସୁ ଇର୍ଆତା ହୂପାନା ହୂପ୍କା ତଲେ କା଼ଦ କିତେସି; ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ତାନି ରୀ କାଣ୍କାଣାଁ ରୁବିତେସି ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି,
7 And said to him: Go, wash in the pool of Siloe, which is interpreted, Sent. He went therefore, and washed, and he came seeing.
୭ହାଲାମୁ “ସିଲହ ବାନ୍ଦାତା ମୂମ୍ବୁ ନର୍ହା ୱା଼ମୁ ।” ଏମ୍ବାଟିଏ ଏ଼ୱାସି ହାଜାନା ନର୍ହା କଡାନା ୱେଣ୍ତା ୱା଼ହିମାଚାଟି ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିତେସି ।
8 The neighbours therefore, and they who had seen him before that he was a beggar, said: Is not this he that sat and begged? Some said: This is he.
୮ତାନି ପା଼ଡ଼ିତାରି, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏମିନିଗାଟାରି ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ନ଼କେଏ ରୀସ୍ପି ମାଚାଣି ମେସାମାଚେରି, ଏ଼ୱାରି ୱେଚେରି, “ଈୱାସି ଏ଼ନାଆଁ କୁଗାନା ରୀସ୍ପି ମାଚେସି ଏ଼ୱାସି ଆ଼ଏକି?”
9 But others said: No, but he is like him. But he said: I am he.
୯ଏଚରଜା଼ଣା ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ଈୱାସିଏ ଏ଼ୱାସି;” ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏଚରଜା଼ଣା ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ଆ଼ଏ, ଏ଼ୱାଣିଲେହେଁ ତାସି ।” ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ନା଼ନୁଏ ଏ଼ୱାତେଏଁ ।”
10 They said therefore to him: How were thy eyes opened?
୧୦ଲ଼କୁ ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ୱେଚେରି, “ଆତିହିଁ, ନୀନୁ ନୀଏଁ ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିମାଞ୍ଜି?”
11 He answered: That man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me: Go to the pool of Siloe, and wash. And I went, I washed, and I see.
୧୧ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ଆମ୍ବାଆରାଇଁ ଜୀସୁ ଇନେରି, ଏ଼ୱାସି ଇର୍ଆତି କା଼ଦ କିହାନା ନା଼ କାଣ୍କାଣାଁ ରୁବାତେସି ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ସିଲହତା ହାଜାହାଁ ମୂମ୍ବୁ ନର୍ହା କଡାମୁ ଏଲେଇଞ୍ଜାତେସି; ଏଚେଟିଏ ନା଼ନୁ ହାଜାନା ମୂମ୍ବୁ ନର୍ହାଲିଏ ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିତେଏଁ ।”
12 And they said to him: Where is he? He saith: I know not.
୧୨“ଏ଼ୱାସି ଆମ୍ବିୟା?” ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ୱେଚେରି, ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ନା଼ନୁ, ପୁଞ୍ଜାହିଲଅଁ ।”
13 They bring him that had been blind to the Pharisees.
୧୩ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ନ଼କେଏ କା଼ଣା ମାଚେସି, ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ପାରୁସିୟାଁ ତା଼ଣା ତାତେରି ।
14 Now it was the sabbath, when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
୧୪ଜୀସୁ ଏମିନି ଦିନା କା଼ଦ କିହାନା ତାନି କାଣ୍କା ନେହିଁ କିହାମାଚେସି, ଏ଼ ଦିନା ଜ଼ମିନି ଦିନା ମାଚେ ।
15 Again therefore the Pharisees asked him, how he had received his sight. But he said to them: He put clay upon my eyes, and I washed, and I see.
୧୫ପାରୁସିୟାଁ ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ୱେଚେରି, ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ଏ଼ୱାସି ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିତେସି? ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ନା଼ କାଣ୍କାଣାଁ ଏ଼ୱାସି ଇଚାଣି କା଼ଦ ରୁବାତେସି, ନା଼ନୁ ହାଜାନା ମୂମ୍ବୁ ନର୍ହାନା ୱା଼ତେଏଁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିମାଇଁ ।”
16 Some therefore of the Pharisees said: This man is not of God, who keepeth not the sabbath. But others said: How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
୧୬ପାରୁସିୟାଁ ତାମି ବିତ୍ରାଟି ଏଚରଜା଼ଣା ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ଏ଼ୱାସି ମାହାପୂରୁ ତା଼ଣାଟି ୱା଼ହାହିଲଅସି, ଇଚିହିଁ ଏ଼ୱାସି ଜ଼ମିନି ଦିନାତି ମା଼ନୱି ଆ଼ହିହିଲଅସି ।” ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏଚରଜା଼ଣା ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ପା଼ପୁ ଲ଼କୁ ଆ଼ହାନା ଇଲେତି କାବାଆ଼ନି କାମା ଏ଼ନିକିଁ କିହାଲି ଆ଼ଡିନେସି?” ଇଲେଆ଼ହିଁ ଏ଼ୱାରି ତାମି ବିତ୍ରା ବା଼ଗା ଆ଼ତେ?
17 They say therefore to the blind man again: What sayest thou of him that hath opened they eyes? And he said: He is a prophet.
୧୭ପାରୁସିୟାଁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ୱେଣ୍ତେ ଏ଼ କା଼ଣାଇଁ ୱେଚେରି, “ଏ଼ୱାସି ନୀ କାଣ୍କା ନେହିଁ କିୟାତେସି, ଏ଼ୱାଣି କାତା ନୀନୁ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ଇଞ୍ଜିମାଞ୍ଜି?” ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଚେସି “ଏ଼ୱାସି ର଼ ମାହାପୂରୁ ଅଣ୍ପୁତି ବ଼ଲୁ ୱେହ୍ନାସି ।”
18 The Jews then did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight,
୧୮ଏ଼ୱାସି ଜାର୍ନାଟିଏ କା଼ଣା ମାଚେସି ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ନୀଏଁ, ଈ ହା଼ଡା ତାମି ଇୟା ଆ଼ବାତି ୱେନାଆ ପାତେକା, ଜୀହୁଦିୟାଁ ନାମାଆତେରି ।
19 And asked them, saying: Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then doth he now see?
୧୯ଏ଼ୱାରି ତାମି ଇୟା ଆ଼ବାତି ୱେଚେରି, “ମୀ ଆମିନି ମୀର୍ଏସି କା଼ଣା ଆ଼ହାନା ଜାର୍ନା ଆ଼ହାମାଚେସି ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ଏଲେଇଣ୍ମ୍ବିତେରି ଈୱାସି ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ଏ଼ ମୀ ମୀର୍ଏସି? ଆତିହିଁ ଏ଼ୱାସି ନୀଏଁ ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିମାନେସି?”
20 His parents answered them, and said: We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
୨୦ଏମ୍ବାଟିଏ ତାମି ଇୟା ଆ଼ବା ଏଲେଇଚୁ, “ହାଅ, ଏ଼ୱାସି ମା଼ ମୀର୍ଏସି, ଏ଼ୱାସି କା଼ଣା ଆ଼ହାନା ଜାର୍ନା ଆ଼ହାମାଚେସି ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାମାନମି;
21 But how he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: ask himself: he is of age, let him speak for himself.
୨୧ସାମା ଏ଼ୱାସି ନୀଏଁ ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିମାନେସି, ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାହିଲଅମି, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ମେସ୍ପି କିହାମାନେସି, ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ଜିକେଏ ପୁଞ୍ଜାହିଲଅମି; ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ୱେଞ୍ଜୁ, ଏ଼ୱାସି କାଜାସି ଆ଼ତେସିଏ, ଏ଼ୱାସି ତାନି କାତା ତା଼ନୁଏ ୱେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିନେସି ।”
22 These things his parents said, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had already agreed among themselves, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
୨୨ଏ଼ୱାଣି ତାମି ଇୟା ଆ଼ବା ଜୀହୁଦି ଲ଼କୁତି କାଜାରାଇଁ ଆଜିମାଚାକି ଈ ବାରେ କାତା ୱେସ୍ତୁ, ଏ଼ନାଆଁତାକି ଇଚିହିଁ ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ଜୀସୁଇଁ କ୍ରୀସ୍ତ ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ଇନେସି, ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଜୀହୁଦି ଲ଼କୁତି କୁଟମି ଇଲୁଟି ପେ଼ର୍ୱି ଆ଼ନେ ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ଜୀହୁଦି ଲ଼କୁ ଏ଼ ନ଼କେଏ କାତା ଆ଼ହାମାଚେରି ।
23 Therefore did his parents say: He is of age, ask himself.
୨୩ଏ଼ଦାଆଁତାକି ତାମି ଇୟା ଆ଼ବା ଏଲେଇଚୁ, “ଏ଼ୱାସି କାଜାସି ଆ଼ତେସିଏ, ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ୱେଞ୍ଜୁ ।”
24 They therefore called the man again that had been blind, and said to him: Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.
୨୪ପାରୁସିୟାଁ ଏ଼ ଜାର୍ନାଟିଏ କା଼ଣାଇଁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ୱେଣ୍ତେ ହା଼ଟାନା ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ମାହାପୂରୁଇଁ ଗାୱୁରମି କିହାନା ଏଲେଇନାମୁ, ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ନିଙ୍ଗେ ନେହିଁ କିହାମାଞ୍ଜାନେସି, ଏ଼ୱାସି ର଼ ପା଼ପୁ ଗାଟାସି ଈ କାତା ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାମାନମି ।”
25 He said therefore to them: If he be a sinner, I know not: one thing I know, that whereas I was blind, now I see.
୨୫ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ଏ଼ୱାସି ପା଼ପୁ ଗାଟାସି କି ଆ଼ଏ, ନା଼ନୁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାହିଲଅଁ; ନା଼ନୁ ର଼ କାତା ପୁଞ୍ଜାମାଇଁ; ନା଼ନୁ କା଼ଣା ମାଚେଏଁ, ନୀଏଁ ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିମାଇଁ ।”
26 They said then to him: What did he to thee? How did he open thy eyes?
୨୬ଏ଼ୱାରି ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ଏ଼ୱାସି ନିଙ୍ଗେ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ କିୟାତେସି? ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ଏ଼ୱାସି ନୀ କାଣ୍କା ଦେପି କିୟାତେସି?”
27 He answered them: I have told you already, and you have heard: why would you hear it again? will you also become his disciples?
୨୭ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ନ଼କେଏ ୱେସା ରା଼ହାମାଞ୍ଜାଇଁ, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ମୀରୁ ୱେନାଆତେରି; ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ୱେଣ୍ତେ ଏ଼ନାଆଁତାକି ୱେଞ୍ଜାଲି ଅଣ୍ପିମାଞ୍ଜେରି? ମୀରୁ ଜିକେଏ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ତାନି ସୀସୁ ଆ଼ହାଲି ଅଣ୍ପିମାଞ୍ଜେରି ।”
28 They reviled him therefore, and said: Be thou his disciple; but we are the disciples of Moses.
୨୮ଏ଼ୱାରି ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଲା଼ଗାନା ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ନୀନୁ ତାନି ସୀସୁତି, ସାମା ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ମ଼ସାତି ସୀସୁୟାଁତମି ।
29 We know that God spoke to Moses: but as to this man, we know not from whence he is.
୨୯ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାମାନମି, ମାହାପୂରୁ ମ଼ସାଇଁ କାତା ଆ଼ହାମାଚେସି, ସାମା ଈ ମାଣ୍ସି ଆମ୍ବିଟି ୱା଼ହାମାନେସି, ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାହିଲଅମି ।”
30 The man answered, and said to them: Why, herein is a wonderful thing, that you know not from whence he is, and he hath opened my eyes.
୩୦ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏ଼ୱାରାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ଈଦି ରଣ୍ତି କାବାଆ଼ନି କାତା ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏମ୍ବିଟି ୱା଼ହାମାନେସି, ମୀରୁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାହିଲଅତେରି, ସାମା ଏ଼ୱାସି ନାଙ୍ଗେ କାଣ୍କା ଦେପି କିୟାତେସି ।
31 Now we know that God doth not hear sinners: but if a man be a server of God, and doth his will, him he heareth.
୩୧ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାମାନମି, ମାହାପୂରୁ ପା଼ପୁଗାଟି ଲ଼କୁତି ହା଼ଡା ୱେନଅସି, ଆମିନି ଗାଟାରି ମାହାପୂରୁଇଁ ମା଼ନି କିନେରି ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ତାନି ଅଣ୍ପୁ ତଲେ କାମା କିନେରି, ଏ଼ୱାରି ହା଼ଡାତି ଏ଼ୱାସି ୱେନେସି ।
32 From the beginning of the world it hath not been heard, that any man hath opened the eyes of one born blind. (aiōn g165)
୩୨ତଲି କା଼ଲାଟିଏ ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ଜାର୍ନା କା଼ଣାଇଁ ମେସ୍ପିକିତି କାତା ଏଚେଲା ୱେଣ୍ମ୍ବି ଆ଼ହାହିଲାଆତେ । (aiōn g165)
33 Unless this man were of God, he could not do any thing.
୩୩ଈୱାସି ମାହାପୂରୁ ତା଼ଣାଟି ୱା଼ହା ହିଲାଆତିଁ, ଏ଼ନାଆଁ କିହାଲି ଆ଼ଡାଆତେସିମା ।”
34 They answered, and said to him: Thou wast wholly born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
୩୪ଏ଼ୱାରି ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ପା଼ପୁ ତଲେ ନୀନୁ ଜାର୍ନା ଆ଼ହାନା ପା଼ପୁ ତଲେ ପାଡାଆ଼ତି, ନୀନୁ ମାଙ୍ଗେ ଜା଼ପ୍ହି ମାଞ୍ଜାଦି?” ଏ଼ଦାଆଁତାକି ଏ଼ୱାରି ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଜୀହୁଦି ଲ଼କୁତି କୁଟମି ଇଲୁଟି ପେ଼ର୍ହାତୁସ୍ତେରି ।
35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out: and when he had found him, he said to him: Dost thou believe in the Son of God?
୩୫ଏ଼ୱାରି ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ପେ଼ର୍ହା ମାନେରି, ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ଜୀସୁ ଈ କାତା ୱେଞ୍ଜାନା, ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ମେସାନା ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ନୀନୁ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ମାଣ୍ସି ମୀର୍ଏଣି ତା଼ଣା ନାମିମାଞ୍ଜି?”
36 He answered, and said: Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?
୩୬ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ପ୍ରବୁ, ୱେସ୍ତାମୁ ଏ଼ୱାସି ଆମ୍ବାଆସି, ଆତିହିଁ ନା଼ନୁ ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ନାମିଇଁ ।”
37 And Jesus said to him: Thou hast both seen him; and it is he that talketh with thee.
୩୭ଜୀସୁ ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ନୀନୁ ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ମେସାମାଞ୍ଜି, ନୀ ତଲେ ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ନୀଏଁ କାତା ଆ଼ହିମାନେସି, ଏ଼ୱାସିଏ ।”
38 And he said: I believe, Lord. And falling down, he adored him.
୩୮ଏମ୍ବାଟିଏ ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ନା଼ନୁ ନାମିମାଇଁ, ପ୍ରବୁ!” ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ଜୀସୁ ନ଼କିତା ମେଣ୍ତାକୁତାନା ଜହରା କିତେସି ।
39 And Jesus said: For judgment I am come into this world; that they who see not, may see; and they who see, may become blind.
୩୯ଜୀସୁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ମେହ୍ଆଗାଟି ଲ଼କୁ ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ମେହ୍ନେରି ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ମେହ୍ନି ଲ଼କୁ ଏ଼ନିକିଁ କା଼ଣା ଆ଼ନେରି, ଈ ବିଚାରା କିହାଲି ନା଼ନୁ ଦାର୍ତିତା ୱା଼ହାମାଇଁ ।”
40 And some of the Pharisees, who were with him, heard: and they said unto him: Are we also blind?
୪୦ଏମ୍ବାଆଁ ମାଚି ଏଚରଜା଼ଣା ପାରୁସିୟାଁ ଈ କାତା ୱେଞ୍ଜାନା, ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ଜିକେଏ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ କା଼ଣାୟାଁତମି?”
41 Jesus said to them: If you were blind, you should not have sin: but now you say: We see. Your sin remaineth.
୪୧ଜୀସୁ ଏ଼ୱାରାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “କା଼ଣାୟାଁ ଆ଼ହାମାଚିହିଁ ମୀରୁ ଦ଼ହ ହିଲାଆଗାଟାତେରି ଆ଼ତେରିମା, ସାମା ମେସାଲି ଆ଼ଡିମାନମି ଇଞ୍ଜିମାନାକି ମୀରୁ ହା଼ରେକା ପା଼ପୁତା ମାଞ୍ଜେରି ।”
