< John 19 >

1 Then therefore, Pilate took Jesus, and scourged him.
Bongo Pilato apesaki mitindo ete bakamata Yesu, mpe abetisaki Ye fimbu.
2 And the soldiers platting a crown of thorns, put it upon his head; and they put on him a purple garment.
Basoda basalaki ekoti na banzube mpe balatisaki Ye yango na moto; balatisaki Ye lisusu nzambala ya motane.
3 And they came to him, and said: Hail, king of the Jews; and they gave him blows.
Bazalaki koya koloba na Ye: « Mbote, mokonzi ya Bayuda! » Mpe babandaki kobeta Ye bambata.
4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith to them: Behold, I bring him forth unto you, that you may know that I find no cause in him.
Pilato abimaki lisusu mpe alobaki na bango: — Botala! Nayei na Ye na libanda epai na bino mpo boyeba ete ngai nazwi Ye na mabe moko te.
5 (Jesus therefore came forth, bearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment.) And he saith to them: Behold the Man.
Boye, Yesu abimaki alata ekoti ya nzube mpe nzambala ya motane. Pilato alobaki na bango: — Moto yango, ye oyo!
6 When the chief priests, therefore, and the servants, had seen him, they cried out, saying: Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith to them: Take him you, and crucify him: for I find no cause in him.
Tango kaka bakonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe mpe bakengeli bamonaki Yesu, babandaki koganga: — Baka ye na ekulusu! Baka ye na ekulusu! Kasi Pilato azongisaki: — Bino moko, bokamata ye mpe bobaka ye na ekulusu; ngai nazwi ye na mabe ata moko te.
7 The Jews answered him: We have a law; and according to the law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
Bayuda balobaki na molende nyonso: — Tozali na Mobeko; mpe kolanda Mobeko na biso, asengeli kokufa, pamba te amikomisi Mwana na Nzambe.
8 When Pilate therefore had heard this saying, he feared the more.
Tango Pilato ayokaki maloba wana, abangaki lisusu makasi.
9 And he entered into the hall again, and he said to Jesus: Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
Azongaki lisusu kati na ndako ya moyangeli mpe alobaki na Yesu: — Ozali moto ya mboka nini? Kasi Yesu apesaki ye eyano te.
10 Pilate therefore saith to him: Speakest thou not to me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and I have power to release thee?
Pilato alobaki na Ye: — Boni, oboyi kozongisela ngai eyano? Oyebi te ete ngai nazali na makoki ya kobaka yo na ekulusu mpe ya kotika yo?
11 Jesus answered: Thou shouldst not have any power against me, unless it were given thee from above. Therefore, he that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin.
Yesu alobaki na ye: — Okokaki kozala na bokonzi moko te likolo na Ngai soki epesamelaki yo te wuta na likolo. Yango wana, moto oyo akabi Ngai na maboko na yo asali lisumu monene koleka.
12 And from henceforth Pilate sought to release him. But the Jews cried out, saying: If thou release this man, thou art not Caesar’s friend. For whosoever maketh himself a king, speaketh against Caesar.
Kobanda kaka na ngonga wana, Pilato akomaki koluka nzela ya kotika Yesu; kasi Bayuda babandaki lisusu koganga: — Soki otiki ye, wana ozali na yo moninga ya Sezare te! Pamba te moto nyonso oyo amikomisi mokonzi azali monguna ya Sezare.
13 Now when Pilate had heard these words, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat, in the place that is called Lithostrotos, and in Hebrew Gabbatha.
Tango Pilato ayokaki bongo, amemaki Yesu na libanda mpe avandaki na esambiselo, na esika oyo babengaka, na lokota ya Arami, « Gabata. »
14 And it was the parasceve of the pasch, about the sixth hour, and he saith to the Jews: Behold your king.
Ezalaki mokolo ya suka mpo na kokoma na mokolo ya Pasika, na ngonga ya midi. Pilato alobaki na Bayuda: — Botala mokonzi na bino!
15 But they cried out: Away with him; away with him; crucify him. Pilate saith to them: Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered: We have no king but Caesar.
Kasi babandaki koganga: — Boma ye! Boma ye! Baka ye na ekulusu! Pilato alobaki na bango lisusu: — Nasengeli penza kobaka mokonzi na bino na ekulusu? Bakonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe bazongisaki: — Tozali kaka na Sezare lokola mokonzi, mokonzi mosusu azali te!
16 Then therefore he delivered him to them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him forth.
Pilato akabaki Yesu na maboko na bango mpo ete babaka Ye na ekulusu. Boye, bakamataki Yesu mpe bakendeki na Ye.
17 And bearing his own cross, he went forth to that place which is called Calvary, but in Hebrew Golgotha.
Yesu amemaki, Ye moko, ekulusu na Ye; abimaki na engumba mpe akendeki na esika oyo babengaka, na lokota ya Arami, « Gologota. »
18 Where they crucified him, and with him two others, one on each side, and Jesus in the midst.
Ezalaki na esika yango nde babakaki Yesu na ekulusu, elongo na bato mosusu mibale: moko, na ngambo ya loboko ya mobali ya Yesu; mosusu, na ngambo ya loboko na Ye ya mwasi.
19 And Pilate wrote a title also, and he put it upon the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Pilato akomaki na libaya, makomi oyo atiaki na ekulusu; akomaki: Yesu, moto ya Nazareti, Mokonzi ya Bayuda.
20 This title therefore many of the Jews did read: because the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, in Greek, and in Latin.
Lokola esika oyo babakaki Yesu na ekulusu ezalaki pene ya engumba, Bayuda ebele batangaki makomi yango, pamba te bakomaki yango na lokota ya Ebre, lokota ya latino mpe lokota ya Greki.
21 Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate: Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am the King of the Jews.
Bakonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe balobaki na Pilato: — Osengelaki te kokoma: « Mokonzi ya Bayuda; » osengelaki nde kokoma: « Moto oyo alobaki: ‹ Nazali mokonzi ya Bayuda. › »
22 Pilate answered: What I have written, I have written.
Kasi Pilato azongisaki: — Makambo oyo nakomi ekotikala kaka ndenge wana.
23 The soldiers therefore, when they had crucified him, took his garments, (and they made four parts, to every soldier a part, ) and also his coat. Now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
Sima na basoda kobaka Yesu na ekulusu, bakamataki bilamba na Ye mpe bakabolaki yango na biteni minei: soda moko na moko azwaki eteni moko. Bakamataki mpe nzambala na Ye, oyo ezalaki ya kotongama te, kasi ezalaki kaka elamba moko, kobanda na likolo kino na se.
24 They said then one to another: Let us not cut it, but let us cast lots for it, whose it shall be; that the scripture might be fulfilled, saying: They have parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture they have cast lot. And the soldiers indeed did these things.
Basoda balobanaki bango na bango: — Topasola yango te, kasi tobeta zeke mpo na koyeba soki nani akozwa yango. Esalemaki bongo mpo ete Makomi oyo ekokisama: « Bakabolaki bilamba na ngai kati na bango mpe babetaki zeke mpo na nzambala na ngai. » Ezali makambo wana nde basoda basalaki.
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus, his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalen.
Tala bato oyo batelemaki pene ya ekulusu ya Yesu: Mama na Ye, ndeko mwasi ya mama na Ye, Mari oyo azalaki mwasi ya Klopasi, mpe Mari ya mboka Magidala.
26 When Jesus therefore had seen his mother and the disciple standing whom he loved, he saith to his mother: Woman, behold thy son.
Tango Yesu amonaki ete moyekoli oyo azalaki kolinga atelemi pembeni ya mama na Ye, alobaki na mama na Ye: — Mwasi, tala mwana na yo!
27 After that, he saith to the disciple: Behold thy mother. And from that hour, the disciple took her to his own.
Mpe alobaki na moyekoli yango: — Tala mama na yo! Boye, kobanda na tango wana, moyekoli yango azwaki mama ya Yesu mpo ete akoma kovanda na ndako na ye.
28 Afterwards, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said: I thirst.
Sima na yango, wana Yesu asosolaki ete makambo nyonso esili kosalema, abimisaki maloba oyo mpo ete Makomi ekokisama: — Nayoki posa ya mayi.
29 Now there was a vessel set there full of vinegar. And they, putting a sponge full of vinegar and hyssop, put it to his mouth.
Lokola ezalaki na mbeki moko etonda na vino ya ngayi pembeni ya esika yango, batiaki, na songe ya nzete moko ya izope, eponze moko epola na vino yango ya ngayi mpe batombolaki yango kino na monoko ya Yesu.
30 Jesus therefore, when he had taken the vinegar, said: It is consummated. And bowing his head, he gave up the ghost.
Tango kaka Yesu amelaki vino yango ya ngayi, alobaki: — Nyonso ekokisami. Bongo, akitisaki moto mpe azongisaki molimo na Ye.
31 Then the Jews, (because it was the parasceve, ) that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath day, (for that was a great sabbath day, ) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
Lokola ezalaki mokolo ya komilengela mpo na Saba, mpe lokola Saba yango ezalaki na tina makasi, Bayuda balingaki te ete bibembe etikala na ba-ekulusu na tango ya Saba. Boye, bakendeki kosenga epai ya Pilato ete apesa mitindo ya kobuka makolo ya bibembe oyo ezalaki na likolo ya ba-ekulusu mpe ya kolongola banzoto na bango.
32 The soldiers therefore came; and they broke the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with him.
Basoda bayaki mpe babukaki makolo ya mibali nyonso mibale oyo babakaki na ba-ekulusu elongo na Yesu; babandaki na moko, bongo balekaki na oyo mosusu.
33 But after they were come to Jesus, when they saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.
Wana ekomaki ngala ya makolo ya Yesu, bamonaki ete Yesu amikufelaki; mpe babukaki lisusu te makolo na Ye.
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear opened his side, and immediately there came out blood and water.
Moko kati na basoda atobolaki mopanzi ya Yesu na nzela ya likonga; mpe mbala moko, makila mpe mayi ebimaki na mopanzi yango.
35 And he that saw it, hath given testimony, and his testimony is true. And he knoweth that he saith true; that you also may believe.
Moto oyo azali kopesa litatoli na tina na makambo oyo amonaki yango kosalema na miso na ye, mpe litatoli na ye ezali ya solo; ayebi penza ete azali koloba solo mpo ete bino mpe bondima.
36 For these things were done, that the scripture might be fulfilled: You shall not break a bone of him.
Makambo nyonso wana esalemaki bongo mpo ete Makomi oyo ekokisama: « Bakobuka ata mokuwa na Ye moko te. »
37 And again another scripture saith: They shall look on him whom they pierced.
Eteni mosusu ya Makomi elobi: « Bakotala Ye oyo batobolaki mopanzi. »
38 And after these things, Joseph of Arimathea (because he was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews) besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus. And Pilate gave leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
Sima na makambo wana, Jozefi, moto ya mboka Arimate, oyo azalaki moyekoli ya Yesu, kasi na nkuku mpo ete azalaki kobanga Bayuda, asengaki epai ya Pilato ndingisa ya kokitisa nzoto ya Yesu longwa na ekulusu. Pilato apesaki ye ndingisa yango, mpe Jozefi akendeki mpe akitisaki nzoto ya Yesu.
39 And Nicodemus also came, (he who at the first came to Jesus by night, ) bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
Nikodemi oyo, na ebandeli, akendeki kotala Yesu na butu, ye mpe ayaki; amemaki bakilo pene tuku misato ya mafuta ya mire basangisa na aloe.
40 They took therefore the body of Jesus, and bound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
Bango mibale bakamataki nzoto ya Yesu mpe balingaki yango na maputa ya lino oyo, kati na yango, batiaki mafuta ya solo kitoko, ndenge ezalaki momesano ya Bayuda mpo na kokunda bibembe.
41 Now there was in the place where he was crucified, a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein no man yet had been laid.
Pene ya esika oyo babakaki Yesu na ekulusu, ezalaki na elanga moko oyo, kati na yango, ezalaki na kunda moko ya sika epai wapi batikalaki nanu kokunda ata moto moko te.
42 There, therefore, because of the parasceve of the Jews, they laid Jesus, because the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
Lokola, mpo na Bayuda, ezalaki mokolo ya komilengela mpo na Saba, batiaki Yesu kati na kunda yango, pamba te ezalaki pene.
