< Job 40 >
1 And the Lord went on, and said to Job:
Yehowa gblɔ na Hiob be,
2 Shall he that contendeth with God be so easily silenced? surely he that reproveth God, ought to answer him.
“Ɖe ame si le nya hem kple Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la aɖɔe ɖoa? Ame si tsɔ nya ɖe Mawu ŋu la neɖo eŋu nɛ!”
3 Then Job answered the Lord, and said:
Tete Hiob ɖo eŋu na Yehowa be,
4 What can I answer, who hath spoken inconsiderately? I will lay my hand upon my mouth.
“Aleke nye ame si medze o la maɖo nya ŋu na wòe? Metsɔ nye asi ɖo nye nu.
5 One thing I have spoken, which I wish I had not said: and another, to which I will add no more.
Meƒo nu zi ɖeka gake nyemekpɔ ŋuɖoɖo o; meƒo nu zi evelia eya ta nyemagaƒo nu o.”
6 And the Lord answering Job out of the whirlwind, said:
Tete Yehowa ƒo nu na Hiob tso ahom me be,
7 Gird up thy loins like a man: I will ask thee, and do thou tell me.
“Bla ali dzi abe ŋutsu ene, mabia nya wò eye nàɖo eŋu nam.
8 Wilt thou make void my judgment: and condemn me, that thou mayst be justified?
“Ɖe nàdo vlo nye afiatsotsoa? Ɖe nàbu fɔm, atso na ɖokuiwòa?
9 And hast thou an arm like God, and canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
