Job 39
1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats bring forth among the rocks, or hast thou observed the hinds when they fawn?
“കാട്ടാടുകളുടെ പ്രസവകാലം നിനക്കറിയാമോ? മാൻപേടകൾ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നതു നീ നിരീക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
2 Hast thou numbered the months of their conceiving, or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
അവയ്ക്കു ഗർഭം തികയുന്ന മാസം കണക്കുകൂട്ടാൻ നിനക്കു കഴിയുമോ? അവയുടെ പ്രസവകാലം നിനക്ക് അറിയാമോ?
3 They bow themselves to bring forth young, and they cast them, and send forth roarings.
അവ മുട്ടുകുത്തി കുനിഞ്ഞു കുട്ടികളെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; അവയുടെ പ്രസവവേദന പെട്ടെന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.
4 Their young are weaned and go to feed: they go forth, and return not to them.
അവയുടെ സന്തതികൾ ബലപ്പെട്ട് വനാന്തരങ്ങളിൽ വളർന്നുവരുന്നു. അവ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകുന്നു; തിരികെ വരുന്നതുമില്ല.
5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free, and who hath loosed his bonds?
“സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തോടെ കാട്ടുകഴുതയെ പോകാൻ അനുവദിച്ചത് ആരാണ്? അതിന്റെ കെട്ടുകൾ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടത് ആരാണ്?
6 To whom I have given a house in the wilderness, and his dwellings in the barren land.
മരുഭൂമിയെ അവയ്ക്കു ഭവനമായും ഓരുനിലങ്ങളെ അവയുടെ പാർപ്പിടമായും ഞാൻ നൽകി.
7 He scorneth the multitude of the city, he heareth not the cry of the driver.
പട്ടണത്തിലെ ആരവത്തെ അതു പുച്ഛിക്കുന്നു; തെളിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഒച്ച അതു കേൾക്കുന്നുമില്ല.
8 He looketh round about the mountains of his pasture, and seeketh for every green thing.
മലനിരകളെ അതു മേച്ചിൽസ്ഥലമാക്കുന്നു, പച്ചയായ എല്ലാറ്റിനെയും അതു തെരഞ്ഞു കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു.
9 Shall the rhinoceros be willing to serve thee, or will he stay at thy crib?
“കാട്ടുകാള നിന്നെ സേവിക്കാൻ മനസ്സുവെക്കുമോ? അതു നിന്റെ പുൽത്തൊട്ടിക്കരികെ രാപാർക്കുമോ?
10 Canst thou bind the rhinoceros with thy thong to plough, or will he break the clods of the valleys after thee?
ഒരു കാട്ടുകാളയെ നിനക്ക് നുകത്തിൽ കയറുകൊണ്ടു ബന്ധിക്കാമോ? അതു നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വന്ന് വയൽ ഉഴുമോ?
11 Wilt thou have confidence in his great strength, and leave thy labours to him?
അതു കരുത്തുറ്റതാകുകയാൽ നിനക്ക് അതിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ? നിന്റെ കഠിനജോലികൾ ചെയ്യാൻ അതിനെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുമോ?
12 Wilt thou trust him that he will render thee the seed, and gather it into thy barnfloor?
അതു നിന്റെ കറ്റകൾ വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവന്ന് മെതിക്കളത്തിൽ എത്തിക്കുമെന്നു നിനക്കു വിശ്വസിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ?
13 The wing of the ostrich is like the wings of the heron, and of the hawk.
“ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷികൾ അഭിമാനത്തോടെ ചിറകു വീശുന്നു; എന്നാൽ കൊക്കിന്റെയോ ചിറകുകളോടോ തൂവലുകളോടോ അവ താരതമ്യംചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ലല്ലോ?
14 When she leaveth her eggs on the earth, thou perhaps wilt warm them in the dust.
അവൾ നിലത്തു മുട്ടയിടുന്നു അതു മണലിൽ ചൂടേൽക്കാൻ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
15 She forgetteth that the foot may tread upon them, or that the beasts of the field may break them.
അതു ചവിട്ടേറ്റ് ഉടഞ്ഞുപോകുമെന്നോ കാട്ടുമൃഗം ചവിട്ടിമെതിക്കുമെന്നോ അതു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നില്ല.
16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers, she hath laboured in vain, no fear constraining her.
അവൾ തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോട്, അവ തനിക്കുള്ളവയല്ല എന്ന മട്ടിൽ ക്രൂരമായിപ്പെരുമാറുന്നു; അവളുടെ പ്രസവവേദന വ്യർഥമായിപ്പോകും എന്നതിലും അവൾക്ക് ആകുലതയില്ല.
17 For God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he given her understanding.
കാരണം ദൈവം അവൾക്കു ജ്ഞാനം നൽകിയില്ല; അഥവാ, വിവേകശക്തിയും അനുവദിച്ചുനൽകിയില്ല.
18 When time shall be, she setteth up her wings on high: she scorneth the horse and his rider.
അതു ചിറകുവിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഓടുമ്പോൾ കുതിരയെയും അതിന്മേൽ സവാരിചെയ്യുന്നവനെയും പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.
19 Wilt thou give strength to the horse, or clothe his neck with neighing?
“കുതിരയ്ക്കു ശക്തി നൽകിയത് നീയോ? അതിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ നീയോ കുഞ്ചിരോമം അണിയിച്ചത്?
20 Wilt thou lift him up like the locusts? the glory of his nostrils is terror.
അതിനെ വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെപ്പോലെ നിനക്കു കുതിച്ചുചാടിക്കാമോ? അതിന്റെ ശക്തിയേറിയ ചീറ്റൽ ഭയാനകംതന്നെ!
21 He breaketh up the earth with his hoof, he pranceth boldly, he goeth forward to meet armed men.
അതു താഴ്വരയിൽ മാന്തുകയും കരുത്തിൽ ഊറ്റംകൊള്ളുകയും സൈന്യനിരയ്ക്കുനേരേ പാഞ്ഞടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
22 He despiseth fear, he turneth not his back to the sword,
അതു ഭയത്തെ പുച്ഛിച്ചുതള്ളി കൂസലില്ലാതെ മുന്നേറുന്നു; വാളിൽനിന്ന് അതു പിന്തിരിയുന്നതുമില്ല.
23 Above him shall the quiver rattle, the spear and shield shall glitter.
ആവനാഴിയുടെ കിലുകിലുക്കത്തെയും കുന്തത്തിന്റെയും ശൂലത്തിന്റെയും തിളക്കത്തെയും അത് എതിരിടുന്നു.
24 Chasing and raging he swalloweth the ground, neither doth he make account when the noise of the trumpet soundeth.
ഉഗ്രരോഷത്തോടും ആവേശത്തോടും അതു ദൂരം പിന്നിടുന്നു; കാഹളശബ്ദം കേട്ടാൽ അത് അടങ്ങിനിൽക്കുകയില്ല.
25 When he heareth the trumpet he saith: Ha, ha: he smelleth the battle afar off, the encouraging of the captains, and the shouting of the army.
കാഹളം മുഴങ്ങുന്തോറും അത്, ‘ആഹാ!’ എന്നു ചിനയ്ക്കുന്നു! വിദൂരതയിൽനിന്ന് അത് യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ ഗന്ധം മണത്തറിയുന്നു, പടനായകരുടെ അട്ടഹാസവും ആർപ്പുവിളിയുംതന്നെ.
26 Doth the hawk wax feathered by thy wisdom, spreading her wings to the south?
“പരുന്ത് പറന്നുയരുന്നതും ദക്ഷിണദിശയിലേക്കു ചിറകുകൾ വിരിക്കുന്നതും നിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനംനിമിത്തമോ?
27 Will the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest in high places?
നിന്റെ ആജ്ഞയനുസരിച്ചോ കഴുകൻ പറന്നുയരുന്നതും ഉയരത്തിൽ കൂടുകെട്ടുന്നതും?
28 She abideth among the rocks, and dwelleth among cragged flints, and stony hills, where there is no access.
പാറപ്പിളർപ്പിൽ അതു വസിക്കുകയും അവിടെ രാപാർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; കിഴുക്കാംതൂക്കായ പാറ അതിന്റെ ശക്തികേന്ദ്രമാകുന്നു.
29 From thence she looketh for the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
അവിടെനിന്നും അത് ഇര തേടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി വിദൂരതയിൽനിന്ന് ഇര കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു.
30 Her young ones shall suck up blood: and wheresoever the carcass shall be, she is immediately there.
അതിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ ചോര വലിച്ചുകുടിക്കുന്നു; ശവം എവിടെയുണ്ടോ അവിടെ കഴുകനുമുണ്ട്.”
