< Job 39 >
1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats bring forth among the rocks, or hast thou observed the hinds when they fawn?
“Kodi iwe umadziwa nthawi imene mbalale yayikazi imaswera? Kodi umaonerera pamene nswala ikubala?
2 Hast thou numbered the months of their conceiving, or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
Kodi umawerenga miyezi imene zimakhala ndi bere? Kodi nthawi imene zimaswana iwe umayidziwa?
3 They bow themselves to bring forth young, and they cast them, and send forth roarings.
Zimakhala tsonga ndi kuswa ana awo; pamenepo ululu wobereka nʼkutha.
4 Their young are weaned and go to feed: they go forth, and return not to them.
Ana a nyamazi amakhala ndi mphamvu ndipo amakulira mʼthengo; kenaka amachoka ndipo sabwereranso.
5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free, and who hath loosed his bonds?
“Kodi bulu wakuthengo amamupatsa ndani ufulu wongodziyendera? Ndani amamasula zingwe zake?
6 To whom I have given a house in the wilderness, and his dwellings in the barren land.
Ine ndinamupatsa chipululu kuti chikhale mudzi wake, nthaka ya mchere kuti ikhale malo ake okhalamo
7 He scorneth the multitude of the city, he heareth not the cry of the driver.
Iye amakhala kutali ndi phokoso la mu mzinda; ndipo samva kufuwula kwa oyendetsa nyama zakatundu.
8 He looketh round about the mountains of his pasture, and seeketh for every green thing.
Amayendayenda mʼmapiri kudya msipu ndipo amafunafuna msipu uliwonse wobiriwira.
9 Shall the rhinoceros be willing to serve thee, or will he stay at thy crib?
“Kodi njati ingavomere kukutumikira? Kodi ingagone mu gome lako usiku?
10 Canst thou bind the rhinoceros with thy thong to plough, or will he break the clods of the valleys after thee?
Kodi ungathe kuyimanga ndi zingwe kuti izilima? Kodi ingasalaze nthumbira mʼmunda mwako?
11 Wilt thou have confidence in his great strength, and leave thy labours to him?
Kodi ungadalire njatiyo chifukwa champhamvu zake? Kodi ungayilekere kuti igwire ntchito zako zolemetsa?
12 Wilt thou trust him that he will render thee the seed, and gather it into thy barnfloor?
Kodi ungadalire kuti idzakubweretsera tirigu wako ndi kumuyika ku malo opunthira?
13 The wing of the ostrich is like the wings of the heron, and of the hawk.
“Nthiwatiwa imakupiza mapiko ake monyadira, koma mapikowo sangafanane ndi mapiko ndi nthenga za kakowa.
14 When she leaveth her eggs on the earth, thou perhaps wilt warm them in the dust.
Nthiwatiwa imakwirira mazira ake pansi ndipo amafundidwa ndi nthaka,
15 She forgetteth that the foot may tread upon them, or that the beasts of the field may break them.
nthiwatiwayo sidera nkhawa kuti mazira ake angathe kuswanyidwa, ndi kuti nyama zakuthengo zitha kuwaponda.
16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers, she hath laboured in vain, no fear constraining her.
Nthiwatiwa imachitira nkhanza ana ake ngati anawo si ake; Imayiwala zoti inavutika powabala.
17 For God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he given her understanding.
Chifukwa Mulungu anayimana nzeru, simvetsa kanthu kalikonse.
18 When time shall be, she setteth up her wings on high: she scorneth the horse and his rider.
Komatu nthiwatiwa ikadzambatuka ndi kuyamba kuthamanga, imamusiya kutali kavalo ndi wokwerapo wake.
19 Wilt thou give strength to the horse, or clothe his neck with neighing?
“Kodi ndiwe amene umamupatsa mphamvu kavalo kapena kumuveka chenjerere mʼkhosi mwake?
20 Wilt thou lift him up like the locusts? the glory of his nostrils is terror.
Kodi ndiwe amene umalipatsa dzombe ulemerero wolumphira, ukali wake nʼkumachititsa mantha?
21 He breaketh up the earth with his hoof, he pranceth boldly, he goeth forward to meet armed men.
Iye amalumphalumpha moopseza, kukondwerera mphamvu zake, ndipo amapita ku nkhondo ndi mphamvu zake zonse.
22 He despiseth fear, he turneth not his back to the sword,
Iye sachita mantha, saopa chilichonse; sabwerera mʼmbuyo akaona lupanga.
23 Above him shall the quiver rattle, the spear and shield shall glitter.
Zida zankhondo zimachita kwichikwichi mʼchimake pambali pake pamodzi ndi mkondo wonyezimira ndi nthungo.
24 Chasing and raging he swalloweth the ground, neither doth he make account when the noise of the trumpet soundeth.
Kavaloyo amanjenjemera ndi ukali ndi kulumphalumpha; satha kungoyima pamene wamva kulira kwa lipenga.
25 When he heareth the trumpet he saith: Ha, ha: he smelleth the battle afar off, the encouraging of the captains, and the shouting of the army.
Lipenga likalira amati, ‘Twee!’ Amamva fungo la nkhondo ali patali, kufuwula kwa anthu olamulira nkhondo ndi mfuwu wankhondo.
26 Doth the hawk wax feathered by thy wisdom, spreading her wings to the south?
“Kodi kabawi amawuluka ndi nzeru zako, ndi kutambasula mapiko ake kupita kummwera?
27 Will the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest in high places?
Kodi umalamulira chiwombankhanga ndiwe kuti chiziwuluka ndi kumanga chisa chake pamwamba penipeni?
28 She abideth among the rocks, and dwelleth among cragged flints, and stony hills, where there is no access.
Chimakhala pa phiri ndipo chimakhala pamenepo usiku; chimakhala pa msonga penipeni pa mwala.
29 From thence she looketh for the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
Chili pamenepo chimayangʼanayangʼana choti chigwire kuti chidye; maso ake amachionera patali chinthucho.
30 Her young ones shall suck up blood: and wheresoever the carcass shall be, she is immediately there.
Ana ake amayamwa magazi, ndipo kumene kuli mitembo ndiko chimapezeka.”
