Job 34
1 And Eliu continued his discourse, and said:
௧பின்னும் எலிகூ மறுமொழியாக:
2 Hear ye, wise men, my words, and ye learned, hearken to me:
௨“ஞானிகளே, என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள்; அறிவாளிகளே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்.
3 For the ear trieth words, and the mouth discerneth meats by the taste.
௩வாயானது ஆகாரத்தை ருசிபார்க்கிறதுபோல, காதானது வார்த்தைகளைச் சோதித்துப்பார்க்கும்.
4 Let us choose to us judgment, and let us see among ourselves what is the best.
௪நமக்காக நியாயமானதைத் தெரிந்துகொள்வோமாக; நன்மை இன்னதென்று நமக்குள்ளே அறிந்துகொள்வோமாக.
5 For Job hath said: I am just, and God hath overthrown my judgment.
௫யோபு: நான் நீதிமான்; தேவன் என் நியாயத்தைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார் என்றும்,
6 For in judging me there is a lie: my arrow is violent without any sin.
௬நியாயம் என்னிடத்தில் இருந்தும் நான் பொய்யனென்று எண்ணப்படுகிறேன்; மீறுதல் இல்லாதிருந்தும், அம்பினால் எனக்கு இருந்த காயம் ஆறாததாயிருக்கிறதென்றும் சொன்னாரே.
7 What man is there like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
௭யோபைப் போலவே, கேலிசெய்வதை தண்ணீரைப்போல் குடித்து,
8 Who goeth in company with them that work iniquity, and walketh with wicked men?
௮அக்கிரமக்காரருடன் சேர்ந்துகொண்டு, துன்மார்க்கருடன் சுற்றுகிறவன் யார்?
9 For he hath said: Man shall not please God, although he run with him.
௯எப்படியென்றால், தேவன்மேல் அன்பு வைக்கிறது மனிதனுக்குப் பயன் அல்ல என்றாரே.
10 Therefore, ye men of understanding, hear me: far from god be wickedness, and iniquity from the Almighty.
௧0ஆகையால் புத்திமான்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; அநீதி தேவனுக்கும், சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவனுக்கும் தூரமாயிருக்கிறது.
11 For he will render to a man his work, and according to the ways of every one he will reward them.
௧௧மனிதனுடைய செயல்களுக்கு ஏற்ப அவனுக்குச் சரிக்கட்டி, அவனவன் நடக்கைகளுக்கு ஏற்ப அவனவனுக்குப் பலனளிக்கிறார்.
12 For in very deed God will not condemn without cause, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
௧௨தேவன் அநியாயம் செய்யாமலும், சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் நீதியைப் புரட்டாமலும் இருக்கிறது உண்மையே.
13 What other hath he appointed over the earth? or whom hath he set over the world which he made?
௧௩பூமியின்மேல் மனிதனுக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்தவர் யார்? உலகம் முழுவதையும் ஒழுங்குபடுத்தினவர் யார்?
14 If he turn his heart to him, he shall draw his spirit and breath unto himself.
௧௪அவர் தம்முடைய இருதயத்தை அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகத் திருப்பினாரென்றால், அவனுடைய ஆவியையும் அவனுடைய சுவாசத்தையும் தம்மிடத்தில் இழுத்துக்கொள்வார்.
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall return into ashes.
௧௫அப்படியே உயிரினங்கள் அனைத்தும் இறந்துபோகும், மனிதன் மண்ணுக்குத் திரும்புவான்.
16 If then thou hast understanding, hear what is said, and hearken to the voice of my words.
௧௬உமக்கு உணர்விருந்தால் இதைக் கேளும், என் வார்த்தைகளின் சத்தத்தைக் கேளும்.
17 Can he be healed that loveth not judgment? and how dost thou so far condemn him that is just?
௧௭நீதியைப் பகைக்கிற ஒருவன் ஆள முடியுமோ? மகா நீதிபரரைக் குற்றப்படுத்துவீரோ?
18 Who saith to the king: Thou art an apostate: who calleth rulers ungodly?
௧௮ஒரு ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து, நீ பொல்லாதவன் என்றும், அதிபதிகளைப் பார்த்து, நீங்கள் அக்கிரமக்காரர் என்றும் சொல்ல முடியுமோ?
19 Who accepteth not the persons of princes: nor hath regarded the tyrant, when he contended against the poor man: for all are the work of his hands.
௧௯இப்படியிருக்க, பிரபுக்களின் முகத்தைப்பார்க்காமலும், ஏழையைவிட செல்வந்தனை அதிகமாக நினைக்காமலும் இருக்கிறவரை நோக்கி இப்படிச் சொல்லலாமா? இவர்கள் எல்லோரும் அவர் கரங்களின் செயல்களே.
20 They shall suddenly die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and they shall pass, and take away the violent without hand.
௨0இப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் உடனே இறப்பார்கள்; மக்கள் நடுஇரவில் கலங்கி இறந்துபோவார்கள்; பார்க்காத கையினால் பலவந்தர் அழிந்துபோவார்கள்.
21 For his eyes are upon the ways of men, and he considereth all their steps.
௨௧அவருடைய கண்கள் மனிதருடைய வழிகளை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது; அவர்களுடைய நடைகளையெல்லாம் அவர் பார்க்கிறார்.
22 There is no darkness, and there is no shadow of death, where they may be hid who work iniquity.
௨௨அக்கிரமக்காரர் ஒளிந்துகொள்ளக்கூடிய இருளுமில்லை, மரணஇருளுமில்லை.
23 For it is no longer in the power of man to enter into judgment with God.
௨௩மனிதன் தேவனுடன் வழக்காடுவதற்கு அவர் அவன்மேல் அதிகமானதொன்றையும் சுமத்தமாட்டார்.
24 He shall break in pieces many and innumerable, and shall make others to stand in their stead.
௨௪ஆராய்ந்து முடியாதவிதத்தில், நியாயமாக அவர் வல்லமையுள்ளவர்களை நொறுக்கி, வேறு மனிதரை அவர்கள் இடத்திலே நிறுத்துகிறார்.
25 For he knoweth their works: and therefore he shall bring night on them, and they shall be destroyed.
௨௫அவர்களின் செயல்களை அவர் அறிந்தவர் என்பதினால், அவர்கள் நசுங்கிப்போகும் அளவுக்கு இரவுநேரத்தில் அவர்களை அழித்துப்போடுகிறார்.
26 He hath struck them, as being wicked, in open sight.
௨௬அவர்கள் அவரைவிட்டுப் பின்வாங்கி அவருடைய எல்லா வழிகளையும் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாமல் போனதினாலும்,
27 Who as it were on purpose have revolted from him, and would not understand all his ways:
௨௭எளியவர்களின் வேண்டுதல் அவரிடத்தில் சேரவைத்ததினாலும், சிறுமையானவனுடைய வேண்டுதலை கேட்கிற அவர்,
28 So that they caused the cry of the needy to come to him, and he heard the voice of the poor.
௨௮எல்லோரும் பார்க்கும்படி அவர்களைத் துன்மார்க்கரென்று அடிக்கிறார்.
29 For when he granteth peace, who is there that can condemn? When he hideth his countenance, who is there that can behold him, whether it regard nations, or all men?
௨௯மாயக்காரன் ஆளுகை செய்யாமலும், மக்கள் சிக்கிக்கொள்ளாமலும்,
30 Who maketh a man that is a hypocrite to reign for the sins of the people?
௩0ஒரு மக்களுக்காவது ஒரு மனிதனுக்காவது, அவர் சமாதானத்தை அருளினால் யார் கலங்கவைப்பான்? அவர் தமது முகத்தை மறைத்தால் அவரைப் பார்ப்பவன் யார்?
31 Seeing then I have spoken of God, I will not hinder thee in thy turn.
௩௧நான் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டேன்; நான் இனிப் பாவம் செய்யமாட்டேன்.
32 If I have erred, teach thou me: if I have spoken iniquity, I will add no more.
௩௨நான் பார்க்காத காரியத்தை நீர் எனக்குப் போதியும், நான் அநியாயம் செய்தேனென்றால், நான் இனி அப்படிச் செய்வதில்லை என்று தேவனை நோக்கிச் சொல்லமுடியுமே.
33 Doth God require it of thee, because it hath displeased thee? for thou begannest to speak, and not I: but if thou know any thing better, speak.
௩௩நீர் அப்படிச் செய்யமாட்டேன் என்கிறதினால், உம்முடன் இருக்கிறவர்களில் ஒருவனை உமக்குப் பதிலாக அதைச் செய்யச்சொல்வீரோ? நான் அல்ல, நீரே தெரிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும்; அல்லவென்றால், நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறதைச் சொல்லும்.
34 Let men of understanding speak to me, and let a wise man hearken to me.
௩௪யோபு அறிவில்லாமல் பேசினார்; அவர் வார்த்தைகள் ஞானமுள்ளவைகள் அல்லவென்று,
35 But Job hath spoken foolishly, and his words sound not discipline.
௩௫புத்தியுள்ள மனிதர் என் சார்பாகப் பேசுவார்கள்; ஞானமுள்ள மனிதனும் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பான்.
36 My father, let Job be tried even to the end: cease not from the man of iniquity.
௩௬அக்கிரமக்காரர் சொன்ன மறுமொழிகளினால் யோபு முற்றும்முடிய சோதிக்கப்படவேண்டியதே என் ஆசை.
37 Because he addeth blasphemy upon his sins, let him be tied fast in the mean time amongst us: and then let him provoke God to judgment with his speeches.
௩௭தம்முடைய பாவத்துடன் மீறுதலைச் சேர்த்தார்; அவர் எங்களுக்குள்ளே கைகொட்டி, தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளை அதிகமாகப் பேசினார்” என்றான்.
