Job 25

1 Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and I said:

E BILDAD Suhita rispose, e disse:

2 Power and terror are with him, who maketh peace in his high places.

La signoria, e lo spavento, [è] con lui; Egli fa in pace [ciò che gli piace] ne' suoi [cieli] altissimi.

3 Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?

Le sue schiere si posson esse annoverare? E sopra cui non si leva la sua luce?

4 Can man be justified compared with God, or he that is born of a woman appear clean?

Ma come sarà giusto l'uomo appo Iddio? E come sarà puro colui ch'è nato di donna?

5 Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight.

Ecco, fino alla luna non sarà [pura], e non risplenderà; E le stelle non saranno pure nel suo cospetto.

6 How much less man that is rottenness and the son of man who is a worm?

Quanto meno l'uomo, [che è] un verme, E il figliuol dell'uomo, [che è] un vermicello?
