Jeremiah 49
1 Against the children of Ammon. Thus saith the Lord: Hath Israel no sons? or hath he no heir? Why then hath Melchom inherited Gad: and his people dwelt in his cities?
௧அம்மோன் மக்களைக்குறித்துக் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு மகன்கள் இல்லையோ? அவனுக்குச் சந்ததி இல்லையோ? அவர்கள் ராஜா காத்தேசத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொண்டு, அதின் மக்கள் இவன் பட்டணங்களில் ஏன் குடியிருக்கவேண்டும்?
2 Therefore behold the days come, saith the Lord, and I will cause the noise of war to be heard in Rabbath of the children of Ammon, and it shall be destroyed into a heap, and her daughters shall be burnt with fire, and Israel shall possess them that have possessed him, saith the Lord.
௨ஆகையால், இதோ, நாட்கள் வருமென்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார், அப்பொழுது அம்மோன் மக்களின் பட்டணமாகிய ரப்பாவில் போரின் ஆர்ப்பரிப்பைக் கேட்கச்செய்வேன்; அது பாழான மண்மேடாகும்; அதை சுற்றியுள்ள ஊர்களும் நெருப்பால் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படும்; ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரவேல் தன் தேசத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொண்டவர்களின் தேசத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளும் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
3 Howl, O Hesebon, for Hai is wasted. Cry, ye daughters of Rabbath, gird yourselves with haircloth: mourn and go about by the hedges: for Melchom shall be carried into captivity, his priests, and his princes together.
௩எஸ்போனே, அலறு; ஆயி அழிக்கப்பட்டது; ரப்பாவின் மகள்களே, ஓலமிடுங்கள்; சணலாடையை உடுத்திக்கொண்டு, புலம்பி, வேலிகளில் சுற்றித்திரியுங்கள்; அவர்கள் ராஜா அதின் ஆசாரியர்களுடனும் அதின் பிரபுக்களுடனும் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவான்.
4 Why gloriest thou in the valleys? thy valley hath flowed away, O delicate daughter, that hast trusted in thy treasures, and hast said: Who shall come to me?
௪எனக்கு விரோதமாய் வருகிறவன் யார் என்று சொல்லி, உன் செல்வத்தை நம்பின ஒழுக்கம் கெட்ட மகளே, நீ பள்ளத்தாக்குகளைப்பற்றிப் பெருமைபாராட்டுவானேன்? உன் பள்ளத்தாக்குக் கரைந்து போகிறது.
5 Behold I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord God of hosts, from all that are round about thee: and you shall be scattered every one out of one another’s sight, neither shall there be any to gather together them that flee.
௫இதோ, உன் சுற்றியுள்ள அனைவராலும் உன்மேல் பயத்தை வரச்செய்வேன் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவாவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்; நீங்கள் அவரவர் தம்தம் முன் இருக்கும் வழியிலே துரத்தப்படுவீர்கள்; ஓடுகிறவர்களை திரும்பச் சேர்ப்பார் ஒருவருமில்லை.
6 And afterwards I will cause the captives of the children of Ammon to return, saith the Lord.
௬அதற்குப்பின்பு அம்மோன் புத்திரருடைய சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்புவேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
7 Against Edom. Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Is wisdom no more in Theman? counsel is perished from her children: their wisdom is become unprofitable.
௭ஏதோமைக்குறித்துச் சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: தேமானில் இனி ஞானமில்லையோ? ஆலோசனை விவேகிகளைவிட்டு அழிந்ததோ? அவர்களுடைய ஞானம் கெட்டுப்போயிற்றோ?
8 Flee and turn your backs, go down into the deep hole, ye inhabitants of Dedan: for I have brought the destruction of Esau upon him, the time of his visitation.
௮தேதானின் குடிகளே, ஓடுங்கள், முதுகைக் காட்டுங்கள், பள்ளங்களில் பதுங்குங்கள்; ஏசாவை விசாரிக்கும் காலத்தில் அவன் ஆபத்தை அவன்மேல் வரச்செய்வேன்.
9 If grapegatherers had come to thee, would they not have left a bunch? if thieves in the night, they would have taken what was enough for them.
௯திராட்சைப்பழங்களை அறுக்கிறவர்கள் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள் என்றால், பின்பறிக்கிறதற்குக் கொஞ்சம் வைக்கமாட்டார்களோ? இரவில் திருடர் வந்தார்கள் என்றால், தங்களுக்குப் போதுமென்கிறவரை கொள்ளையடிப்பார்கள் அல்லவோ?
10 But I have made Esau bare, I have revealed his secrets, and he cannot be hid: his seed is laid waste, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he shall not be.
௧0நானோ ஏசாவை வெறுமையாக்கி, அவன் ஒளித்துக்கொள்ளமுடியாமல் அவனுடைய மறைவிடங்களை வெளிப்படுத்திவிடுவேன்; அவனுடைய சந்ததியாரும் அவனுடைய சகோதரரும் அவனுடைய அயலாரும் அழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அவன் இனி இருக்கமாட்டான்.
11 Leave thy fatherless children: I will make them live: and thy widows shall hope in me.
௧௧திக்கற்றவர்களாகப்போகும் உன் பிள்ளைகளை ஒப்புவி, நான் அவர்களை உயிருடன் காப்பாற்றுவேன்; உன் விதவைகள் என்னை நம்புவார்களாக.
12 For thus saith the Lord: Behold they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup, shall certainly drink: and shalt thou come off as innocent? thou shalt not come off as innocent, but drinking thou shalt drink.
௧௨யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, பாத்திரத்தில் குடிக்கவேண்டுமென்கிற நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்கு உள்ளாகாதவர்கள் அதில் குடித்தார்கள்; நீ குற்றமற்று நீங்கலாயிருப்பாயோ? நீ நீங்கலாயிராமல் அதில் கண்டிப்பாகக் குடிப்பாய்.
13 For I have sworn by myself, saith the Lord, that Bosra shall become a desolation, and a reproach, and a desert, and a curse: and all her cities shall be everlasting wastes.
௧௩போஸ்றா பாழும் நிந்தையும் அவாந்தரமும் சாபமுமாக இருக்குமென்றும், அதின் பட்டணங்கள் எல்லாம் நித்திய வனாந்திரங்களாயிருக்குமென்றும் என்னைக்கொண்டு வாக்குக்கொடுத்தேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
14 I have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent to the nations: Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and let us rise up to battle.
௧௪நீங்கள் கூடிக்கொண்டு, அதற்கு விரோதமாக வந்து, போர் செய்கிறதற்கு எழும்புங்கள் என்று சொல்ல, தேசங்களிடத்தில் பிரதிநிதியை அனுப்புகிற செய்தியைக் யெகோவாவிடத்தில் கேள்விப்பட்டேன்.
15 For behold I have made thee a little one among the nations, despicable among men.
௧௫இதோ, உன்னை மக்களுக்குள்ளே சிறியதும், மனிதருக்குள்ளே அசட்டை செய்யப்பட்டதுமாக்குகிறேன் என்கிறார்.
16 Thy arrogancy hath deceived thee, and the pride of thy heart: O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, and endeavourest to lay hold on the height of the hill: but though thou shouldst make thy nest as high as an eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the Lord.
௧௬கன்மலை வெடிப்புகளில் குடியிருந்து, மேடுகளின் உச்சியைப் பிடித்திருக்கிற உன்னால் உன் பயங்கரமும் உன் இருதயத்தின் அகந்தையும் உன்னை மோசம்போக்கியது; நீ கழுகைப்போல உயரத்தில் உன் கூட்டைக் கட்டினாலும் அங்கேயிருந்து உன்னை விழச்செய்வேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
17 And Edom shall be desolate: every one that shall pass by it, shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all its plagues.
௧௭அப்படியே ஏதோம் பாழாகும்; அதைக் கடந்துபோகிறவன் எவனும் அதின் எல்லா வாதைகளைப்பார்த்து அதிர்ந்து சத்தம் போடுவான்.
18 As Sodom was overthrown and Gomorrha, and the neighbours thereof, saith the Lord: there shall not a man dwell there, and there shall no son of man inhabit it.
௧௮சோதோமும் கொமோராவும் அவைகளின் சுற்றுப்புறங்களும் கவிழ்க்கப்பட்டதுபோல இதுவும் கவிழ்க்கப்படும் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; அங்கே ஒருவனும் குடியிருப்பதில்லை, அதில் ஒரு மனுமக்களும் தங்குவதில்லை.
19 Behold one shall come up as a lion from the swelling of the Jordan, against the strong and beautiful: for I will make him run suddenly upon her: and who shall be the chosen one whom I may appoint over her? for who is like to me? and who shall abide me? and who is that shepherd that can withstand my countenance?
௧௯இதோ, புரண்டு ஓடுகிற யோர்தானிடத்திலிருந்து சிங்கம் வருவதுபோல் பலவானுடைய தாபரத்திற்கு விரோதமாக வருகிறான்; அவனைச் சடிதியில் அங்கேயிருந்து ஓடிவரச்செய்வேன்; நான் அதற்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டளையிட்டு அனுப்பத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவன் யார்? எனக்குச் சமமானவன் யார்? எனக்கு எதிராக நிற்கிறவன் யார்? எனக்கு முன்பாக நிலைநிற்கப்போகிற மேய்ப்பன் யார்?
20 Therefore hear ye the counsel of the Lord, which he hath taken concerning Edom: and his thoughts which he hath thought concerning the inhabitants of Theman: surely the little ones of the flock shall cast them down, of a truth they shall destroy them with their habitation.
௨0ஆகையால் யெகோவா ஏதோமுக்கு விரோதமாக யோசித்த ஆலோசனையையும், அவர் தேமானின் குடிகளுக்கு விரோதமாக நினைத்திருக்கிற நினைவுகளையும் கேளுங்கள்; மந்தையில் சிறியவர்கள் மெய்யாகவே அவர்களைப் பிடித்து இழுப்பார்கள், அவர்கள் இருக்கிற இருப்பிடங்களை அவர் மெய்யாகவே அழிப்பார்
21 The earth is moved at the noise of their fall: the cry of their voice is heard in the Red Sea.
௨௧அவைகளுக்குள் இடிந்துவிழும் சத்தத்தினால் பூமி அதிரும்; கூக்குரலின் சத்தம் சிவந்த சமுத்திரம்வரை கேட்கப்படும்.
22 Behold he shall come up as an eagle, and fly: and he shall spread his wings over Bosra: and in that day the heart of the valiant ones of Edom shall be as the heart of a woman in labour.
௨௨இதோ, ஒருவன் கழுகைப்போல எழும்பி, பறந்துவந்து, தன் இறக்கைகளைப் போஸ்றாவின்மேல் விரிப்பான்; அந்நாளில் ஏதோமுடைய பராக்கிரமசாலிகளின் இருதயம் பிரசவவேதனைப்படுகிற பெண்ணின் இருதயம்போல இருக்கும் என்கிறார்.
23 Against Damascus. Emath is confounded and Arphad: for they have heard very bad tidings, they are troubled as in the sea: through care they could not rest.
௨௩தமஸ்குவைக்குறித்துச் சொல்வது: ஆமாத்தும் அர்பாத்தும் கலங்குகிறது; பொல்லாத செய்தியை அவர்கள் கேட்டதினால் கரைந்துபோகிறார்கள்; கடலோரங்களில் வருத்தமுண்டு; அதற்கு அமைதலில்லை.
24 Damascus is undone, she is put to flight, trembling hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her as a woman in labour.
௨௪தமஸ்கு சோர்ந்துபோகும், பின்வாங்கி ஓடிப்போகும்; பயம் அதைப் பிடித்தது; பிரசவ பெண்ணைப்போல இடுக்கமும் வேதனைகளும் அதைப் பிடித்தது.
25 How have they forsaken the city of renown, the city of joy!
௨௫சந்தோஷமான என் ஊராகிய அந்தப் புகழ்ச்சியுள்ள நகரம் காப்பாற்றப்படாமல் போனதே!
26 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets: and all the men of war shall be silent in that day, saith the Lord of hosts.
௨௬ஆதலால் அதின் வாலிபர் அதின் வீதிகளில் விழுந்து, போர் வீரர்கள் எல்லோரும் அந்நாளில் அழிக்கப்படுவார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, rind it shall devour the strong holds of Benadad.
௨௭தமஸ்குவின் மதில்களில் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது பெனாதாத்தின் அரண்மனைகளை எரிக்கும் என்கிறார்.
28 Against Cedar and against the kingdoms of Asor, which Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon destroyed. Thus saith the Lord: Arise, and go ye up to Cedar, and waste the children of the east.
௨௮பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் முறியடிக்கும் கேதாரையும் ஆத்சோருடைய இராஜ்ஜியங்களையும் குறித்துக் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: எழும்பி, கேதாருக்கு விரோதமாகப் போய், கீழ்த்திசை மக்களை அழியுங்கள்.
29 They shall take their tents, and their flocks: and shall carry off for themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels: and they shall call fear upon them round about.
௨௯அவர்களுடைய கூடாரங்களையும் அவர்களுடைய மந்தைகளையும் வாங்கி, அவர்களுடைய திரைகளையும் அவர்களுடைய எல்லாத் தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும் அவர்களுடைய ஒட்டகங்களையும் தங்களுக்கென்று கொண்டுபோய், எங்கும் பயம் என்று சொல்லி, அவர்கள்மேல் ஆர்ப்பரிப்பார்கள்.
30 Flee ye, get away speedily, sit in deep holes, you that inhabit Asur, saith the Lord: for Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived designs against you.
௩0ஆத்சோரின் குடிகளே, ஓடி, தூரத்தில் அலையுங்கள்; பள்ளத்தில் ஒதுங்கிப் பதுங்குங்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக ஆலோசனைசெய்து, உங்களை அழிக்கத் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறான்.
31 Arise, and so up to a nation that is at ease, and that dwelleth securely, saith the Lord: they have neither gates, nor bars: they dwell alone.
௩௧பயமில்லாமல் அலட்சியமாகக் குடியிருக்கிற தேசங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பிப்போங்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; அதற்கு வாசல்களுமில்லை, தாழ்ப்பாள்களுமில்லை; அவர்கள் தனிப்படத் தங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள்.
32 And their camels shall be for a spoil, and the multitude of their cattle for a booty, and I will scatter into every wind them that have their hair cut round, and I will bring destruction upon them from I all their confines, saith the Lord.
௩௨அவர்களுடைய ஒட்டகங்கள் கொள்ளையும், அவர்களுடைய ஆடுமாடுகளின் ஏராளம் சூறையாகும்; நான் அவர்களை எல்லாத் திசைகளின் கடைசி மூலைகளில் இருக்கிறவர்களிடத்திற்குச் சிதறடித்துவிட்டு, அதினுடைய எல்லாப் பக்கங்களிலுமிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு ஆபத்தை வரச்செய்வேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
33 And Asor shall be a habitation for dragons, desolate for ever: no man shall abide there, nor son of man inhabit it.
௩௩ஆத்சோர் வலுசர்ப்பங்களின் தங்குமிடமாகி, என்றென்றைக்கும் பாழாய்க்கிடக்கும்; ஒருவனும் அங்கே குடியிருப்பதில்லை, ஒரு மனிதனும் அதில் தங்குவதுமில்லையென்கிறார்.
34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremias the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Sedecias king of Juda, saying:
௩௪யூதா ராஜாவாகிய சிதேக்கியாவினுடைய ஆட்சியின் துவக்கத்தில், ஏலாமுக்கு விரோதமாக எரேமியா என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசிக்கு உண்டான யெகோவாவுடைய வசனம்:
35 Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold I will break the bow of Elam, and their chief strength.
௩௫சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, நான் ஏலாமின் வில்லென்னும் அவர்களுடைய முதன்மையான வல்லமையை முறித்துப்போட்டு,
36 And I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the fear quarters of heaven: and I will scatter them into all these winds: and there shall be no nation, to which the fugitives of Elam shall not come.
௩௬வானத்தின் நான்கு திசைகளிலுமிருந்து நான்கு காற்றுகளை ஏலாமின்மேல் வரச்செய்து, அவர்களை இந்த எல்லாத்திசைகளிலும் சிதறடிப்பேன்; ஏலாம் தேசத்திலிருந்து துரத்தப்பட்டவர்கள் எல்லா தேசங்களிலும் சிதறப்படுவார்கள்.
37 And I will cause Elam to be afraid before their enemies, and in the sight of them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, my fierce wrath, saith the Lord: and will send the sword after them, till I consume them.
௩௭நான் ஏலாமியரை அவர்கள் எதிரிகளுக்கு முன்பாகவும், அவர்கள் உயிரை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் கலங்கச்செய்து, என் கோபத்தின் கடுமையாகிய தீங்கை அவர்கள்மேல் வரச்செய்வேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் அவர்களை அழிக்கும்வரை பட்டயத்தை அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னாக அனுப்பி,
38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and destroy kings and princes from thence, saith the Lord.
௩௮என் சிங்காசனத்தை ஏலாமில் வைத்து, அங்கேயிருந்து ராஜாவையும் பிரபுக்களையும் அழித்துப்போடுவேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
39 But in the latter days I will cause the captives of Elam, to return, saith the Lord.
௩௯ஆனாலும் கடைசி நாட்களில் நான் ஏலாமின் சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்புவேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
