Jeremiah 3
1 It is commonly said: If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and marry another man, shall he return to her any more? shall not that woman be polluted, and defiled? but thou hast prostituted thyself to many lovers: nevertheless return to me, saith the Lord, and I will receive thee.
১মোচিয়ে এইদৰে লিখিছিল যে, কোনোৱে নিজ স্ত্রীক ত্যাগ কৰাৰ পাছত, সেই স্ত্রীয়ে তেওঁৰ স্বামীৰ লগ এৰি, যদি আন পুৰুষৰ সৈতে বিবাহ হয়, তেতিয়া তাইৰ প্রথম স্বামীয়ে পুনৰায় তাইক নিজৰ পত্নীৰূপে ঘূৰাই নল’ব, যদি যায়, তেন্তে সেই গোটেই দেশ নিচেইকৈ মোলৈ গ্রহণীয় নহ’বলৈ সেয়ে এক কাৰণ হ’ব। কিন্তু তুমি অনেক প্ৰিয়ই সৈতে বেশ্যাকৰ্ম কৰিলা আৰু সেইবোৰে সৈতে শয়ন কৰিলা! গতিকে মোৰ ওচৰলৈ যদি তুমি ওলটিও আহাঁ, মই জানো তোমাক গ্রহণ কৰিম?” এইবুলি যিহোৱাই কৈছে।
2 Lift up thy eyes on high: and see where thou hast not prostituted thyself: Thou didst sit in the ways, waiting for them as a robber in the wilderness: and thou hast polluted the land with thy fornications, and with thy wickedness.
২“চকু তুলি গছশূন্য পাহাৰ টিলাবোৰলৈ চোৱা। তুমি আৰাধ্য কৰা প্রতিমাবোৰ প্রত্যেক পাহাৰ টিলাবোৰতেই আছে। তুমি অৰণ্যত থকা আৰবীয়াৰ দৰে মানুবোৰলৈ বাট চাই ৰাজ-আলিত আক্রমণ কৰি লুটপাত কৰিবলৈ বহি থকাৰ দৰে যেন তেওঁলোক সকলোৱে প্রেমিকহে যাৰে সৈতে বেশ্যাকৰ্ম কৰিলা। কিয়নো প্রতিমাবোৰক আৰাধনা কৰি আৰু বেশ্যাকৰ্ম আৰু কুকৰ্মৰ দ্বাৰাই তুমি দেশখন মোলৈ অগ্রহণীয় কৰিলা।
3 Therefore the showers were withholden, and there was no lateward rain: thou hadst a harlot’s forehead, thou wouldst not blush.
৩সেইবাবেই বছৰৰ নিৰূপিত সময়ত হ’ব লগীয়া বৃষ্টি মই আটক কৰিলোঁ, যেতিয়া তোমালোকে ইয়াৰ প্রয়োজন বোধ কৰিছিলা। তথাপি তুমি বেশ্যাৰ মুখ ধাৰণ কৰি, লজ্জিত হবলৈ অস্বীকাৰ কৰিলা।
4 Therefore at least at this time call to me: Thou art my father, the guide of my virginity:
৪তুমি আজিৰ পৰা মোৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি নকবা নে, যে, ‘হে মোৰ পিতৃ! তুমি মোৰ যৌৱনকালৰ পথদৰ্শক!
5 Wilt thou be angry for ever, or wilt thou continue until the end? Behold, thou hast spoken, and hast done evil things, and hast been able.
৫তুমি জানো চিৰকাললৈকে তোমাৰ ক্ৰোধ মোৰ ওপৰত ৰাখিবা!’ চোৱা, তুমি মন্দ কথা ক’লা, আৰু কুকৰ্মও কৰি আছা আৰু নিজ ইচ্ছামতে তাক সিদ্ধও কৰি আছা!”
6 And the Lord said to me in the days of king Josias: Hast thou seen what rebellious Israel hast done? she hath gone out of herself upon every high mountain, and under every green tree, and hath played the harlot there.
৬যিহূদাৰ ৰজা, ৰজা যোচিয়াই ৰাজত্ব কৰি থকা কালত এদিনাখন যিহোৱাই মোক ক’লে, “বিপথগামিনী ইস্ৰায়েলে যি কৰিলে, তাক তুমি দেখিবলৈ পালা নে? নিজৰ স্বামীক ত্যাগ কৰি আন লোকৰ সৈতে শয়ন কৰাৰ দৰে তেওঁলোক মোৰ পৰা বিমুখ হ’ল। তেওঁলোকে প্ৰত্যেক ওখ পৰ্ব্বতৰ ওপৰত আৰু প্ৰত্যেক কেঁচাপতীয়া গছৰ তলত গৈ, সেই সেই ঠাইত বেশ্যা কৰ্ম কৰিলে।
7 And when she had done all these things, I said: Return to me, and she did not return. And her treacherous sister Juda saw,
৭মই ভাবিছিলোঁ যে এইবোৰ কাম কৰাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোক মোৰ ওচৰলৈ উলটি আহিব, গতিকে মই ক’লোঁ, ‘মোলৈ ঘূৰি আহাঁ!’ কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে উলটি নাহিল। আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ বিশ্বাস-ঘাতকিনী যিহূদাই তাক দেখিলে।
8 That because the rebellious Israel had played the harlot, I had put her away, and had given her a bill of divorce: yet her treacherous sister Juda was not afraid, but went and played the harlot also herself.
৮আৰু মই দেখিলোঁ, যে, বিপথদগামিনী ইস্ৰায়েলে ব্যভিচাৰ কৰিলে, এই কাৰণে মই পত্নীক ত্যাগ-পত্ৰ দি এৰি দিয়াৰ দৰে, অন্য দেশলৈ পঠিয়াই দিলোঁ। মই তেওঁলোকক কি কৰিলোঁ, বিশ্বাস-ঘাতকিনী বায়েক যিহূদাই সেই সকলো দেখিও ইস্রায়েলৰ দৰেই বেশ্যাকৰ্ম কৰিলে। মই তেওঁলোকলৈ কি কৰিব পাৰোঁ, তালৈ যিহূদাই ভয় নকৰিলে, কিন্তু স্ত্রীসকলে নিজৰ স্বামীক এৰি আন পুৰুষলৈ যোৱাৰ দৰে দেৱ-দেৱীৰ উপাসক হৈ মোৰ পৰা নিজলে বিমূখ কৰিলে।
9 And by the facility of her fornication she defiled the land, and played the harlot with stones and with stocks.
৯তেওঁলোকে বেশ্যাকৰ্ম লঘু জ্ঞান কৰি তেওঁলোকে শিল আৰু কাঠেৰে সজা দেৱ-দেৱীৰ উপাসক হৈ দেশখন অশুচি কৰিলে।
10 And after all this, her treacherous sister Juda hath not returned to me with her whole heart, but with falsehood, saith the Lord.
১০ইস্রায়েলৰ বিশ্বাস-ঘাতকিনী বায়েক যিহূদাই সম্পূৰ্ণ মনেৰে সৈতে নহয়, কেৱল কপটভাৱেৰে মোলৈ উলটিল। এয়েই সত্য হোৱাৰ বাবে মই, যিহোৱাই ইয়াকে ক’লো।”
11 And the Lord said to me: The rebellious Israel hath justified her soul, in comparison of the treacherous Juda.
১১তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই মোক ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলে মোৰ পৰা ঘূৰি গ’ল, কিন্তু বিশ্বাস-ঘাতকিনী যিহূদাই বিপদ-ঘামিনী ইস্ৰায়েলতকৈ নিকৃষ্টতৰভাৱে বিপথে গ’ল।
12 Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and thou shalt say: Return, O rebellious Israel, saith the Lord, and I will not turn away my face from you: for I am holy, saith the Lord, and I will not be angry for ever.
১২গতিকে তুমি গৈ ইস্রায়েলৰ লোকসকলক কোৱাগৈ: ‘তেওঁৰ পৰা উলটি যোৱা হে ইস্রায়েলৰ লোকসকল, যিহোৱাই এই কথা তোমালোকক কৈছে: মই তোমালৈ আৰু ক্ৰোধ-দৃষ্টি নকৰিম। কিয়নো যিহোৱাই কৈছে, মই দয়ালু আৰু মই চিৰকাললৈকে ক্ৰোধ নাৰাখোঁ। গতিকে তোমালোক মোলৈ উলটি আহাঁ।
13 But yet acknowledge thy iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the Lord thy God: and thou hast scattered thy ways to strangers under every green tree, and hast not heard my voice, saith the Lord.
১৩তোমাৰ সেই দোষ স্বীকাৰ কৰা যে, তুমি তোমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে তুমি অপৰাধ কৰিলা, আৰু পৰজাতিসকলক বিচাৰি ইফালে সিফালে ফুৰি প্ৰত্যেক কেঁচাপতিয়া গছৰ তলত তেওঁলোকৰ সৈতে শয়ন কৰিলা অৰ্থাৎ সেই দেৱ-দেৱীৰ উপাসনা কৰিলা, তোমালোকে মোৰ বাক্য পালন নকৰি মোৰ পৰা আঁতৰি গ’লা।
14 Return, O ye revolting children, saith the Lord: for I am your husband: and I will take you, one of a city, and two of a kindred, and will bring you into Sion.
১৪যিহোৱাই কৈছে, হে বিপদ-ঘামিনী সন্তান সকল, মোলৈ উলটি আহাঁ; কিয়নো ময়েই তোমালোকৰ স্বামী! তোমালোক উলটি আহিলে, মই এখন নগৰৰ পৰা এজন আৰু এক গোষ্ঠীৰ পৰা দুজনকৈ লৈ চিয়োনলৈ অৰ্থাৎ যিৰূচালেমলৈ তোমালোকক আনিম।
15 And I will give you pastors according to my own heart, and they shall feed you with knowledge and doctrine.
১৫তোমালোকে এইদৰে কৰিলে, মই তোমালোকক মোৰ মনৰ দৰে এজন ৰখীয়া দিম; তেওঁলোকে জ্ঞান আৰু বুদ্ধিৰে তোমালোকক চৰাব, কাৰণ তেওঁলোকে মোক সন্তুষ্ট কৰিবলৈ জানে আৰু বুজে।
16 And when you shall be multiplied, and increase in the land in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more: The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come upon the heart, neither shall they remember it, neither shall it be visited, neither shall that be done any more.
১৬যিহোৱাই কৈছে, সেই দিনত, যেতিয়া তোমালোক বাঢ়ি বহুপ্ৰজা হ’বা, তেতিয়া, “যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম চন্দুক” এই কথা মানুহে আৰু নকব, আৰু সেয়ে মনত নপৰিব, লোকে তাক সোঁৱৰণ নকৰিব, সেয়ে নোহোৱাত লোকে বেজাৰ নাপাব আৰু তাক পুনৰায় সজা নাযাব।
17 At that time Jerusalem shall be called the thrown of the Lord: and all the nations shall be gathered together to it, in the name of the Lord to Jerusalem, and they shall not walk after the perversity of their most wicked heart.
১৭সেই সময়ত লোকসকলে ক’ব, “যিৰূচালেম যিহোৱাৰ সিংহাসন বুলি প্ৰখ্যাত হব, আৰু সকলো জাতিয়ে তাৰ ওচৰত যিৰূচালেমত যিহোৱাৰ নামেৰে গোট খাব আৰু তেওঁলোকে নিজ নিজ দুষ্ট মনৰ কঠিনতা অনুসাৰে আৰু নচলিব।
18 In those days the house of Juda shall go to the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land which I gave to your fathers.
১৮সেই কালত যিহূদা বংশই ইস্ৰায়েল বংশই সৈতে সমভাবে চলিব, আৰু তেওঁলোক একে লগে উত্তৰ দেশৰ পৰা ওলাই, তোমালোকৰ পূৰ্বপুৰুষসকলক আধিপত্যৰ অৰ্থে মই দিয়া দেশলৈ আনিম।
19 But I said: How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a lovely land, the goodly inheritance of the armies of the Gentiles? And I said: Thou shalt call me father and shalt cease to walk after me.
১৯আৰু ময়েই কৈছিলোঁ, তোমালোক ইস্রায়েলৰ লোকসকল, মই তোমালোকক গ্রহণ কৰিবলৈ তোমালোক মোৰ সন্তান হোৱা। কাৰণ মই তোমালোকক এক মনোহৰ দেশ দিম। আন জাতিৰ দেশতকৈ এই দেশ অধিককৈ মনোহৰ! মই ইচ্ছা কৰিছোঁ যেন তোমালোকে মোক ‘পিতৃ’ বুলি সন্বোধন কৰা, আৰু মোৰ পাছত চলাৰ পৰা কেতিয়াও উলটি নাযাবা।
20 But as a woman that despiseth her lover, so hath the house of Israel despised me, saith the Lord.
২০কিন্তু তোমালোকে পত্নীয়ে যেনেকৈ নিজ স্বামীক বিশ্বাস-ঘাতকতা কৰি এৰে, তেনেকৈ তোমালোকেও স্বৰূপেই মোৰ অহিতে বিশ্বা-ঘাতকতা কৰিলা। সেইবাবেই যিহোৱাই কৈছে, আৰু মই ইস্ৰায়েল বংশক এই কথা ক’লো।
21 A voice was heard in the highways, weeping and howling of the children of Israel: because they have made their way wicked, they have forgotten the Lord their God.
২১“গছশূন্য পৰ্ব্বতত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলৰ কান্দোন আৰু কাকুতি-মিনতি শুনা গৈছে; কাৰণ, তেওঁলোক বিপদগামী হৈছিল আৰু তেওঁলোকে নিজৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাক পাহৰি গৈছিল বুলি স্বীকাৰ কৰিছে।
22 Return, you rebellious children, and I will heal your rebellions. Behold we come to thee: for thou art the Lord our God.
২২যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকক ক’ব, “হে বিপথগামী ইস্রায়েলৰ সন্তান সকল, মোলৈ উলটি আহাঁ! তেনে কৰিলে মই তোমালোকৰ বিপথগমনস্বৰূপ ৰোগ সুস্থ কৰিম।” তেতিয়া লোকসকলে উত্তৰ দি ক’ব, “চোৱা, আমি তোমাৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিছোঁ; কিয়নো তুমিয়েই আমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা।
23 In very deed the hills were liars. and the multitude of the mountains: truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.
২৩স্বৰূপেই গিৰিবোৰৰ পৰা আশা কৰা সহায় আৰু পৰ্ব্বতবোৰৰ ওপৰত দেৱ-দেৱীৰ আগত কৰা কঢ়াল মিছা। স্বৰূপেই উপলদ্ধি কৰিছোঁ যে, আমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাইহে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ পৰিত্ৰাণ!
24 Confusion hath devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
২৪কিন্তু সেই লজ্জাজনক বাল দেৱতাই, আমাৰ লৰা কালৰে পৰা আমাৰ পিতৃসকলৰ শ্ৰমেৰে অৰ্জ্জা সম্পত্তি, তেওঁলোকৰ গৰু, মেৰ আদি জাক আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ লৰা-ছোৱালী সকলক গ্ৰাস কৰিলে।
25 We shall sleep in our confusion, and our shame shall cover us, because we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers from our youth even to this day, and we have not hearkened to the voice of the Lord our God.
২৫সেয়ে আমি আমাৰ লাজস্বৰূপ বিছনাত শোওঁ আৰু আমাৰ অপমানে আমাক ঢাকক; কিয়নো আমাৰ পূৰ্বপুৰুষসকলে, আৰু আমিও লৰা কালৰে পৰা আজিলৈকে নিজৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ অহিতে পাপ কৰিলোঁ, আৰু নিজৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ আজ্ঞা পালন নকৰিলোঁ।”
