Jeremiah 26
1 In the beginning of the reign of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda, came this word from the Lord, saying:
ユダの王ヨシヤの子ヱホヤキムが位に即し初のころヱホバより此言いでていふ
2 Thus saith the Lord: Stand in the court of the house of the Lord, and speak to all the cities of Juda, out of which they come, to adore in the house of the Lord, all the words which I have commanded thee to to speak unto them: leave not out one word.
ヱホバかくいふ汝ヱホバの室の庭に立我汝に命じていはしむる諸の言をユダの邑々より來りてヱホバの室に拜をする人々に告よ一言をも減す勿れ
3 If so be they will hearken and be converted every one from his evil way; that I may repent me of the evil that I think to do unto them for the wickedness of their doings.
彼等聞ておのおの其惡き途を離るることあらん然ば我かれらの行の惡がために災を彼らに降さんとせることを悔べし
4 And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord: If you will not hearken to me to walk in my law, which I have given to you:
汝彼等にヱホバかくいふといへ汝等もし我に聽ずわが汝らの前に置し律法を行はず
5 To give ear to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent to you rising up early: and sending, and you have not hearkened:
我汝らに遣し切に遣せし我僕なる預言者の言を聽ずば(汝らは之をきかざりき)
6 I will make this house like Silo: and I will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.
我この室をシロの如くになし又この邑を地の萬國に詛はるる者となすべし
7 And the priests, and the prophets, and all the people heard Jeremias speaking these words in the house of the Lord.
祭司と預言者及び民みなヱレミヤがヱホバの室に立てこの言をのぶるをきけり
8 And when Jeremias made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests, and the prophets, and all the people laid hold on him, saying: Let him be put to death.
ヱレミヤ、ヱホバに命ぜられし諸の言を民に告畢りしとき祭司と預言者および諸の民彼を執へいひけるは汝は必ず死べし
9 Why hath he prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying: This house shall be like Silo; and this city shall be made desolate, without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered together against Jeremias in the house of the Lord.
汝何故にヱホバの名をもて預言し此室はシロの如くになりこの邑は荒蕪となりて住む者なきにいたらんと云しやと民みなヱホバの室にあつまりてヱレミヤを攻む
10 And the princes of Juda heard these words: and they went up from the king’s house into the house of the Lord, and sat in the entry of the new gate of the house of the Lord.
ユダの牧伯等この事をききて王の家をいでヱホバの室にのぼりてヱホバの家の新しき門の入口に坐せり
11 And the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes, and to all the people, saying: The judgement of death is for this man: because he hath prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.
祭司と預言者等牧伯等とすべての民に訴ていふ此人は死にあたる者なり是は汝らが耳に聽しごとくこの邑にむかひて惡き預言をなしたるなり
12 Then Jeremias spoke to all the princes, and to all the people, saying: The Lord sent me to prophesy concerning this house, and concerning this city all the words you have heard.
是に於てヱレミヤ牧伯等とすべての民にいひけるはヱホバ我を遣し汝らが聽る諸の言をもて此宮とこの邑にむかひて預言せしめたまふ
13 Now therefore amend your ways, and your doings, and hearken to the voice of the Lord your God: and the Lord will repent of the evil that he hath spoken against you.
故に汝らいま汝らの途と行爲をあらためて汝らの神ヱホバの聲にしたがへ然ばヱホバ汝らに災を降さんとせしことを悔たまふべし
14 But as for me, behold I am in your hands: do with me what is good and right in your eyes:
みよ我は汝らの手にあり汝らの目に善とみゆるところ義とみゆることを我に行へ
15 But know ye, and understand, that if you put me to death, you will shed innocent blood against your own selves, and against this city, and the inhabitants thereof. For in truth the Lord sent me to you, to speak all these words in your hearing.
然ど汝ら善くこれを知れ汝らもし我を殺さば必ず無辜ものの血なんぢらの身とこの邑と其中に住る者に歸せんヱホバ我を遣してこの諸の言を汝らの耳につげしめたまひしなればなり
16 Then the princes, and all the people said to the priests, and to the prophets: There is no judgement of death for this man: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.
牧伯等とすべての民すなはち祭司と預言者にいひけるは此人は死にあたる者にあらず是は我らの神ヱホバの名によりて我儕に語りしなりと
17 And some of the ancients of the land rose up: and they spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying:
時にこの地の長老數人立て民のすべての集れる者につげていひけるは
18 Micheas of Morasthi was a prophet in the days of Ezechias king of Juda, and he spoke to all the people of Juda, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Sion shall be ploughed like a field, and Jerusalem shall be a heap of stones: and the mountain of the house the high places of woods.
ユダの王ヒゼキヤの代にモレシテ人ミカ、ユダの民に預言して云けらく萬軍のヱホバかくいひ給ふシオンは田地のごとく耕されヱルサレムは邱墟となり此室の山は樹深き崇邱とならんと
19 Did Ezechias king of Juda, and all Juda, condemn him to death? did they not fear the Lord, and beseech the face of the Lord: and the Lord repented of the evil that they had spoken against them? therefore we are doing a great evil against our souls.
ユダの王ヒゼキヤとすべてのユダ人は彼を殺さんとせしことありしやヒゼキヤ、ヱホバを畏れヱホバに求ければヱホバ彼らに降さんと告給ひし災を悔給ひしにあらずや我儕かく爲すは自己の靈魂をそこなふ大なる惡をなすなり
20 There was also a man that prophesied in the name of the Lord, Urias the son of Semei of Cariathiarim: and he prophesied against this city, and against this land, according to all the words of Jeremias.
又前にヱホバの名をもて預言せし人あり即ちキリヤテヤリムのシマヤの子ウリヤなり彼ヱレミヤの凡ていへるごとく此邑とこの地にむかひて預言せり
21 And Joakim, and all his men in power, and his princes heard these words: and the king sought to put him to death. And Urias heard it, and was afraid, and fled and went into Egypt.
ヱホヤキム王と其すべての勇士とすべての牧伯等その言を聽り是において王彼を殺さんと欲ひしがウリヤこれをきき懼てエジプトに逃ゆきしかば
22 And king Joakim sent men into Egypt, Elnathan the son of Achobor, and men with him into Egypt.
ヱホヤキム王人をエジプトに遣せり即ちアクボルの子エルナタンに數人をそへてエジプトにつかはしければ
23 And they brought Urias out of Egypt: and brought him to king Joakim, and he slew him with the sword: and he cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.
彼らウリヤをエジプトより引出しヱホヤキム王の許に携きたりしに王劍をもて之を殺し其屍骸を賤者の墓に棄させたりと
24 So the hand of Ahicam the son of Saphan was with Jeremias, that he should not be delivered into the hands of the people, to put him to death.
時にシヤパンの子アヒカム、ヱレミヤをたすけこれを民の手にわたして殺さざらしむ
