Jeremiah 23
1 Woe to the pastors, that destroy and tear the sheep of my pasture, saith the Lord.
¡Ay de los pastores que desperdician y derraman las ovejas de mi majada! dijo Jehová.
2 Therefore thus saith the Lord the God of Israel to the pastors that feed my people: You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold I will visit upon you for the evil of your doings, saith the Lord.
Por tanto, así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel a los pastores que apacientan mi pueblo: Vosotros derramasteis mis ovejas, y las amontasteis, y no las visitasteis: he aquí que yo visito sobre vosotros la maldad de vuestras obras, dijo Jehová.
3 And I will gather together the remnant of my flock, out of all the lands into which I have cast them out: and I will make them return to their own fields, and they shall increase and be multiplied.
Y yo recogeré el resto de mis ovejas de todas las tierras donde las eché, y hacerlas he volver a sus moradas; y crecerán, y multiplicarse han.
4 And I will set up pastors over them, and they shall feed them: they shall fear no more, and they shall not be dismayed: and none shall be wanting of their number, saith the Lord.
Y pondré sobre ellas pastores que las apacienten; y no temerán más, ni tendrán miedo, ni serán menoscabadas, dijo Jehová.
5 Behold the days come, saith the Lord, and I will raise up to David a just branch: and a king shall reign, and shall be wise, and shall execute judgement and justice in the earth.
He aquí que vienen días, dijo Jehová, y despertaré a David renuevo justo, y reinará rey, el cual será dichoso, y hará juicio y justicia en la tierra.
6 In those days shall Juda be saved, and Israel shall dwell confidently: and this is the name that they shall call him: the Lord our just one.
En sus días será salvo Judá, e Israel habitará confiado; y este será su nombre que le llamarán, Jehová justicia nuestra.
7 Therefore behold the days to come, saith the Lord, and they shall say no more: The Lord liveth, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt:
Por tanto, he aquí que vienen días, dijo Jehová, y no dirán más: Vive Jehová que hizo subir los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto:
8 But the Lord liveth, who hath brought out, and brought hither the seed of the house of Israel from the land of the north, and out of all the lands, to which I had cast them forth: and they shall dwell in their own land.
Mas: Vive Jehová que hizo subir, y trajo la simiente de la casa de Israel de tierra del aquilón, y de todas las tierras a donde los eché; y habitarán en su tierra.
9 To the prophets: My heart is broken within me, all my bones tremble: I am become as a drunken man, and as a man full of wine, at the presence of the Lord, and at the presence of his holy words.
A causa de los profetas mi corazón es quebrantado en medio de mí, todos mis huesos tiemblan: estuve como hombre borracho, y como hombre a quien enseñoreó el vino, delante de Jehová, y delante de las palabras de su santidad.
10 Because the land is full of adulterers, because the land hath mourned by reason of cursing, the fields of the desert are dried up: and their course is become evil, and their strength unlike.
Porque la tierra es llena de adúlteros, porque a causa del juramento la tierra es desierta: las cabañas del desierto se secaron; y la carrera de ellos fue mala, su fortaleza no derecha.
11 For the prophet and the priest are defiled: and in my house I have found their wickedness, saith the Lord.
Porque así el profeta como el sacerdote son fingidos: aun en mi casa hallé su maldad, dijo Jehová.
12 Therefore their way shall be as a slippery way in the dark: for they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evils upon them, the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.
Por tanto su camino les será como resbaladeros en oscuridad: serán rempujados, y caerán en él; porque yo traeré sobre ellos mal, año de su visitación, dice Jehová.
13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria: they prophesied in Baal, and deceived my people Israel.
Y en los profetas de Samaria ví bobería: profetizaban en Baal, e hicieron errar a mi pueblo Israel.
14 And I have seen the likeness of adulterers, and the way of lying in the prophets of Jerusalem: and they strengthened the hand of the wicked, that no man should return from his evil doings: that are all become unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrha.
Y en los profetas de Jerusalem ví torpezas: cometían adulterios, y caminaban por mentira, y esforzaban las manos de los malos, porque ninguno se convertiese de su malicia: tornáronseme todos ellos como los moradores de Sodoma, y sus moradores como Gomorra.
15 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts to the prophets: Behold I will feed them with wormwood, and I will give them gall to drink: for from the prophets of Jerusalem corruption has gone forth into all the land.
Por tanto así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos contra aquellos profetas: He aquí que yo les hago comer ajenjo, y les haré beber aguas de hiel; porque de los profetas de Jerusalem salió la hipocresía sobre toda la tierra.
16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Hearken not to the words of the prophets that prophesy to you, and deceive you: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.
Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: No escuchéis las palabras de los profetas que os profetizan: os hacen desvanecer, hablan visión de su corazón, no de la boca de Jehová.
17 They say to them that blaspheme me: The Lord hath said: You shall have peace: and to every one that walketh in the perverseness of his own heart, they have said: No evil shall come to you.
Dicen atrevidamente a los que me airán: Jehová dijo: Paz tendréis. Y a cualquiera que camina tras la imaginación de su corazón, dijeron: No vendrá mal sobre vosotros.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath seen and heard his word? Who hath considered his word and heard it?
Porque ¿quién estuvo en el secreto de Jehová, y vio, y oyó su palabra? ¿quién estuvo atento a su palabra, y oyó?
19 Behold the whirlwind of the Lord’s indignation shall come forth, and a tempest shall break out and come upon the head of the wicked.
He aquí que la tempestad de Jehová saldrá con furor; y la tempestad que está aparejada, sobre la cabeza de los malos caerá.
20 The wrath of the Lord shall not return till he execute it, and till he accomplish the thought of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand his counsel.
No se apartará el furor de Jehová, hasta tanto que haya hecho, y hasta tanto que haya confirmado los pensamientos de su corazón: en lo postrero de los días la entenderéis con entendimiento.
21 I did not send prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
No envié yo aquellos profetas, y ellos corrían: yo no les hablé, y ellos profetizaban.
22 If they stood in my counsel, and had made my words known to my people, I should have turned them from their evil way and from their wicked doings.
Y si ellos hubieran estado en mi secreto, también hubieran hecho oír mis palabras a mi pueblo, y los hubieran hecho volver de su mal camino, y de la maldad de sus obras.
23 Am I, think ye, a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?
¿Soy yo Dios de cerca, dijo Jehová, y no Dios de lejos?
24 Shall a man be hid in secret places, and I not see him, saith the Lord? do not I fill heaven and earth, saith the Lord?
¿Esconderse ha alguno en escondederos que yo no le vea, dijo Jehová? ¿no hincho yo el cielo y la tierra, dijo Jehová?
25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, and say: I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
Yo oí lo que aquellos profetas dijeron profetizando mentira en mi nombre, diciendo: Soñé, soñé.
26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies, and that prophesy the delusions of their own heart?
¿Hasta cuándo será esto en el corazón de los profetas que profetizan mentira, y que profetizan el engaño de su corazón?
27 Who seek to make my people forget my name through their dreams, which they tell every man to his neighbor: as their fathers forgot my name for Baal.
No piensan como hacen olvidar mi pueblo de mi nombre con sus sueños que cada uno cuenta a su compañero, como sus padres se olvidaron de mi nombre por Baal.
28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream: and he that hath my word, let him speak my word with truth: what hath the chaff to do with the wheat, saith the Lord?
El profeta con quien fuere sueño, cuente sueño; y con el que fuere mi palabra, cuente mi palabra verdadera. ¿Qué tiene la paja con el trigo, dijo Jehová?
29 Are not my words as a fire, saith the Lord: and as a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
¿Mi palabra no es como el fuego, dice Jehová, y como martillo que quebranta la piedra?
30 Therefore behold I am against the prophets, saith the Lord: who steal my words every one from his neighbor.
Por tanto, he aquí, yo contra los profetas, dice Jehová, que hurtan mis palabras, cada uno de su más cercano.
31 Behold I am against the prophets, saith the Lord: who use their tongues, and say: The Lord saith it.
He aquí, yo contra los profetas, dice Jehová, que endulzan sus lenguas, y dicen: Dijo.
32 Behold I am against the prophets that have lying dreams, saith the Lord: and tell them, and cause my people to err by their lying, and by their wonders: when I sent them not, nor commanded them, who have not profited this people at all, saith the Lord.
He aquí, yo contra los que profetizan sueños mentirosos, dice Jehová, y los contaron, e hicieron errar mi pueblo con sus mentiras y con sus lisonjas; y yo no los envié, ni les mandé; y ningún provecho hicieron a este pueblo, dijo Jehová.
33 If therefore this people, or the prophet, or the priest shall ask thee, saying: What is the burden of the Lord? thou shalt say to them: You are the burden: for I will cast you away, saith the Lord.
Y cuando te preguntare este pueblo, o el profeta, o el sacerdote, diciendo: ¿Qué es la carga de Jehová? decirles has: ¿Qué carga? Dejaros he, dijo Jehová.
34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people that shall say: The burden of the Lord: I will visit upon that man, and upon his house.
Y el profeta, y el sacerdote, y el pueblo que dijere: Carga de Jehová: yo visitaré sobre el tal hombre, y sobre su casa.
35 Thus shall you say every one to his neighbor, and to his brother: What hath the Lord answered? and what hath the Lord spoken?
Así diréis cada cual a su compañero, y cada cual a su hermano; ¿Qué respondió Jehová? ¿y qué habló Jehová?
36 And the burden of the Lord shall be mentioned no more, for every man’s word shall be his burden: for you have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God.
Y nunca más os vendrá a la memoria carga de Jehová; porque la palabra de cada uno le será por carga; pues pervertisteis las palabras del Dios viviente, Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios nuestro.
37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet: What hath the Lord answered thee? and what hath the Lord spoken?
Así dirás al profeta: ¿Qué te respondió Jehová, y que habló Jehová?
38 But if you shall say: The burden of the Lord: therefore thus saith the Lord: Because you have said this word: The burden of the Lord: and I have sent to you saying: Say not, The burden of the Lord:
Y si dijereis: Carga de Jehová: Por tanto así dijo Jehová: Porque dijisteis esta palabra, carga de Jehová, habiendo enviado a vosotros, diciendo: No digáis, Carga de Jehová.
39 Therefore behold I will take you away carrying you, and will forsake you, and the city which I gave to you, and to your fathers, out of my presence.
Por tanto, he aquí, que yo os olvidaré olvidando; y os arrancaré de mi presencia, y a la ciudad que os di a vosotros y a vuestros padres.
40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame which shall never be forgotten.
Y daré sobre vosotros vergüenza perpetua, y confusiones eternas, que nunca las raiga olvido.
