< Isaiah 51 >

1 Give ear to me, you that follow that which is just, and you that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence you are hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you are dug out.
“Mverani Ine, inu amene mukufuna chipulumutso ndiponso amene mumafunafuna Yehova: Taganizani za thanthwe kumene munasemedwa ndipo ku ngwenya kumene anakukumbani;
2 Look unto Abraham your father, and to Sara that bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and multiplied him.
taganizani za Abrahamu, kholo lanu, ndi Sara, amene anakubalani. Pamene ndinkamuyitana nʼkuti alibe mwana, koma ndinamudalitsa ndi kumupatsa ana ambiri.
3 The Lord therefore will comfort Sion, and will comfort all the ruins thereof: and he will make her desert as a place of pleasure, and her wilderness as the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of praise.
Yehova adzatonthozadi Ziyoni, ndipo adzachitira chifundo mabwinja ake onse; Dziko lake la chipululu adzalisandutsa ngati Edeni, malo ake owuma ngati munda wa Yehova. Anthu adzayimba nyimbo zonditamanda ndi kundiyamika.
4 Hearken unto me, O my people, and give ear to me, O my tribes: for a law shall go forth from me, and my judgment shall rest to be a light of the nations.
“Mverani Ine, anthu anga: tcherani khutu, inu mtundu wanga: malangizo adzachokera kwa Ine; cholungama changa chidzawunikira anthu a mitundu yonse.
5 My just one is near at hand, my saviour is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the people: the islands shall look for me, and shall patiently wait for my arm.
Ndili pafupi kubwera kudzawombola anthu anga. Ndidzabwera mofulumira ngati kuwunika kudzapulumutsa anthu anga; ndipo ndidzalamulira anthu a mitundu yonse. Mayiko akutali akundiyembekezera. Iwo akudikira kuti ndidzawapulumutse.
6 Lift up your eyes to heaven, and look down to the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth shall be worn away like a garment, and the inhabitants thereof shall perish in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice shall not fail.
Kwezani maso anu mlengalenga, yangʼanani pansi pa dziko; mlengalenga udzazimirira ngati utsi, dziko lapansi lidzatha ngati chovala ndipo anthu ake adzafa ngati nsabwe. Koma chipulumutso changa chidzakhala mpaka muyaya, chilungamo changa chidzakhala cha nthawi zonse.
7 Hearken to me, you that know what is just, my people who have my law in your heart: fear ye not the reproach of men, and be not afraid of their blasphemies.
“Mverani Ine, inu amene mukudziwa choonadi, anthu inu amene mukusunga malangizo anga mʼmitima yanu; musaope kudzudzulidwa ndi anthu kapena kuopsezedwa akamakulalatirani.
8 For the worm shall eat them up as a garment: and the moth shall consume them as wool: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice from generation to generation,
Pakuti njenjete idzawadya ngati chovala; mbozi idzawadya ngati thonje. Koma chilungamo changa chidzakhala mpaka muyaya, chipulumutso changa chidzakhala mpaka mibadomibado.”
9 Arise, arise, put on strength, O thou arm of the Lord, arise as in the days of old, in the ancient generations. Hast not thou struck the proud one, and wounded the dragon?
Dzambatukani, dzambatukani! Valani zilimbe, Inu Yehova; dzambatukani, monga munkachitira masiku amakedzana, monga nthawi ya mibado yakale. Si ndinu kodi amene munaduladula Rahabe, amene munabaya chinjoka cha mʼnyanja chija?
10 Hast not thou dried up the sea, the water of the mighty deep, who madest the depth of the sea a way, that the delivered might pass over?
Kodi sindinu amene munawumitsa nyanja yayikulu, madzi ozama kwambiri aja? Kodi sindinu amene munapanga njira pa madzi ozama, kuti anthu amene munawapulumutsa awoloke powuma?
11 And now they that are redeemed by the Lord, shall return, and shall come into Sion singing praises, and joy everlasting shall be upon their heads, they shall obtain joy and gladness, sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
Anthu amene Yehova anawawombola adzabwerera nakafika ku Ziyoni nyimbo ili pakamwa; chimwemwe chamuyaya chizidzaonekera pa nkhope zawo. Adzakhala ndi chikondwerero ndi chimwemwe, chisoni ndi kubuwula zidzathawa.
12 I, I myself will comfort you: who art thou, that thou shouldst be afraid of a mortal man, and of the son of man, who shall wither away like grass?
Yehova akuti, “Ndinetu amene ndimakutonthozani mtima. Chifukwa chiyani mukuopa munthu woti adzafa? Mukuopa munthu woti monga udzu sadzakhalitsa.
13 And thou hast forgotten the Lord thy maker, who stretched out the heavens, and founded the earth: and thee hast been afraid continually all the day at the presence of his fury who afflicted thee, and had prepared himself to destroy thee: where is now the fury of the oppressor?
Koma inu mumayiwala Yehova Mlengi wanu, amene anayala za mlengalenga ndi kuyika maziko a dziko lapansi. Inu nthawi zonse mumaopsezedwa chifukwa cha ukali wa anthu okuponderezani amene angofuna kukuwonongani. Kodi uli kuti tsopano ukali wa anthu okuponderezaniwo?
14 He shall quickly come that is going to open unto you, and he shall not kill unto utter destruction, neither shall his bread fail.
Amʼndende adzamasulidwa posachedwa; sadzalowa mʼmanda awo, kapena kusowa chakudya.
15 But I am the Lord thy God, who trouble the sea, and the waves thereof swell: the Lord of hosts is my name.
Pakuti Ine ndine Yehova Mulungu wanu, amene ndimavundula nyanja kotero mafunde ake amakokoma. Dzina lake ndi Yehova Wamphamvuzonse.
16 I have put my words in thy mouth, and have protected thee in the shadow of my hand, that thou mightest plant the heavens, and found the earth: and mightest say to Sion: Thou art my people.
Ndayika mawu anga mʼkamwa mwanu ndipo ndakuphimbani ndi mthunzi wa dzanja langa. Ine ndimayika pa malo pake zinthu za mlengalenga, ndipo ndinayika maziko a dziko lapansi, ndimawuza anthu a ku Ziyoni kuti, ‘Ndinu anthu anga.’”
17 Arise, arise, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunk even to the bottom of the cup of dead sleep, and thou hast drunk even to the dregs.
Dzambatuka, dzambatuka! Imirira iwe Yerusalemu. Iwe amene wamwa chikho cha mkwiyo chimene Yehova anakupatsa. Iwe amene unagugudiza chikho chochititsa chizwezwe.
18 There is none that can uphold her among all the children that she hath brought forth: and there is none that taketh her by the hand among all the children that she hath brought up.
Mwa ana onse amene anabereka, panalibe ndi mmodzi yemwe anamutsogolera; mwa ana onse amene analera, panalibe ndi mmodzi yemwe anamugwira dzanja.
19 There are two things that have happened to thee: who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword, who shall comfort thee?
Mavuto awiriwa akugwera iwe. Dziko lako lasakazika ndi kuwonongeka. Anthu afa ndi njala ndi lupanga. Ndani angakumvere chisoni? Ndani angakutonthoze?
20 Thy children are cast forth, they have slept at the head of all the ways, as the wild ox that is snared: full of the indignation of the Lord, of the rebuke of thy God.
Ana ako akomoka; ali lambalamba pa msewu, ngati mphoyo yogwidwa mu ukonde. Ukali wa Yehova ndi chidzudzulo chake zidzawagwera.
21 Therefore hear this, thou poor little one, and thou that art drunk but no with wine.
Nʼchifukwa chake imva izi iwe amene ukuvutika, iwe amene waledzera, koma osati ndi vinyo.
22 Thus saith thy Sovereign the Lord and thy God, who will fight for his people: Behold I have taken out of thy hand the cup of dead sleep, the dregs of the cup of my indignation, thou shalt not drink it again any more.
Ambuye Yehova wanu, Mulungu amene amateteza anthu ake akuti, “Taona, ndachotsa mʼdzanja lako chikho chimene chimakuchititsa kudzandira; sudzamwanso chikho cha ukali wanga.
23 And I will put it in the hand of them that have oppressed thee, and have said to thy soul: Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as a way to them that went over.
Ndidzapereka chikhocho kwa anthu amene amakuzunza, amene ankakuwuza kuti, ‘gona pansi tikuyende pa msana.’ Ndipo msana wako anawuyesa pansi popondapo, ngati msewu woti ayendepo.”
