Isaiah 45
1 Thus saith the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I have taken hold of, to subdue nations before his face, and to turn the backs of kings, and to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut.
Assim diz o Senhor ao seu ungido, a Cyro, a quem tomo pela sua mão direita, para abater as nações diante de sua face, e eu soltarei os lombos dos reis, para abrir diante dele as portas, e as portas não se fecharão.
2 I will go before thee, and will humble the great ones of the earth: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and will burst the bars of iron.
Eu irei diante de ti, e endireitarei os caminhos tortos: quebrarei as portas de bronze, e despedeçarei os ferrolhos de ferro.
3 And I will give thee hidden treasures, and the concealed riches of secret places: that thou mayest know that I am the Lord who call thee by thy name, the God of Israel.
E te darei os tesouros das escuridades, e as riquezas encobertas, para que possas saber que eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, que te chama pelo teu nome.
4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have made a likeness of thee, and thou hast not known me.
Por amor de meu servo Jacob, e de Israel, meu eleito, eu a ti te chamei pelo teu nome, puz-te o teu sobrenome, ainda que me não conhecesses.
5 I am the Lord, and there is none else: there is no God, besides me: I girded thee, and thou hast not known me:
Eu sou o Senhor, e não há outro: fora de mim não há Deus: eu te cingirei, ainda que tu me não conheças.
6 That they may know who are from the rising of the sun, and they who are from the west, that there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is none else:
Para que se saiba desde o nascente do sol, e desde o poente, que fora de mim não há outro: eu sou o Senhor, e não há outro.
7 I form the light, and create darkness, I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord that do all these things.
Eu formo a luz, e crio as trevas; eu faço a paz, e crio o mal: eu, o Senhor, faço todas estas coisas.
8 Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just: let the earth be opened, and bud forth a saviour: and let justice spring up together: I the Lord have created him.
Destilai vós, céus, dessas alturas, e as nuvens chovam justiça, abra-se a terra, e produza-se toda a sorte de salvação, e a justiça frutifique, juntamente; eu o Senhor, as criei
9 Woe to him that gainsayeth his maker, a sherd of the earthen pots: shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it: What art thou making, and thy work is without hands?
Ai daquele que contende com o que o formou; o caco contenda com os cacos de barro: porventura dirá o barro ao que o formou: Que fazes? ou a tua obra: Não tens mãos?
10 Woe to him that saith to his father: Why begettest thou? and to the woman: Why dost thou bring forth?
Ai daquele que diz ao pai: Que é o que geras? e à mulher: Que é o que pares?
11 Thus saith the Lord the Holy One of Israel, his maker: Ask me of things to come, concerning my children, and concerning the work of my hands give ye charge to me.
Assim diz o Senhor, o Santo de Israel, aquele que o formou: perguntai-me as coisas futuras; demandai-me acerca de meus filhos, e acerca da obra das minhas mãos.
12 I made the earth: and I created man upon it: my hand stretched forth the heavens, and I have commanded all their host.
Eu fiz a terra, e criei nela o homem; eu o fiz; as minhas mãos estenderam os céus, e a todos os seus exércitos dei as minhas ordens.
13 I have raised him up to justice, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and let go my captives, not for ransom, nor for presents, saith the Lord the God of hosts.
Eu o despertei em justiça, e todos os seus caminhos endireitarei: ele edificará a minha cidade, e soltará os meus cativos, não por preço nem por presentes, diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
14 Thus saith the Lord: The labour of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and of Sabaim, men of stature shall come over to thee, and shall be thins: they shall walk after thee, they shall go bound with manacles: and they shall worship thee, and shall make supplication to thee: only in thee is God, and there is no God besides thee.
Assim diz o Senhor: O trabalho do Egito, e o comércio dos ethiopes, e dos sabeus, homens de Alta estatura, se passarão para ti, e serão teus; irão atráz de ti, passarão em grilhões, e a ti se prostrarão; far-te-ão as suas suplicas diante de ti, dizendo: deveras Deus está em ti, e nenhum outro deus há mais.
15 Verily thou art a hidden God, the God of Israel the saviour.
Verdadeiramente tu és o Deus que se encobre, o Deus de Israel, o Salvador.
16 They are all confounded and ashamed: the forgers of errors are gone together into confusion.
Envergonhar-se-ão, e também se confundirão todos: cairão juntamente na afronta os que fabricam imagens.
17 Israel is saved in the Lord with as eternal salvation: you shall not be confounded, and you shall not be ashamed for ever and ever.
Porém Israel é salvo pelo Senhor, por uma eterna salvação; pelo que não sereis envergonhados nem confundidos em todas as eternidades.
18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens, God himself that formed the earth, and made it, the very maker thereof: he did not create it in vain: he formed it to be inhabited. I am the Lord, and there is no other.
Porque assim diz o Senhor que tem criado os céus, o Deus que formou a terra, e a fez; ele a confirmou, não a criou vazia, mas a formou para que fosse habitada: Eu sou o Senhor e não há outro.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I have not said to the seed of Jacob: Seek me in vain. I am the Lord that speak justice, that declare right things.
Não falei em oculto, nem em lugar algum escuro da terra: não disse à semente de Jacob: buscai-me em vão: eu sou o Senhor, que fala a justiça, e anuncío coisas retas.
20 Assemble yourselves, and come, and draw near together, ye that are saved of the Gentiles: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven work, and pray to a god that cannot save.
Congregai-vos, e vinde; chegai-vos juntos, os que escapastes das nações: nada sabem os que trazem em procissão as suas imagens de escultura, de madeira feitas, e rogam a um deus que não pode salvar.
21 Tell ye, and come, and consult together: who hath declared this from the beginning, who hath foretold this from that time? Have not I the Lord, and there is no God else besides me? A just God and a saviour, there is none besides me.
Anunciai, e chegai-vos, e tomai conselho todos juntos: quem fez ouvir isto desde a antiguidade? quem desde então o anunciou? porventura não sou eu, o Senhor? e não há outro Deus senão eu; Deus justo e Salvador não o há fora de mim.
22 Be converted to me, and you shall be saved, all ye ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is no other.
Virai-vos para mim, e sereis salvos, vós, todos os termos da terra; porque eu sou Deus, e não há outro.
23 I have sworn by myself, the word of justice shall go out of my mouth, and shall not return: For every knee shall be bowed to me, and every tongue shall swear.
Por mim mesmo tenho jurado, e já saiu da minha boca a palavra de justiça, e não tornará atráz: que diante de mim se dobrará todo o joelho, e por mim jurará toda a língua.
24 Therefore shall he say: In the Lord are my justices and empire: they shall come to him, and all that resist him shall be confounded.
De mim se dirá: deveras no Senhor há justiças e força: até ele chegarão; mas serão envergonhados todos os que se indignarem contra ele.
25 In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified and praised.
Porém no Senhor será justificada, e se glóriará toda a semente de Israel.
