Isaiah 33
1 Woe to thee that spoilest, shalt not thou thyself also be spoiled? and thou that despisest, shalt not thyself also be despised? when thou shalt have made an end of spoiling, thou shalt be spoiled: when being wearied thou shalt cease to despise, thou shalt be despised.
¡Ay de ti, el que saqueas, y nunca fuiste saqueado; el que haces deslealtad, y que nadie la hizo contra ti! Cuando acabares de saquear, serás tú también saqueado; y cuando acabares de hacer deslealtad, se hará también contra ti.
2 O Lord, have mercy on us: for we have waited for thee: be thou our arm in the morning, and our salvation in the time of trouble.
Oh SEÑOR, ten misericordia de nosotros, a ti esperamos; tú que fuiste fortaleza de su pueblo al principio, sé también nuestra salud en tiempo de la tribulación.
3 At the voice of the angel the people fled, and at the lifting up thyself the nations are scattered.
Los pueblos huyeron de la voz del estruendo; los gentiles fueron esparcidos, cuando tú te levantas contra ellos.
4 And your spoils shall be gathered together as the locusts are gathered, as when the ditches are full of them.
Mas vuestra presa será cogida como cuando cogen las orugas; correrá sobre ellos como de una a otra parte corren las langostas.
5 The Lord is magnified, for he hath dwelt on high: he hath filled Sion with judgment and justice.
Será ensalzado el SEÑOR, el cual mora en las alturas; porque llenó a Sion de juicio y de justicia.
6 And there shall be faith in thy times: riches of salvation, wisdom and knowledge: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.
Y reinarán en tus tiempos la sabiduría y la ciencia, y la fuerza de la salvación; el temor del SEÑOR será su tesoro.
7 Behold they that see shall cry without, the angels of peace shall weep bitterly.
He aquí, que sus embajadores darán voces afuera, los mensajeros de paz llorarán amargamente.
8 The ways are made desolate, no one passeth by the road, the covenant is made void, he hath rejected the cities, he hath not regarded the men.
Las calzadas serán deshechas; cesaron los caminantes; anuló la alianza, aborreció las ciudades, tuvo en nada los hombres.
9 The land hath mourned, and languished: Libanus is confounded and become foul, and Saron is become as a desert: and Basan and Carmel are shaken.
Se enlutó, enfermó la tierra; el Líbano se avergonzó, y fue cortado; Sarón fue tornado como desierto. Basán, y el Carmelo fueron sacudidos.
10 Now will I rise up, saith the Lord: now will I be exalted, now will I lift up myself.
Ahora me levantaré, dice el SEÑOR; ahora seré ensalzado, ahora seré engrandecido.
11 You shall conceive heat, you shall bring forth stubble: your breath as fire shall devour you.
Concebisteis hojarascas, daréis a luz aristas; el soplo de vuestro fuego os consumirá.
12 And the people shall be as ashes after a fire, as a bundle of thorns they shall be burnt with fire.
Y los pueblos serán como cal quemada, como espinas cortadas serán quemadas con fuego.
13 Hear, you that are far off, what I have done, and you that are near know my strength.
Oíd, los que estáis lejos, lo que he hecho; y vosotros los cercanos, conoced mi potencia.
14 The sinners in Sion are afraid, trembling hath seized upon the hypocrites. Which of you can dwell with devouring fire? which of you shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Los pecadores se asombraron en Sion, espanto sobrecogió a los hipócritas. ¿Quién de nosotros morará con el fuego consumidor? ¿Quién de nosotros habitará con las llamas eternas?
15 He that walketh in justices, and speaketh truth, that casteth away avarice by oppression, and shaketh his hands from all bribes, that stoppeth his ears lest he hear blood, and shutteth his eyes that he may see no evil.
El que camina en justicia, el que habla rectitud, el que aborrece la ganancia de violencias, el que sacude sus manos de recibir cohecho; el que tapa su oreja, por no oír sangre; el que aprieta sus ojos, por no ver cosa mala;
16 He shall dwell on high, the fortifications of rocks shall be his highness: bread is given him, his waters are sure.
éste habitará en las alturas; fortaleza de rocas será su lugar de acogimiento; a éste se dará su pan, y sus aguas serán ciertas.
17 His eyes shall see the king in his beauty, they shall see the land far off.
Tus ojos verán al Rey en su hermosura; verán la tierra que está lejos.
18 Thy heart shall meditate fear: where is the learned? where is he that pondereth the words of the law? where is the teacher of little ones?
Tu corazón imaginará el espanto, y dirá: ¿Qué es del escriba? ¿Qué es del pesador del tributo? ¿Qué es del que pone en lista las casas más insignes?
19 The shameless people thou shalt not see, the people of profound speech: so that thou canst not understand the eloquence of his tongue, in whom there is no wisdom.
No verás a aquel pueblo espantable, pueblo de lengua oscura de entender, de lengua tartamuda, que no lo comprendas.
20 Look upon Sion the city of our solemnity: thy eyes shall see Jerusalem, a rich habitation, a tabernacle that cannot be removed: neither shall the nails thereof be taken away for ever, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken:
Verás a Sion, ciudad de nuestras solemnidades; tus ojos verán a Jerusalén, morada de quietud; tienda que no será desarmada, ni sus estacas serán arrancadas, ni ninguna de sus cuerdas será rota.
21 Because only there our Lord is magnificent: it place of rivers, very broad and spacious streams: no ship with oars shall pass by it, neither shall the great galley pass through it.
Porque ciertamente allí será fuerte a nosotros el SEÑOR, lugar de riberas, de arroyos muy anchos, por el cual no andará galera, ni por él pasará gran navío.
22 For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king: he will save us.
Porque el SEÑOR será nuestro juez, el SEÑOR será nuestro dador de leyes, el SEÑOR será nuestro rey, él mismo nos salvará.
23 Thy tacklings are loosed, and they shall be of no strength: thy mast shall be in such condition, that thou shalt not be able to spread the flag. Then shall the spoils of much prey be divided: the lame shall take the spoil.
Tus cuerdas se aflojaron; no afirmaron su mástil, ni entesaron la vela; se repartirá presa de muchos despojos; hasta los cojos arrebatarán presa.
24 Neither shall he that is near, say: I am feeble. The people that dwell therein, shall have their iniquity taken away from them.
No dirá el morador: Estoy enfermo; el pueblo que morare en ella, será absuelto de pecado.
