Genesis 8
1 And God remembered Noe, and all the living creatures, and all the cattle which were with him in the ark, and brought a wind upon the earth, and the waters were abated.
Und Gott gedachte Noachs und alles Wildes und alles Viehs, das mit ihm in der Arche war, und Gott ließ einen Wind hingehen über die Erde und die Wasser legten sich.
2 The fountains also of the deep, and the flood gates of heaven were shut up, and the rain from heaven was restrained.
Und die Brunnquellen des Abgrundes und die Fenster des Himmels wurden verstopft, und dem Regen vom Himmel ward gewehrt.
3 And the waters returned from off the earth going and coming: and they began to be abated after a hundred and fifty days.
Und die Wasser kehrten zurück von der Erde, sie gingen und kehrten zurück, und die Wasser verringerten sich am Ende von hundertfünfzig Tagen.
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, the seven and twentieth day of the month, upon the mountains of Armenia.
Und die Arche ruhte im siebenten Monat am siebzehnten Tage des Monats auf den Bergen Ararat.
5 And the waters were going and decreasing until the tenth month: for in the tenth month, the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared.
Und die Wasser gingen und verringerten sich bis zum zehnten Monat. Am ersten des zehnten Monats wurden die Spitzen der Berge gesehen.
6 And after that forty days were passed, Noe, opening the window of the ark which he had made, sent forth a raven:
Und es geschah am Ende von vierzig Tagen, daß Noach öffnete das Fenster der Arche, das er gemacht hatte.
7 Which went forth and did not return, till the waters were dried up upon the earth.
Und er sandte den Raben aus. Und er ging aus, ausgehend und zurückkehrend, bis die Wasser von der Erde vertrockneten.
8 He sent forth also a dove after him, to see if the waters had now ceased upon the face of the earth.
Und er sandte die Taube von sich fort, um zu sehen, ob die Wasser auf dem Boden leichter wären.
9 But she, not finding where her foot might rest, returned to him into the ark: for the waters were upon the whole earth: and he put forth his hand, and caught her, and brought her into the ark.
Aber die Taube fand keine Ruhe für die Sohle ihres Fußes; und sie kehrte zu ihm zurück zur Arche; denn die Wasser waren auf dem Angesichte der ganzen Erde, und er streckte seine Hand aus und nahm sie und brachte sie herein zu sich in die Arche.
10 And having waited yet seven other days, he again sent forth the dove out of the ark.
Und er wartete noch sieben andere Tage und sandte die Taube wieder aus der Arche.
11 And she came to him in the evening, carrying a bough of an olive tree, with green leaves, in her mouth. Noe therefore understood that the waters were ceased upon the earth.
Und die Taube kam herein zu ihm um die Abendzeit, und siehe, sie hatte ein abgepflücktes Blatt vom Ölbaum in ihrem Munde. Und Noach wußte, daß die Wasser auf der Erde leichter geworden.
12 And he stayed yet other seven days: and he sent forth the dove, which returned not any more unto him.
Und er wartete noch sieben andere Tage und entsandte die Taube; und sie kam nicht abermals wieder zu ihm zurück.
13 Therefore in the six hundredth and first year, the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were lessened upon the earth, and Noe opening the covering of the ark, looked, and saw that the face of the earth was dried.
Und es geschah im sechshundert und ersten Jahre, im Anfang, am ersten des Monats, waren die Wasser von der Erde aufgetrocknet. Und Noach nahm die Decke weg von der Arche, und sah, und siehe, die Angesichte des Bodens waren aufgetrocknet.
14 In the second month, the seven and twentieth day of the month, the earth was dried.
Und im zweiten Monat am siebenundzwanzigsten Tage des Monats ward die Erde trocken.
15 And God spoke to Noe, saying:
Und Gott redete zu Noach und sprach:
16 Go out of the ark, thou and thy wife, thy sons, and the wives of thy sons with thee.
Geh aus von der Arche du und dein Weib, und deine Söhne und deiner Söhne Weiber mit dir.
17 All living things that are with thee of all flesh, as well in fowls as in beasts, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, bring out with thee, and go ye upon the earth: increase and multiply upon it.
Alles Wild, das mit dir ist, von allem Fleisch, an Gevögel und an Vieh, und an allem Kriechtiere, das kriecht auf der Erde, laß herausgehen mit dir, und laß sie wimmeln auf der Erde und fruchtbar sein und sich mehren auf der Erde.
18 So Noe went out, he and his sons: his wife, and the wives of his sons with him.
Und Noach ging heraus, und seine Söhne und sein Weib und seiner Söhne Weiber mit ihm.
19 And all living things, and cattle, and creeping things that creep upon the earth, according to their kinds, went out of the ark.
Alles Wild, alles Kriechtier und alles Gevögel, alles, was kriecht auf der Erde, nach ihren Familien gingen sie heraus aus der Arche.
20 And Noe built an altar unto the Lord: and taking of all cattle and fowls that were clean, offered holocausts upon the altar.
Und Noach baute dem Jehovah einen Altar, und nahm von allem reinen Vieh und von allem reinen Gevögel und opferte Brandopfer auf auf dem Altare.
21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and said: I will no more curse the earth for the sake of man: for the imagination and thought of man’s heart are prone to evil from his youth: therefore I will no more destroy every living soul as I have done.
Und Jehovah roch den Geruch der Ruhe, und Jehovah sprach in Seinem Herzen: Ich will fortan dem Boden nicht mehr fluchen um des Menschen halben; denn das Gebilde des Menschen Herzens ist böse von seiner Jugend auf, und Ich will hinfort nicht mehr alles Lebendige schlagen, wie Ich getan habe.
22 All the days of the earth, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, night and day, shall not cease.
Forthin, während aller Tage der Erde soll nimmermehr aufhören Samen und Ernte und Frost und Hitze und Sommer und Winter, und Tag und Nacht.
