Genesis 46
1 And Israel taking his journey, with all that he had, came to the well of the oath, and killing victims there to the God of his father Isaac,
೧ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ತನಗಿದ್ದ ಸರ್ವಸ್ವವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಇಸಾಕನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
2 He heard him by a vision in the night calling him, and saying to him: Jacob, Jacob. And he answered him: Lo, here I am.
೨ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ, “ಯಾಕೋಬನೇ, ಯಾಕೋಬನೇ” ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲು, ಅವನು, “ಇಗೋ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.
3 God said to him: I am the most mighty God of thy father: fear not, go down into Egypt, for I will make a great nation of thee there.
೩ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನೇ ದೇವರು, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ದೇವರು ನಾನೇ; ನೀನು ಗಟ್ಟಾ ಇಳಿದು ಹೆದರದೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಮಹಾ ಜನಾಂಗವುಂಟಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
4 I will go down with thee thither, and will bring thee back again from thence: Joseph also shall put his hands upon thy eyes.
೪ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವೆನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವೆನು; (ನಿನ್ನ ಅವಸಾನಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ) ನಿನ್ನ ಮರಣದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದು ಸಂತೈಸುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
5 And Jacob rose up from the well of the oath: and his sons took him up, with their children and wives in the wagons, which Pharao had sent to carry the old man,
೫ಬಳಿಕ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟನು. ಫರೋಹನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನೂ, ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟರು.
6 And all that he had in the land of Chanaan, and he came into Egypt with all his seed:
೬ಯಾಕೋಬನೂ, ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ದನಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಾವು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದರು.
7 His sons, and grandsons, daughters, and all his offspring together.
೭ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ, ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡಲೇ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು.
8 And these are the names of the children of Israel, that entered into Egypt, he and his children. His firstborn Ruben,
೮ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಸೇರಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು: ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನಾದ ರೂಬೇನನು.
9 The sons of Ruben: Henoch and Phallu, and Hesron and Charmi.
೯ರೂಬೇನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಹನೋಕ್, ಫಲ್ಲೂ, ಹೆಚ್ರೋನ್, ಕರ್ಮೀ.
10 The sons of Simeon: Jamuel and Jamin and Ahod, and Jachin and Sohar, and Saul the son of a woman of Chanaan.
೧೦ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಯೆಮೂವೇಲ್, ಯಾಮೀನ್, ಓಹದ್, ಯಾಕೀನ್, ಚೋಹರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾನಾನ್ಯ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಸೌಲ.
11 The sons of Levi: Gerson and Caath and Merari.
೧೧ಲೇವಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಗೇರ್ಷೋನ್, ಕೆಹಾತ್, ಮೆರಾರೀ.
12 The sons of Juda: Her and Onan and Sela and Phares and Zara. And Her and Onan died in the land of Chanaan. And sons were born to Phares: Hesron and Hamul.
೧೨ಯೆಹೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಏರ್, ಓನಾನ್, ಶೇಲಾಹ, ಪೆರೆಚ್, ಜೆರಹ. ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್, ಓನಾನ್ ಎಂಬವರು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು. ಪೆರೆಚನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಹೆಚ್ರೋನ್, ಹಾಮೂಲ್.
13 The sons of Issachar: Thola and Phua and Job and Semron.
೧೩ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ತೋಲಾ, ಪುವ್ವಾ, ಯೋಬ್, ಶಿಮ್ರೋನ್.
14 The sons of Zabulon: Sared and Elon and Jahelel.
೧೪ಜೆಬುಲೂನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಸೆರೆದ್, ಏಲೋನ್, ಯಹ್ಲೇಲ್
15 These are the sons of Lia, whom she bore in Mesopotamia of Syria, with Dina his daughter. All the souls of her sons and daughters, thirty-three.
೧೫ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಲೇಯಳ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು. ಆಕೆಯು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ಇವರನ್ನೂ, ದೀನಳೆಂಬ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪದ್ದನ್ ಅರಾಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆದಳು. ಆಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ.
16 The sons of Gad: Sephian and Haggi and Suni and Esebon and Heri and Arodi and Areli.
೧೬ಗಾದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಚಿಪ್ಯೋನ್, ಹಗ್ಗೀ, ಶೂನೀ, ಎಚ್ಬೋನ್, ಏರೀ, ಅರೋದೀ, ಅರೇಲೀ;
17 The sons of Aser: Jamne and Jesua and Jessuri and Beria, and Sara their sister. The sons of Beria: Heber and Melchiel.
೧೭ಆಶೇರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಇಮ್ನಾ, ಇಷ್ವಾ, ಇಷ್ವೀ, ಬೆರೀಗಾ, ಇವರ ತಂಗಿಯಾದ ಸೆರಹ; ಬೆರೀಗನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಹೆಬೆರ್, ಮಲ್ಕೀಯೇಲ್.
18 These are the sons of Zelpha, whom Laban gave to Lia his daughter. And these she bore to Jacob, sixteen souls.
೧೮ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಲಾಬಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಲೇಯಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಜಿಲ್ಪಳ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು. ಈಕೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಹದಿನಾರು ಮಂದಿ.
19 The sons of Rachel Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
೧೯ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ರಾಹೇಲಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯೋಸೇಫ್, ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್.
20 And sons were born to Joseph, in the land of Egypt, whom Aseneth the daughter of Putiphare priest of Heliopolis bore him: Manasses and Ephraim.
೨೦ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಓನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪುರೋಹಿತನಾದ ಪೋಟೀಫೆರನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಆಸನತ್ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಮನಸ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್.
21 The sons of Benjamin: Bela and Bechor and Asbel and Gera and Naaman and Echi and Ros and Mophim and Ophim and Ared.
೨೧ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಬಿಳಾ, ಬೆಕೆರ್, ಅಶ್ಬೇಲ್, ಗೇರಾ, ನಾಮಾನ್, ಏಹೀ, ರೋಷ್, ಮುಪ್ಪೀಮ್, ಹುಪ್ಪೀಮ್, ಆರ್ದ್.
22 These are the sons of Rachel, whom she bore to Jacob: all the souls, fourteen.
೨೨ಈ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ಮಂದಿಯು ರಾಹೇಲಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಂದಾದ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು.
23 The sons of Dan: Husim.
೨೩ದಾನನ ಮಗನು: ಹುಶೀಮ್.
24 The sons of Nephtali: Jaziel and Guni and Jeser and Sallem.
೨೪ನಫ್ತಾಲಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಯಹೇಲ್, ಗೂನೀ, ಯೇಚೆರ್, ಶಿಲ್ಲೇಮ್.
25 These are the sons of Bala, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter: and these she bore to Jacob: all the souls, seven.
೨೫ಇವರು ಲಾಬಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ರಾಹೇಲಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಬಿಲ್ಹಳ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು. ಈಕೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ.
26 All the souls that went with Jacob into Egypt, and that came out of his thigh, besides his sons’ wives, sixty-six.
೨೬ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಸೊಸೆಯರಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಂದಲೇ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದವರು ಒಟ್ಟು ಅರವತ್ತಾರು ಮಂದಿ.
27 And the sons of Joseph, that were born to him in the land of Egypt, two souls. All the souls of the house of Jacob, that entered into Egypt, were seventy.
೨೭ಅವರಲ್ಲದೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಇಬ್ಬರು. ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಒಟ್ಟು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ.
28 And he sent Juda before him to Joseph, to tell him; and that he should meet him in Gessen.
೨೮ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೂದನನ್ನು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ,
29 And when he was come thither, Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet his father, in the same place: and seeing him, he fell upon his neck, and embracing him wept.
೨೯ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ರಥವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಷೆನಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿ, ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಅತ್ತನು.
30 And the father said to Joseph: Now shall I die with joy, because I have seen thy face, and leave thee alive.
೩೦ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ನೀನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಜೀವದಿಂದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಸಂತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
31 And Joseph said to his brethren, and to all his father’s house: I will go up, and will tell Pharao, and will say to him: My brethren and my father’s house, that were in the land of Chanaan, are come to me:
೩೧ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರನ್ನೂ, ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು “ನಾನು ಹೋಗಿ ಫರೋಹನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಬಂದ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರೂ, ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ;
32 And the men are shepherds, and their occupation is to feed cattle: their flocks and herds, and all they have, they have brought with them.
೩೨ಅವರು ಕುರಿಕಾಯುವವರು, ಪಶುಪಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಅವರ ಕಸುಬು; ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಮಗಿರುವ ಸರ್ವಸ್ವವನ್ನೂ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
33 And when he shall call you, and shall say: What is your occupation?
೩೩ಫರೋಹನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಸುಬು ಏನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ,
34 You shall answer: We thy servants are shepherds, from our infancy until now, both we and our fathers. And this you shall say, that you may dwell in the land of Gessen, because the Egyptians have all shepherds in abomination.
೩೪“ನೀವು ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಪಶುಪಾಲಕರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ. ಪಶುಪಾಲಕರು ಐಗುಪ್ತರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸುವನು” ಎಂದನು.
