Ezekiel 22
1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
Bấy giờ, sứ điệp của Chúa Hằng Hữu truyền cho tôi:
2 And thou son of man, dost thou not judge, dost thou not judge the city of blood?
“Hỡi con người, con đã sẵn sàng để xét xử Giê-ru-sa-lem chưa? Con đã sẵn sàng để xét xử thành của kẻ sát nhân này chưa? Hãy công khai tố cáo tội ác nó,
3 And thou shalt shew her all her abominations, and shalt say: Thus saith the Lord God: This is the city that sheddeth blood in the midst of her, that her time may come: and that hath made idols against herself, to defile herself.
và truyền cho nó sứ điệp của Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao: Hỡi thành của kẻ sát nhân, bị lên án và diệt vong—thành phố đầy thần tượng, bẩn thỉu, và hôi thối—
4 Thou art become guilty in thy blood which thou hast shed: and thou art defiled in thy idols which thou hast made: and thou hast made thy days to draw near, and hast brought on the time of thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach to the Gentiles, and a mockery to all countries.
ngươi là kẻ có tội vì máu của ngươi đổ khắp nơi. Ngươi tự làm nhơ bẩn vì những thần tượng ngươi đã tạo. Ngày diệt vong của ngươi đã đến! Năm của ngươi đã tận. Ta sẽ khiến ngươi làm trò cười và hổ nhục cho thế gian.
5 Those that are near, and those that are far from thee, shall triumph over thee: thou filthy one, infamous, great in destruction.
Hỡi thành phản loạn, đầy nhơ nhuốc, người ta sẽ chế giễu ngươi khắp các nước gần xa.
6 Behold the princes of Israel, every one hath employed his arm in thee to shed blood.
Mỗi lãnh đạo của Ít-ra-ên sống trong thành này đều ra sức làm đổ máu.
7 They have abused father and mother in thee, they have oppressed the stranger in the midst of thee, they have grieved the fatherless and widow in thee.
Ở giữa ngươi, con cái khinh cha, nhiếc mẹ. Người di cư và kiều dân bị bóc lột. Các cô nhi và quả phụ bị hà hiếp và áp bức.
8 Thou hast despised my sanctuaries, and profaned my sabbaths.
Ngươi khinh thường những vật thánh của Ta và vi phạm ngày Sa-bát.
9 Slanderers have been in thee to shed blood, and they have eaten upon the mountains in thee, they have committed wickedness in the midst of thee.
Người ta vu cáo để giết hại người khác. Các đỉnh núi đồi đầy dẫy thần tượng và mọi nơi đầy những gian dâm.
10 They have discovered the nakedness of their father in thee, they have humbled the uncleanness of the menstruous woman in thee.
Có kẻ dâm loạn với kế mẫu mình và có kẻ làm nhục phụ nữ đang có kinh nguyệt.
11 And every one hath committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife, and the father in law hath wickedly defiled his daughter in law, the brother hath oppressed his sister the daughter of his father in thee.
Trong thành này có người gian dâm với vợ của người láng giềng, loạn luân với con dâu, hoặc hãm hiếp chị em gái.
12 They have taken gifts in thee to shed blood: thou hast taken usury and increase, and hast covetously oppressed thy neighbours: and then hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.
Khắp nơi đều có bọn giết mướn, bọn cho vay nặng lãi, và bọn tống tiền. Chúng không bao giờ nghĩ đến Ta và mệnh lệnh Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán vậy.
13 Behold, I have clapped my hands at thy covetousness, which thou hast exercised and at the blood that hath been shed: In the midst of thee.
Nhưng bây giờ, Ta đập hai tay buộc ngươi chấm dứt những cuộc lưu huyết và thủ lợi cách gian lận.
14 Shall thy heart endure, or shall thy hands prevail ill the days which I will bring upon thee: I the Lord have spoken, and will do it.
Ngày Ta xử đoán, ngươi còn làm ra vẻ mạnh dạn, can đảm nữa hay không? Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, đã phán vậy, và Ta sẽ thực hiện điều Ta đã phán.
15 And I will disperse thee in the nations, and will scatter thee among the countries, and I will put an end to thy uncleanness in thee.
Ta sẽ phân tán ngươi giữa các nước và tẩy ngươi cho sạch các chất nhơ bẩn.
16 And I will possess thee in the sight of the Gentiles, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
Ngươi sẽ bị ô nhục giữa các dân tộc, và ngươi sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu.”
17 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
Rồi Chúa Hằng Hữu truyền sứ điệp này cho tôi:
18 Son of man, the house of Israel is become dress to me: all these are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace: they are become the dress of silver.
“Hỡi con người, dân tộc Ít-ra-ên đã trở thành cặn bã trong lò nấu bạc. Chúng là một thứ cáu cặn gồm đồng, thiếc, sắt, và chì.
19 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Because you are all turned into dress, therefore behold I will gather you together in the midst of Jerusalem.
Vậy hãy nói với chúng rằng: ‘Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: Vì ngươi là cáu cặn vô giá trị, Ta sẽ đem ngươi đến lò nấu bạc tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
20 As they gather silver, and brass, and tin, and iron, and lead in the midst of the furnace: that I may kindle a fire in it to melt it: so will I gather you together in my fury and in my wrath, and will take my rest, and I will melt you down.
Như đồng, sắt, chì, và thiếc bị tan chảy trong lò luyện thế nào, thì Ta cũng sẽ khiến ngươi chảy tan trong sức nóng của cơn thịnh nộ Ta.
21 And I will gather you together, and will burn you in the fire of my wrath, and you shall be melted in the midst thereof.
Ta sẽ tập hợp ngươi lại và thổi hơi nóng của cơn giận Ta trên ngươi,
22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be in the midst thereof: and you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have poured out my indignation upon you.
và ngươi sẽ chảy tan như bạc trong ngọn lửa hừng. Khi ấy, ngươi sẽ biết rằng Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, đã đổ cơn thịnh nộ ra trên ngươi.’”
23 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
Chúa Hằng Hữu lại truyền sứ điệp này cho tôi:
24 Son of man, say to her: Thou art a land that is unclean, and not rained upon in the day of wrath.
“Hỡi con người, hãy nói với dân tộc Ít-ra-ên sứ điệp này: Trong ngày thịnh nộ của Ta, ngươi sẽ như hoang mạc khô hạn, không có một giọt mưa móc.
25 There is a conspiracy of prophets in the midst thereof: like a lion that roareth and catcheth the prey, they have devoured souls, they have taken riches and hire, they have made many widows in the midst thereof.
Các lãnh đạo ngươi âm mưu hại ngươi như sư tử rình mồi. Chúng ăn tươi nuốt sống dân lành, cướp đoạt của cải và bảo vật. Chúng khiến số quả phụ tăng cao trong nước.
26 Her priests have despised my law, and have defiled my sanctuaries: they have put no difference between holy and profane: nor have distinguished between the polluted and the clean: and they have turned away their eyes from my sabbaths, and I was profaned in the midst of them.
Các thầy tế lễ ngươi đã vi phạm luật pháp Ta và làm hoen ố sự thánh khiết Ta. Chúng không biết phân biệt điều gì là thánh và điều gì không. Chúng không dạy dân chúng biết sự khác nhau giữa các nghi thức tinh sạch và không tinh sạch. Chúng không tôn trọng các ngày Sa-bát, nên Danh Thánh Ta bị chúng xúc phạm.
27 Her princes in the midst of her, are like wolves ravening the prey to shed blood, and to destroy souls, and to run after gains through covetousness.
Các lãnh đạo ngươi giống như muông sói cắn xé các nạn nhân. Chúng cũng giết hại người dân để thủ lợi!
28 And her prophets have daubed them without tempering the mortar, seeing vain things, and divining lies unto them, saying: Thus saith the Lord God: when the Lord hath not spoken.
Các tiên tri ngươi còn che đậy bản chất xấu xa của mình bằng cách bịa ra những khải tượng và những lời tiên tri dối trá. Chúng nói: ‘Sứ điệp của tôi là đến từ Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao,’ mặc dù Chúa Hằng Hữu không bao giờ phán dạy chúng.
29 The people of the land have used oppression, and committed robbery: they afflicted the needy and poor, and they oppressed the stranger by calumny without judgment.
Ngay cả các thường dân cũng áp bức người nghèo khổ, bóc lột người cùng cực, và cướp đoạt công lý của các kiều dân.
30 And I sought among them for a man that might set up a hedge, and stand in the gap before me in favour of the land, that I might not destroy it: and I found none.
Ta trông mong có người xây lại bức tường công chính để bảo vệ đất nước. Ta chờ đợi có người đứng vào chỗ rạn nứt trước mặt Ta để cứu vãn cho dân khỏi bị Ta tiêu diệt, nhưng Ta chẳng tìm được một người.
31 And I poured out my indignation upon them, in the fire of my wrath I consumed them: I have rendered their way upon their own head, saith the Lord God.
Vậy bây giờ Ta sẽ trút đổ cơn giận dữ Ta trên các ngươi, thiêu hủy các ngươi trong ngọn lửa thịnh nộ của Ta. Ta sẽ báo ứng xứng đáng tội ác các ngươi đã phạm. Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao, đã phán vậy!”
