< Exodus 27 >
1 Thou shalt make also an altar of setim wood, which shall be five cubits long and as many broad, that is, foursquare, and three cubits high.
"You shall make the altar of acacia wood, eight feet seven inches long, and eight feet seven inches broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and its height shall be five feet two inches.
2 And there shall be horns at the four corners of the same: and thou shalt cover it with brass.
You shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it; and you shall overlay it with bronze.
3 And thou shalt make for the uses thereof pans to receive the ashes, and tongs and fleshhooks, and firepans: all its vessels thou shalt make of brass.
You shall make its pots to take away its ashes, its shovels, its basins, its flesh hooks, and its fire pans: all its vessels you shall make of bronze.
4 And a grate of brass in manner of a net: at the four corners of which shall be four rings of brass,
You shall make a grating for it of network of bronze: and on the net you shall make four bronze rings in its four corners.
5 Which thou shalt put under the hearth of the altar: and the grate shall be even to the midst of the altar.
You shall put it under the ledge around the altar beneath, that the net may reach halfway up the altar.
6 Thou shalt make also two bars for the altar of setim wood, which thou shalt cover with plates of brass:
You shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.
7 And thou shalt draw them through rings, and they shall be on both sides of the altar to carry it.
Its poles shall be put into the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar, when carrying it.
8 Thou shalt not make it solid, but empty and hollow in the inside, as it was shewn thee in the mount.
You shall make it with hollow planks. They shall make it as it has been shown you on the mountain.
9 Thou shalt make also the court of the tabernacle, in the south side whereof southward there shall be hangings of fine twisted linen of a hundred cubits long for one side.
"You shall make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen one hundred seventy-two feet three inches long for one side:
10 And twenty pillars with as many sockets of brass, the heads of which with their engraving of silver.
and its pillars shall be thirty-four feet five inches, and their sockets twenty, of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.
11 In like manner also on the north side there shall be hangings of a hundred cubits long, twenty pillars, and as many sockets of brass, and their heads with their engraving of silver.
Likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings one hundred seventy-two feet three inches, and its pillars thirty-four feet five inches, and their sockets thirty-four feet five inches, of bronze; the hooks of the pillars, and their fillets, of silver.
12 But in the breadth of the court, that looketh to the west, there shall be hangings of fifty cubits, and ten pillars, and as many sockets.
For the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of eighty-six feet one inch; their pillars seventeen feet three inches, and their sockets seventeen feet three inches.
13 In that breadth also of the court, which looketh to the east, there shall be fifty cubits.
The breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be eighty-six feet one inch.
14 In which there shall be for one side hangings of fifteen cubits, and three pillars and as many sockets.
The hangings for the one side of the gate shall be twenty-five feet ten inches; their pillars five feet two inches, and their sockets five feet two inches.
15 And in the other side there shall be hangings of fifteen cubits, with three pillars and as many sockets.
For the other side shall be hangings of twenty-five feet ten inches; their pillars five feet two inches, and their sockets five feet two inches.
16 And in the entrance of the court there shall be made a hanging of twenty cubits of violet and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen, with embroidered work: it shall have four pillars with as many sockets.
For the gate of the court shall be a screen of thirty-four feet five inches, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the embroiderer; their pillars six feet eleven inches, and their sockets six feet eleven inches.
17 All the pillars of the court round about shall be garnished with plates of silver, silver heads and sockets of brass.
All the pillars of the court around shall be filleted with silver; their hooks of silver, and their sockets of bronze.
18 In length the court shall take up a hundred cubits, in breadth fifty, the height shall be of five cubits, and it shall be made of fine twisted linen, and shall have sockets of brass.
The length of the court shall be one hundred seventy-two feet three inches, and the breadth eighty-six feet one inch every where, and the height eight feet seven inches, of fine twined linen, and their sockets of bronze.
19 All the vessels of the tabernacle for all uses and ceremonies, and the pins both of it, and of the court, thou shalt make of brass.
All the instruments of the tabernacle in all its service, and all its pins, and all the pins of the court, shall be of bronze.
20 Command the children of Israel that they bring thee the purest oil of the olives, and beaten with a pestle: that a lamp may burn always,
"You shall command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.
21 In the tabernacle of the testimony without the veil that hangs before the testimony. And Aaron and his sons shall order it, that it may give light before the Lord until the morning. It shall be a perpetual observance throughout their successions among the children of Israel.
In the Tent of Meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before YHWH: it shall be a statute forever throughout their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
