Amos 4
1 Hear this word, ye fat kine that are in the mountains of Samaria: you that oppress the needy, and crush the poor: that say to your masters: Bring, and we will drink.
Pamatia kining pulonga, kamong mga vaca sa Basan nga anaa sa bukid sa Samaria, nga nanagdaugdaug sa mga kabus, nga nagapiit sa mga hangul, nga nanag-ingon sa ilang mga agalon: Pagdala, ug manginum kita.
2 The Lord God hath sworn by his holiness, that lo, the days shall come upon you, when they shall lift you up on pikes, and what shall remain of you in boiling pots.
Ang Ginoong Jehova nanumpa pinaagi sa iyang pagkabalaan, nga, ania karon, ang mga adlaw modangat kaninyo, nga kamo yudyuron nila pinaagi sa mga kau-it, ug ang inyong mga salin pinaagi sa mga taga-sa-isda.
3 And you shall go out at the breaches one over against the other, and you shall be cast forth into Armon, saith the Lord.
Ug kamo manggula sa mga lungag sa kuta, ang tagsatagsa magasunod sa usa sa atubangan niya; ug kamo igatambog sa inyong kaugalingon ngadto sa Harmona, nagaingon si Jehova.
4 Come ye to Bethel, and do wickedly: to Galgal, and multiply transgressions: and bring in the morning your victims, your tithes in three days.
Pangadto kamo sa Beth-el, ug panaglapas kamo; ngadto sa Gilgal, ug padaghana ang pagpakasala; ug dad-a ang inyong mga halad matag-buntag, ug ang inyong mga ikapulo matag-tolo ka adlaw;
5 And offer a sacrifice of praise with leaven: and call free offerings, and proclaim it: for so you would do, O children of Israel, saith the Lord God.
Ug paghalad usa ka halad-sa-pagpasalamat gikan niadtong may levadura, ug isangyaw ang mga halad-nga-kinabubut-on ug imantala sila: kay kini makapahimuot kaninyo, Oh kamong mga anak sa Israel, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova.
6 Whereupon I also have given you dulness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet you have not returned to me, saith the Lord.
Ug gihatagan ko usab kamo sa kahinlo sa ngipon diha sa tanan ninyong mga ciudad, ug kanihit sa tinapay sa tanan ninyong mga dapit; bisan pa niana kamo wala bumalik kanako, nagaingon si Jehova.
7 I also have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon: and the piece whereupon I rained not, withered.
Ug ingon man usab gipugngan ko ang ulan gikan kaninyo, sa may totolo pa ka bulan hangtud sa ting-ani; ug akong gipaulan sa usa ka ciudad, ug kini wala paulana sa laing ciudad: usa ka bahin nga gipaulanan, ug ang bahin nga gipaulanan wala malaya.
8 And two and three cities went to one city to drink water, and were not filled: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.
Tungod niini duruha kun totolo ka ciudad ang nanagsuroy-suroy ngadto sa usa ka ciudad aron sa pag-inum ug tubig, ug sila wala mangatagbaw: bisan pa niini kamo wala bumalik kanako, nagaingon si Jehova.
9 I struck you with a burning wind, and with mildew, the palmerworm hath eaten up your many gardens, and your vineyards: your olive groves, and fig groves: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.
Gihampak ko kamo sa hulaw ug pangalaya sa kahoy: sa daghanan ninyong mga tanaman, ug sa inyong kaparrasan, ug sa inyong mga kahoyng higuera ug sa inyong mga kahoyng olivo, ang ulod nga dangaw-dangaw maoy naglamoy kanila: bisan pa niana kamo wala bumalik kanako, nagaingon si Jehova.
10 I sent death upon you in the way of Egypt, I slew your young men with the sword, even to the captivity of your horses: and I made the stench of your camp to come up into your nostrils: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.
Gipadad-an ko kamo sa kamatay ingon sa nahitabo sa Egipto: ang inyong mga batan-ong lalake akong gipamatay sa espada, ug gikuha ko ang inyong mga kabayo: ug akong gipasulod ang kabaho sa inyong campo bisan pa nganha sa inyong mga ilong: bisan pa niana, kamo wala bumalik kanako, nagaingon si Jehova.
11 I destroyed some of you, as God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha, and you were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.
Akong gilumpag ang mga ciudad sa taliwala ninyo, ingon sa paglumpag sa Dios sa Sodoma ug Gomorra, ug ingon kamo sa mga agipo nga gilanit gikan sa kalayo: bisan pa niana, kamo wala bumalik kanako, nagaingon si Jehova.
12 Therefore I will do these things to thee, O Israel: and after I shall have done these things to thee, be prepared to meet thy God, O Israel.
Busa mao kini ang pagabuhaton ko kanimo, Oh Israel; ug tungod kay kini buhaton ko kanimo, pangandam sa pag-atubang sa imong Dios, Oh Israel.
13 For behold he that formeth the mountains and createth the wind, and declareth his word to man, he that maketh the morning mist, and walketh upon the high places of the earth: the Lord the God of hosts is his name.
Kay, ania karon, siya nga nagahimo sa mga bukid, ug nagabuhat sa hangin, ug nagapahayag sa tawo kong unsa ang iyang hunahuna; nga nagabuhat sa kangiub sa kabuntagon, ug nagatunob sa hatag-as nga mga dapit sa yuta, si Jehova, ang Dios sa mga panon, mao man ang iyang ngalan.
