< 2 Timothy 2 >

1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace which is in Christ Jesus:
Kulwejo awe mwana wani, uyanwe amanaga ango ngali muchigongo chinu chili Munda ya Yesu Kristo.
2 And the things which thou hast heard of me by many witnesses, the same commend to faithful men, who shall be fit to teach others also.
Ne misango jinu wonguwe kwanye kubhasuta bhanfu, ubhayane abhanu bhe chimali bhanu abhatura okubheigisha abhandi ona.
3 Labour as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Usangire jinyako amwi nanye, lwo musilikare wa kisi wa Kristo Yesu.
4 No man, being a soldier to God, entangleth himself with secular businesses; that he may please him to whom he hath engaged himself.
Atalio omusilikare oyo kafurubhendera mu mwanya ogwo gwo emisango je charo, koleleki amukondereshe esebhugenyi ku misango ejo kubhilikilwa.
5 For he also that striveth for the mastery, is not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
Nyabhuliko omunu unu kayajana mwibhilima, atakuyanibhwa lutenga akabheye atagumisishe ebhilagiro.
6 The husbandman, that laboureth, must first partake of the fruits.
Ni kwa kisi omulimi we chimali abhe wo kwamba okulamira omugabho gwa matwasho gaye.
7 Understand what I say: for the Lord will give thee in all things understanding.
Iganilisha kutyo enikubhwira, kwo kubha Omukama kakuyana okusombokerwa emisango jona.
8 Be mindful that the Lord Jesus Christ is risen again from the dead, of the seed of David, according to my gospel.
Mwijuke Yesu Kristo, okusoka mu lwibhuro lwa Daudi, unu asuluywe okusoka mubhafuye. Inu ni kusoka mukulasya omusango gwo mweluro,
9 Wherein I labour even unto bands, as an evildoer; but the word of God is not bound.
kulwe misango ejo eninyasibhwa no kubhoywa amaseka kuti munyamusi. Mbe nawe omusango gwa Nyamuanga gutakubhoywa kwa maseka.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with heavenly glory. (aiōnios g166)
Ku lwejo, enigumilisha ku lwabho bhona abho Nyamuanga amalile okwaula koleleki bhone bhabhone omweluro okusoka ku Kristo Yesu na likusyo lya kajanende. (aiōnios g166)
11 A faithful saying: for if we be dead with him, we shall live also with him.
Obhwaiki bhunu mbokwikilisibhwa: “Chibhe chifuye amwi nage, echikara amwi nage ona,
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us.
labha chikegumilisha, echitunga amwi nage, labha chikamwikana omwene, ona kachikana eswe.
13 If we believe not, he continueth faithful, he can not deny himself.
Chikalema okubha bhe chimali, kasigala omwenene mchimali, kwo kubha atakutura okwirema omwene.
14 Of these things put them in mind, charging them before the Lord. Contend not in words, for it is to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
Gendelela okubhejukisha emisango jinu. Nubhaganye okubhambashanya ku misango. Kwo kubha gutalimo muyelo ku misango jinu. Okusokana na linu bhulimo obhunyamuke ku bhanu abhategelesha.
15 Carefully study to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
Ikomeresha kwa managa okwiyoresha ati wikilisibhwe ku Nyamuanga lwo mukosi oyo atane solo. Likolele lisango lye kisi mu chimali.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they grow much towards ungodliness.
Sigana na inyaika ye charo inu eileta obhunyamuke bhwanfu.
17 And their speech spreadeth like a canker: of whom are Hymeneus and Philetus:
Emisango jebhwe ejiswira lwe chilonda cha imbolera. Kwabho ni Himenayo na Fileto.
18 Who have erred from the truth, saying, that the resurrection is past already, and have subverted the faith of some.
Bhanu ni bhanu abho bhatali ne chimali. Abhaika ati obhusuluko bhwasokeleye. Abhaindura elikirisha lya abhanu.
19 But the sure foundation of God standeth firm, having this seal: the Lord knoweth who are his; and let every one depart from iniquity who nameth the name of the Lord.
Nolwo kutyo, elikirisha lye chimali elya Nyamuanga litimbire, elyo lwandiko linu, “Okubha Omukama kabhamenya abhae, kwo kubha oyo kalyaika lisina lyo Mukama asigane no bhunyamuke.”
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and earth: and some indeed unto honour, but some unto dishonour.
Okubha mu nyumba yo munibhi, itali ati bhilimo ebhinu bhya izaabu na iyela, nawe bhilimo ebhya mati ne bhya limomga. Kwibhyo ni kwo mulimu gwe chibharo ebhindi gutali mulimu gwe chibharo.
21 If any man therefore shall cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified and profitable to the Lord, prepared unto every good work.
Mbe nawe omunu akeyosha omwenene okusoka ku milimu jinu jitali ja bhusibhusi, omwene ni chinu che chibharo. Auywe kubha chinu che chibharo ku Mukama na auywe ku milimu gwe kisi.
22 But flee thou youthful desires, and pursue justice, faith, charity, and peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Iluka inamba yo bhusigaji. Nulubhe echimali, obhurengelesi, elyenda no mulembe amwi na bhanu abhamubhilikila Omukama kwo mwoyo omweru.
23 And avoid foolish and unlearned questions, knowing that they beget strifes.
Nawe uleme amabhusho ge chimumu. Kwo kubha ago agaleta obhulwani.
24 But the servant of the Lord must not wrangle: but be mild towards all men, apt to teach, patient,
Omukosi wa Nyamuanga ateile okulwana, nawe kendibhwa abhe mufura ku bhanu bhona, unu katura okwiigisha, no kwigumilisha.
25 With modesty admonishing them that resist the truth: if peradventure God may give them repentance to know the truth,
Ni bhusi bhusi eigishe kwo bhufura bhanu kayajana nabho. Amwi Nyamuanga katura okubhafundukulira okumenya omweluro gwe chimali.
26 And they may recover themselves from the snares of the devil, by whom they are held captive at his will.
Bhalafye okusoka mumutego gwa Shetani, oyo abhagwasishe koleleki bhakore chinu kenda.
