2 Chronicles 8
1 And at the end of twenty years after Solomon had built the house of the Lord and his own house:

2 He built the cities which Hiram had given to Solomon, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
Salomão construiu as cidades que Huram tinha dado a Salomão, e fez com que as crianças de Israel morassem lá.
3 He went also into Emath Suba, and possessed it.
Solomon foi a Hamath Zobah, e prevaleceu contra ela.
4 And he built Palmira in the desert, and he built other strong cities in Emath.
Ele construiu Tadmor no deserto, e todas as cidades de armazenamento, que ele construiu em Hamath.
5 And he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, walled cities with Rates and bars and locks.
Também construiu Beth Horon no alto e Beth Horon no baixo, cidades fortificadas com muros, portões e barras;
6 Balaath also and all the strong cities that were Solomon’s, and all the cities of the chariots, and the cities of the horsemen. All that Solomon had a mind, and designed, he built in Jerusalem and in Libanus, and in all the land of his dominion.
e Baalath, e todas as cidades de armazenamento que Salomão tinha, e todas as cidades para seus carros, as cidades para seus cavaleiros, e tudo o que Salomão desejava construir para seu prazer em Jerusalém, no Líbano, e em toda a terra de seu domínio.
7 All the people that were left of the Hethites, and the Amorrhites, and the Pherezites, and the Hevites, and the Jebusites, that were not of the stock of Israel:
Quanto a todas as pessoas que ficaram dos hititas, dos amoritas, dos perizitas, dos hivitas e dos jebuseus, que não eram de Israel -
8 Of their children, and of the posterity, whom the children of Israel had not slain, Solomon made to be the tributaries, unto this day.
de seus filhos que foram deixados atrás deles na terra, que os filhos de Israel não consumiram - deles Salomão recrutou trabalho forçado até hoje.
9 But of the children of Israel he set none to serve in the king’s works: for they were men of war, and chief captains, and rulers of his chariots and horsemen.
Mas dos filhos de Israel, Salomão não fez servos para seu trabalho, mas eles eram homens de guerra, chefes de seus capitães e governantes de suas carruagens e de seus cavaleiros.
10 And all the chief captains of king Solomon’s army were two hundred and fifty, who taught the people.
Estes eram os chefes do rei Salomão, mesmo duzentos e cinqüenta, que governavam o povo.
11 And he removed the daughter of Pharao from the city of David, to the house which he had built for her. For the king said: My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, for it is sanctified: because the ark of the Lord came into it.
Salomão criou a filha do Faraó fora da cidade de Davi para a casa que ele havia construído para ela; pois ele disse: “Minha esposa não morará na casa de Davi, rei de Israel, porque os lugares onde veio a arca de Javé são santos”.
12 Then Solomon offered holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of the Lord which he had built before the porch,
Então Salomão ofereceu holocaustos a Javé no altar de Javé que ele tinha construído antes do alpendre,
13 That every day an offering might be made on it according to the ordinance of Moses, in the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the festival days three times a year, that is to say, in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
even como o dever de cada dia exigido, oferecendo de acordo com o mandamento de Moisés nos sábados, nas luas novas e nas festas fixas, três vezes por ano, durante a festa dos pães ázimos, durante a festa das semanas, e durante a festa dos estandes.
14 And he appointed according to the order of David his father the offices of the priests in their ministries: and the Levites in their order to give praise, and minister before the priests according to the duty of every day: and the porters in their divisions by gate and gate: for so David the man of God had commanded.
Ele nomeou, de acordo com a ordenança de Davi, seu pai, as divisões dos sacerdotes ao seu serviço, e os levitas aos seus cargos, para louvar e ministrar diante dos sacerdotes, como o dever de cada dia, os porteiros também por suas divisões em cada portão, pois Davi, o homem de Deus, assim o tinha ordenado.
15 And the priests and Levites departed not from the king’s commandments, as to any thing that he had commanded, and as to the keeping of the treasures.
Eles não se afastaram do mandamento do rei aos sacerdotes e levitas em relação a qualquer assunto ou em relação aos tesouros.
16 Solomon had all charges prepared, from the day that he founded the house of the Lord, until the day wherein he finished it.
Agora todo o trabalho de Salomão foi realizado desde o dia da fundação da casa de Yahweh até a sua conclusão. Assim, a casa de Yahweh foi concluída.
17 Then Solomon went to Asiongaber, and to Ailath, on the coast of the Red Sea, which is in the land of Edom.
Então Salomão foi para Ezion Geber e para Eloth, na costa do mar, na terra de Edom.
18 And Hiram sent him ships by the hands of his servants, and skillful mariners, and they went with Solomon’s servants to Ophir, and they took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought it to king Solomon.
Huram enviou-lhe navios e servos que tinham conhecimento do mar pelas mãos de seus servos; e eles vieram com os servos de Salomão a Ofir, e de lá trouxeram quatrocentos e cinqüenta talentos de ouro, e os trouxeram ao rei Salomão.
