2 Chronicles 4
1 He made also an altar of brass twenty cubits long, and twenty cubits broad, and ten cubits high.
Und er machte einen ehernen Altar: zwanzig Ellen seine Länge, und zwanzig Ellen seine Breite, und zehn Ellen seine Höhe.
2 Also a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass: it was five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits compassed it round about.
Und [1. Kön. 7,23 usw.] er machte das Meer, gegossen, zehn Ellen von seinem einen Rande bis zu seinem anderen Rande, gerundet ringsum, und fünf Ellen seine Höhe; und eine Schnur von dreißig Ellen umfaßte es ringsum.
3 And under it there was the likeness of oxen, and certain engravings on the outside of ten cubits compassed the belly of the sea, as it were with two rows.
Und unter demselben waren Gleichnisse von Rindern, [In 1. Kön. 7,24: Koloquinthen] die es ringsherum umgaben, zehn auf die Elle, das Meer ringsum einschließend; der Rinder [In 1. Kön. 7,24: Koloquinthen] waren zwei Reihen, gegossen aus einem Gusse mit demselben.
4 And the oxen were cast: and the sea itself was set upon the twelve oxen, three of which looked toward the north, and other three toward the west: and other three toward the south, and the other three that remained toward the east, and the sea stood upon them: and the hinder parts of the oxen were inward under the sea.
Es stand auf zwölf Rindern; drei wandten sich gegen Norden, und drei wandten sich gegen Westen, und drei wandten sich gegen Süden, und drei wandten sich gegen Osten; und das Meer war auf denselben, oben darüber, und alle ihre Hinterteile waren nach innen gekehrt.
5 Now the thickness of it was a handbreadth, and the brim of it was like the brim of a cup, or of a crisped lily: and it held three thousand measures.
Und seine Dicke war eine Handbreit, und sein Rand wie die Arbeit eines Becherrandes, wie eine Lilienblüte; an Inhalt faßte es dreitausend Bath.
6 He made also ten lavers: and he see five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them all such things as they mere to offer for holocausts: but the sea was for the priests to wash in.
Und er machte zehn Becken, und er setzte fünf zur Rechten und fünf zur Linken, um darin zu waschen; was zum Brandopfer gehört, spülte man darin ab. Und das Meer war für die Priester, um sich darin zu waschen.
7 And he made ten golden candlesticks, according to the form which they were commanded to be made by: and he set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.
Und er machte die zehn goldenen Leuchter, [Vergl. 1. Kön. 7,49] nach ihrer Vorschrift, und er setzte sie in den Tempel, fünf zur Rechten und fünf zur Linken.
8 Moreover also ten tables: and he set them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. Also a hundred bowls of gold.
Und er machte zehn Tische und stellte sie in den Tempel, fünf zur Rechten und fünf zur Linken; und er machte hundert goldene Sprengschalen.
9 He made also the court of the priests, and a great hall, and doors in the hall, which he covered with brass.
Und er machte den Hof der Priester und den großen Vorhof, [S. 1. Kön. 6,36;7,12] und die Türen [O. die Flügeltür] zu dem Vorhof; und ihre Flügel überzog er mit Erz.
10 And he set the sea on the right side over against the east toward the south.
Und das Meer setzte er auf die rechte Seite ostwärts gegen Süden.
11 And Hiram made caldrons, and fleshhooks, and bowls: and finished all the king’s work in the house of God:
Und Huram machte die Töpfe und die Schaufeln und die Sprengschalen. -Und so vollendete Huram das Werk, [W. das Werk zu machen] welches er für den König Salomo im Hause Gottes machte:
12 That is to say, the two pillars, and the pommels, and the chapiters, and the network, to cover the chapiters over the pommels.
zwei Säulen und die krugförmigen Kapitäle [S. die Anm. zu 1. Kön. 7,41] auf der Spitze der beiden Säulen; und die zwei Netzwerke zur Bedeckung der beiden krugförmigen Kapitäle, die auf der Spitze der Säulen waren;
13 And four hundred pomegranates, and two wreaths of network, so that two rows of pomegranates were joined to each wreath, to cover the pommels, and the chapiters of the pillars.
und die vierhundert Granatäpfel zu den beiden Netzwerken; zwei Reihen Granatäpfel zu jedem Netzwerk, zur Bedeckung der beiden krugförmigen Kapitäle, die oben auf den Säulen waren;
14 He made also bases, and lavers, which he set upon the bases:
und er machte die Gestelle, und machte die Becken auf den Gestellen;
15 One sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;
das eine Meer, und die zwölf Rinder unter demselben;
16 And the caldrons, and fleshhooks, and bowls. All the vessels did Hiram his father make for Solomon in the house of the Lord of the finest brass.
und die Töpfe und die Schaufeln und die Gabeln. Und alle ihre [Wahrsch. zu l.: diese] Geräte machte Huram-Abiw dem König Salomo für das Haus Jehovas von geglättetem Erz.
17 In the country near the Jordan did the king cast them, in a clay ground between Sochot and Saredatha.
Im Jordankreise ließ der König sie gießen in dichter Erde, zwischen Sukkoth und Zeredatha.
18 And the multitude of vessels was innumerable, so that the weight of the brass was not known.
Und Salomo machte alle diese Geräte in sehr großer Menge; denn das Gewicht des Erzes wurde nicht untersucht.
19 And Solomon made all the vessels for the house of God, and the golden altar, and the tables, upon which were the leaves of proposition,
Und Salomo machte alle die Geräte, welche im Hause Gottes waren: und zwar den goldenen Altar; und die Tische, auf welchen die Schaubrote waren;
20 The candlesticks also of most pure gold with their lamps to give light before the oracle, according to the manner.
und die Leuchter und ihre Lampen, um sie nach der Vorschrift vor dem Sprachorte anzuzünden, von geläutertem Golde;
21 And certain flowers, and lamps, and golden tongs: all were made of the finest gold.
und die Blumen und die Lampen und die Lichtschneuzen von Gold [es war lauter Gold]; [O. vollkommenes Gold]
22 The vessels also for the perfumes, and the censers, and the bowls, and the mortars, of pure gold. And he graved the doors of the inner temple, that is, for the holy of holies: and the doors of the temple without were of gold. And thus all the work was finished which Solomon made in the house of the Lord.
und die Lichtmesser und die Sprengschalen und die Schalen und die Räucherpfannen von geläutertem Golde; und den Eingang des Hauses: seine inneren Türflügel, die des Allerheiligsten, und die Flügeltüren des Hauses, des Tempels, von Gold.
