< 2 Chronicles 14 >
1 And Abia slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead: in his days the land was quiet ten years.
Pimmusay ni Abias ket intabonda isuna iti siudad ni David. Ni Asa a putotna ti simmukat kenkuana nga ari. Kadagiti aldawna, adda talna iti daga iti las-ud ti sangapulo a tawen.
2 And Asa did that which was good and pleasing in the sight of his God, and he destroyed the altars of foreign worship, and the high places.
Inaramid ni Asa ti nasayaat ken nalinteg iti imatang ni Yahweh a Diosna,
3 And broke the statues, and cut down the groves.
ta inikkatna dagiti altar dagiti didiosen ken dagiti pagdaydayawan; rinebbana dagiti nasagradoan nga adigi a bato ken tinumbana dagiti tekken ni Asera.
4 And he commanded Juda to seek the Lord the God of their fathers, and to do the law, and all the commandments.
Binilinna ti Juda a sapulenda ni Yahweh a Dios dagiti kapuonanda, ken tungpalenda ti linteg ken dagiti bilinna.
5 And he took away out of all the cities of Juda the altars, and temples, and reigned in peace.
Inikkatna pay dagiti pagdaydayawan ken dagiti altar a pagpupuoran iti insenso kadagiti amin a siudad ti Juda. Natalna ti pagarian ti Juda iti babaen ti turayna.
6 He built also strong cities in Juda, for he was quiet, and there had no wars risen in his time, the Lord giving peace.
Nangibangon isuna kadagiti nasarikedkedan a siudad idiay Juda, ta adda talna iti daga, ken awan ti gubat kadagidiay nga aldaw, gapu ta inikkan isuna ni Yahweh iti talna.
7 And he said to Juda: Let us build these cities, and compass them with walls, and fortify them with towers, and gates, and bars, while all is quiet from wars, because we have sought the Lord the God of our fathers, and he hath given us peace round about. So they built, and there was no hinderance in building.
Ta kinuna ni Asa iti Juda, “Bangonentayo dagitoy a siudad ken paderantayo ti aglawlaw dagitoy, agaramidtayo kadagiti torre, kadagiti ruangan ken kadagiti balunet; kukuatayo pay laeng ti daga gapu ta sinapultayo ni Yahweh a Diostayo. Sinapultayo isuna, ket inikkannatayo iti talna iti aglawlaw.” Isu a nangbangonda ket nagballigida.
8 And Asa had in his army of men that bore shields and spears of Juda three hundred thousand, and of Benjamin that bore shields and drew bows, two hundred and eighty thousand, all these were most valiant men.
Addaan ni Asa iti armada a nakaawit kadagiti kalasag ken gayang; addaan isuna iti 300, 000 a lallaki manipud iti Juda ken 280, 000 a lallaki manipud iti Benjamin a nakaawit kadagiti kalasag ken kadagiti pana. Amin dagitoy ket mamaingel ken natutured a lallaki.
9 And Zara the Ethiopian came out against them with his army of ten hundred thousand men, and with three hundred chariots: and he came as far as Maresa.
Rinaut ida ni Zera a taga-Etiopia a kaduana ti armadana a buklen ti maysa a milyon a soldado ken tallo gasut a karuahe; dimteng isuna idiay Maresa.
10 And Asa went out to meet him, and set his army in array for battle in the vale of Sephata, which is near Maresa:
Ket napan sinabat ni Asa isuna, sada nagpuesto iti tanap ti Zefata idiay Maresa.
11 And he called upon the Lord God, and said: O Lord, there is no difference with thee, whether thou help with few, or with many: help us, O Lord our God: for with confidence in thee, and in thy name, we are come against this multitude. O Lord thou art our God, let not man prevail against thee.
Immawag ni Asa kenni Yahweh a Diosna, a kunana, “O Yahweh, awanen sabali no di sika laeng ti makatulong iti awan pigsana inton adu ti sarangetenna. Tulongannakami O Yahweh a Diosmi, ta agtalekkami kenka, ket iti naganmo, sarangetenmi daytoy nga adu unay a soldado. O Yahweh, sika ti Diosmi; saanmo nga ipalubos a parmekennaka ti tao.”
12 And the Lord terrified the Ethiopians before Asa and Juda: and the Ethiopians fled.
Isu a dinangran ni Yahweh dagiti taga-Etiopia iti sangoanan ni Asa ken ti Juda; naglibas dagiti taga-Etiopia.
13 And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them to Gerara: and the Ethiopians fell even to utter destruction, for the Lord slew them, and his army fought against them, and they were destroyed. And they took abundance of spoils,
Kinamat ida ni Asa ken dagiti soldado a kaduana agingga idiay Gerar. Isu nga adu unay a taga-Etiopia ti napasag ket saandan a makabangon, ta naan-anay a nadadaelda iti sangoanan ni Yahweh ken iti armadana. Nakaad-adu unay ti sinamsam ti armada ni Asa.
14 And they took all the cities round about Gerara: for a great fear was come upon all men: and they pillaged the cities, and carried off much booty.
Dinadael ti armada dagiti amin a barrio iti aglawlaw ti Gerar, ta immay kadagiti agnanaed sadiay ti panagbuteng kenni Yahweh. Sinamsaman ti armada dagiti amin a barrio, ket adu unay ti masamsam kadagitoy.
15 And they destroyed the sheepcotes, and took an infinite number of cattle, and of camels: and returned to Jerusalem.
Dinadael met ti armada dagiti tolda a pagnanaedan dagiti agipaspastor; innalada dagiti adu a karnero, kasta met dagiti kamelio, sada nagsubli idiay Jerusalem.
