1 Timothy 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and of Christ Jesus our hope:

۱ پولس، رسول عیسی مسیح به حکم نجات‌دهنده ما خدا و مسیح عیسی خداوند که امید ما است،

2 To Timothy, his beloved son in faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord.

۲ به فرزند حقیقی خود در ایمان، تیموتاوس. فیض و رحم و سلامتی از جانب خدای پدر وخداوند ما مسیح عیسی بر تو باد.

3 As I desired thee to remain at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some not to teach otherwise,

۳ چنانکه هنگامی که عازم مکادونیه بودم، به شما التماس نمودم که در افسس بمانی تا بعضی را امر کنی که تعلیمی دیگر ندهند،

4 Not to give heed to fables and endless genealogies: which furnish questions rather than the edification of God, which is in faith.

۴ و افسانه‌ها ونسب نامه های نامتناهی را اصغا ننمایند که اینهامباحثات را نه آن تعمیر الهی را که در ایمان است پدید می‌آورد.

5 Now the end of the commandment is charity, from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and an unfeigned faith.

۵ اما غایت حکم، محبت است ازدل پاک و ضمیر صالح و ایمان بی‌ریا.

6 From which things some going astray, are turned aside unto vain babbling:

۶ که از این امور بعضی منحرف گشته به بیهوده‌گویی توجه نموده‌اند،

7 Desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither the things they say, nor whereof they affirm.

۷ و می‌خواهند معلمان شریعت بشوندو حال آنکه نمی فهمند آنچه می‌گویند و نه آنچه به تاکید اظهار می‌نمایند.

8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully:

۸ لیکن می‌دانیم که شریعت نیکو است اگرکسی آن را برحسب شریعت بکار برد.

9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for the just man, but for the unjust and disobedient, for the ungodly, and for sinners, for the wicked and defiled, for murderers of fathers, and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

۹ و این بداند که شریعت بجهت عادل موضوع نمی شود، بلکه برای سرکشان و طاغیان و بی‌دینان وگناهکاران و ناپاکان و حرامکاران و قاتلان پدر و قاتلان مادر و قاتلان مردم

10 For fornicators, for them who defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and whatever other thing is contrary to sound doctrine,

۱۰ و زانیان و لواطان ومردم دزدان و دروغ‌گویان و قسم دروغ خوران وبرای هر عمل دیگری که برخلاف تعلیم صحیح باشد،

11 Which is according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which hath been committed to my trust.

۱۱ برحسب انجیل جلال خدای متبارک که به من سپرده شده است.

12 I give thanks who hath strengthened me, even to Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he hath counted me faithful, putting me in the ministry;

۱۲ و شکر می‌کنم خداوند خود مسیح عیسی را که مرا تقویت داد، چونکه امین شمرده، به این خدمتم ممتاز فرمود،

13 Who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and contumelious. But I obtained the mercy of God, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

۱۳ که سابق کفرگو و مضر وسقطگو بودم، لیکن رحم یافتم از آنرو که ازجهالت در بی‌ایمانی کردم.

14 Now the grace of our Lord hath abounded exceedingly with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

۱۴ اما فیض خداوندما بی‌نهایت افزود با‌ایمان و محبتی که در مسیح عیسی است.

15 A faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into this world to save sinners, of whom I am the chief.

۱۵ این سخن امین است و لایق قبول تام که مسیح عیسی به‌دنیا آمد تا گناهکاران را نجات‌بخشد که من بزرگترین آنها هستم.

16 But for this cause have I obtained mercy: that in me first Christ Jesus might shew forth all patience, for the information of them that shall believe in him unto life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)

۱۶ بلکه از این جهت بر من رحم شد تا اول درمن، مسیح عیسی کمال حلم را ظاهر سازد تا آنانی را که بجهت حیات جاودانی به وی ایمان خواهند‌آورد، نمونه باشم. (aiōnios g166)

17 Now to the king of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

۱۷ باری پادشاه سرمدی و باقی ونادیده را، خدای حکیم وحید را اکرام و جلال تاابدالاباد باد. آمین. (aiōn g165)

18 This precept I commend to thee, O son Timothy; according to the prophecies going before on thee, that thou war in them a good warfare,

۱۸ ‌ای فرزند تیموتاوس، این وصیت را به تو می سپارم برحسب نبوتهایی که سابق بر تو شد تادر آنها جنگ نیکو کنی،

19 Having faith and a good conscience, which some rejecting have made shipwreck concerning the faith.

۱۹ و ایمان و ضمیرصالح را نگاه داری که بعضی این را از خود دورانداخته، مر ایمان را شکسته کشتی شدند.

20 Of whom is Hymeneus and Alexander, whom I have delivered up to Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

۲۰ که از آن جمله هیمیناوس و اسکندر می‌باشند که ایشان را به شیطان سپردم تا تادیب شده، دیگرکفر نگویند.
